<p>“The incident took place at around 8.30 am yesterday. I and a few patients had a narrow escape. Following which, I decided to keep the motorcycle helmet on,” Odisha Bytes quoted Naik as saying.</p>

<p>This sparked outrage and panic among the patients and the staffers.</p>

<p>Local residents condemned concerned authorities' negligence for the poor condition&nbsp;of the hospital.</p>

<p>"Top authorities are aware of the poor condition of the hospital building. Due to no maintenance, the building is turning unsafe," Argus quoted Balakrushna Purohit, a doctor of the hospital as saying.</p>

<p>According to local media reports, the Out Patient Department (OPD) building of the health centre was constructed only five years ago. The sources said that chunks from the ceiling were peeling off due to poor construction work.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>What happened to Prasannajit?</strong></h2>

<p>On June 22, 2023, Prasannajit suffered a severe head injury in an accident, according to reports in local media. He was promptly admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar by his family. After conducting several tests, doctors determined on the following day that Prasannajit had experienced brain death.</p>

<p>Upon receiving a request from the medical professionals for organ donation, Prasannajit's wife, Mrudumanjari Mohapatra, immediately discussed the matter with the entire family. Eventually, they unanimously agreed to donate five of the patient's organs after his passing, with the intention of aiding those in need through transplantation.</p>

<p>"I pray before God that those patients who have got a new lease of life with the transplantation of my husband’s organs live a long and healthy life," Prasannajit’s wife Mrudumanjari was quoted as saying by OdishaTV.</p>

<p>With the consent of the family members, the process of organ donation for Prasannajit commenced at the hospital, facilitated by the State Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organisation (SOTTO), Regional Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organisation (ROTTO), and National Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organisation (NOTTO).</p>

<p>A team of 20 doctors undertook a meticulous surgery,&nbsp; to retrieve two kidneys, two lungs, and a liver from Prasannajit's body for transplantation into other recipients.</p>

<h2><strong>What is Agni Prime?&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>The Agni P missile, developed by India's DRDO, is a two-stage ballistic missile that uses solid propellant and is stored in a canister.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It is equipped with a redundant navigation and guidance system.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Agni Prime missile is an advanced version that follows the Agni-I and Agni-II missiles which are currently in operational use by the Strategic Forces Command.</p>

<p>Agni P incorporates significant upgrades including an improved composite motor casing, a manoeuvrable reentry vehicle (MaRV), and enhanced propellants, navigation, and guidance systems.</p>

<p>With the inclusion of a MaRV, the Agni-P missile gains the ability to deliver warheads to two distinct targets.</p>

<p>While its range is not sufficient to cover all regions of mainland China, media outlets quoting experts suggest that the primary objective of the Agni-P is to counter the Armed Forces of Pakistan.</p>

<p>However, if strategically launched from a suitable location, it could also potentially target the western, central, and southern regions of China.</p>

<p>In its second flight test on 18 December 2021, the missile demonstrated reliable performance and the successful operation of advanced technologies integrated into the system.&nbsp;</p>

India: At least six killed after freak train accident in Odisha

<p>A woman faked the death of her husband in the deadly train crash in Odisha's Balasore, which claimed the lives of nearly 300 people, in order to gain cash compensation announced by the railways and the state government for the victims and the families of the ones who lost their lives in the incident, news agency PTI reported on Wednesday.</p>

<p>Gitanjali Datta of Maniabanda in Cuttack district had declared that her husband Bijay Datta had died in an accident on June 2. She had also identified a body as that of her spouse.&nbsp;</p>

<p>She got into trouble after the verification of the documents showed that the claims made by her were false.</p>

<p>As per the PTI reports, the police let her go with a warning but she went into hiding fearing arrest after her husband filed a complaint against her at the Maniabandha police station.</p>

<p>According to the police, the couple has been living separately for the last 13 years.</p>

<p>Bijay has demanded strict action against Gitanjali for making an attempt to grab public money and for also faking his death.</p>

<p>The Indian Railways Board has said that the horrific train accident in eastern Odisha state was due to an issue with the signal and that a passenger train, Coromandel Express, had gotten into the accident.</p>

<p>Hours after reaching the accident spot, the&nbsp;Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officially took over the probe to investigate the triple-train tragedy in the eastern Indian state of Odisha over the weekend.&nbsp;Since the accident claimed the lives of 278 people while&nbsp;injuring over 900, demands were being raised of a CBI query to ascertain if sabotage was at play or not.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On Monday, a 10-member team visited the&nbsp;Balasore train accident site and began&nbsp;collecting documents and statements. The investigative body is expected to look at all possible reasons behind the horrific crash which is been dubbed as the deadliest train accident of the millennium.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The agency’s investigators and experts from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) will be collaborating together to scrape the site of evidence.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The officials claimed that the system is both "error proof and tamper proof". Hence, more questions are being raised as to what could have put Coromandel Express on the loop line.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Questions are also being asked of the government if it had put standard safety mechanisms in place. India: CBI takes over Odisha triple-train crash probe; railways hint at sabotage

A three-train tragedy rocked India as the deadliest rail crash in over 20 years and people are still coming to terms with the accident. At least 275 people lost their lives and around 1200 were injured. At the latest, the government Railways police have registered a First Information Report or a FIR against unknown persons for causing death by negligence and endangering life. The FIR has been registered under various sanctions sections of the Indian Penal Code.

<p>Britain's King Charles III sent a message of condolence to India's President Droupadi Murmu, on Monday, expressing grief over the deadly Odisha train derailment that claimed the lives of at least 275 people and wounded 1,200 others.</p>

<p>In his condolence message, King Charles also recalled memories of his visit to the state of Odisha 43 years ago.</p>

<p>"Both my wife and I have been most profoundly shocked and saddened by the news of such a dreadful accident outside Balasore. I would like to express our deepest possible condolences to the families of all those who have so tragically lost their lives," Charles was quoted as saying in a statement issued by Buckingham Palace.</p>

<p>“I do hope you know what a special place India and the people of India have in our hearts. I have particularly fond memories of visiting Odisha in 1980 and meeting some of its people on that occasion,” the statement added.</p>

<p>"I pray, therefore, that you may be able to convey our most heartfelt prayers and sympathy to all those who have been affected by this appalling tragedy, together with our special thoughts for the people of Odisha," the King said.</p>

<p>Despite being trapped without food or water for two days, 35-year-old Dulal Mazumdar from Guwahati managed to survive. He, however, suffered severe injuries during the collision and was thrown into thick bushes next to an upturned coach of the Coromandel Express.&nbsp;</p>

<p>For two days, the rescue workers had rummaged around the wreckage of the three trains to find survivors. However,&nbsp;Mazumdar, seemingly stuck in an improbable spot was missed by all. It was only when the rescue operation was winding down and the focus turned to restoring services on the track that a small group of police personnel heard a feeble voice at around 5:30 pm on Sunday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“We were surprised how a man could be alive after 48 hours of a train accident such as this. We called for help and aided by some social workers, took him to the community centre at Soro. He was administered first aid there, and rushed to the Balasore district headquarters hospital,” a policeman who did not wish to be identified was quoted as saying by HT.&nbsp;</p>

Due to the seriousness of his head injuries, doctors at the local hospital transferred him to Balasore Hospital for specialised care.&nbsp;Mazumdar was travelling alongside five other people from the state. However, it is unclear if they had survived.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“He was in the general compartment of Coromandel Express when the accident happened. He was probably flung off and landed in the bush. It is a miracle that he has survived for two days,” added Dr Subhajit Giri of Balasore district headquarters hospital.</p>

<h2><strong>Electronic interlocking cause of the accident: Minister</strong></h2>

<p>Earlier in the day, minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the tragic train accident occurred because of a "change in electronic interlocking".</p>

<p>Electronic interlocking is a set up of signal apparatus that avoids conflicting movements between running trains by an arrangement of tracks. Basically, it is a safety measure that stops signals from getting changed in improper sequence.</p>

<p>"This is a different issue. It is about a point machine, electronic interlocking. The change that occurred during electronic interlocking, the accident happened due to that. Whoever did it and how it happened will be found out after proper investigation,” the minister stated.</p>

<p>He added that the officials are carrying out restoration work and normalcy is expected to be restored before Wednesday morning.</p>

<p>"The commissioner of railway safety has investigated the matter and it won't be right for me to comment on that. Let the investigation report come. But the cause of the accident has been identified and the people responsible for it have been identified. Right now our focus is on restoration. There are two main lines and two loop lines. The work is underway and we will definitely complete restoration well before our target of Wednesday morning," Vaishnaw stated.</p>
