After the updates to the portal were made, organisers issued a joint statement saying that the portal is not meant to be touched or stepped upon and announced measures to prevent such incidents, including triggering a blurring of the livestream if the camera lens is obstructed.

"If individuals step on the Portal and obstruct the camera, it will trigger a blurring of the livestream for everyone on both sides of the Atlantic. The team will continue making updates as needed to ensure that everyone can continue to enjoy the Portal," the organiser said.&nbsp;

The local media reported that the officers from the University police supported by city police then escorted the protesters out and secured the building.&nbsp;

The police said that they recovered “lock-picking tools and homemade metal shields fashioned from oil drums,” after clearing out the building.&nbsp;

Additionally, exit doors had been secured with zip ties and barbed wire and barricaded with metal chairs and desks, while windows were covered by newspaper and cardboard, and bike racks and metal chairs blocked entrances, said the police, according to AP.&nbsp;

He also noted that this fine may not be enough to serve as a deterrent for the former president, and lamented he did not have the authority to impose a higher penalty.

The judge has also ordered Trump to remove seven statements from his Truth Social account and two from his campaign website by 2:15 pm (local time).&nbsp;

Merchan said he would consider whether to impose additional fines at a hearing on Thursday (May 2). The former president has been fined $1,000 for each of nine online statements that the judge said violated the order.&nbsp;

Last month, the judge imposed a gag order on Trump on the prosecutors’ request to block him from speaking about the witnesses.&nbsp;

The order was later expanded to include his own family members and those of the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, a Democrat who brought the charges against the former president.&nbsp;
