The development comes a day after the NCB officials said they will be issuing summons to Bollywood actors Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and fashion designer Simone Kambhatta this week for questioning in connection with its probe.<br />

Besides Prakash and Dhruv, the NCB has also summoned Sushant`s former manager Shruti Modi and talent manager Jaya Saha for more questioning.<br />
<br />
The NCB has already arrested Sushant`s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, Sushant`s house manager Samuel Miranda, personal staff Dipesh Sawant and over 15 others in the case so far.<br />
<br />
Later in the day, the NCB will move the Special Court to seek a day`s custody for Showik and Sawant, to connect the dots with some new facts that have emerged in the case during the investigation.<br />
<br />
The NCB has registered a case on the request of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) after the alleged drug chats of Showik, Miranda and several others came to the fore.<br />
<br />
Meanwhile, Rhea and Showik has applied for a fresh bail on Tuesday which was rejected by the court. They will remain in judicial custody till October 6 now.<br />

Sushant was found hanging in his Bandra`s Mont Blanc apartment on June 14.</p>

NCB denies preparing 'Bollywood list' as Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh's names emerge in drug case

<p>The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday arrested two people who frequently smuggled drugs to Hong Kong concealed inside courier parcels.In a statement, the NCB said that on September 9, acting on a tip-off, they had seized 11.08 kilograms of Charas concealed inside a consignment which was being sent to Hong Kong through a courier service in Kolkata.</p>

<p>"NCB officers then conducted a follow-up investigation and identified the Consigner consignee and a drug supplier from Kolkata area," said the statement.</p>

<p>On September 10, the NCB apprehended two main suppliers of the seized drug from Dum Dum and Durga Nagar areas of Kolkata.</p>

<p>"Drug supplier named Ashim Ray, son of Shyama Pad Roy, and Kingpin Rajan Mishra, son of late Balkrisna Mishra were arrested. They send such parcels frequently to Hong Kong," said the statement.</p>

<p>The NCB further recovered approximately 100 gram of Charas along with 20 bottles of Codeine cough syrup and some other medicines from the possession of Mishra.</p>

<p>In follow-up investigation, a team of NCB further apprehended Biswanath Das, resident of Manikpara in Kolkata and seized 95 bottles of Wincirex, a codeine-based cough syrup, kept in his house without any documents related to the purchase or sale of it."</p>

<p>In his statement, he (Biswanath Das) admitted that he was doing all this for making extra money as his chemist shop was not functioning well," the statement added.</p>

It had said that Showik Chakraborty is an active member of a drug syndicate connected with drug supplies.While opposing the bail to Showik, NCB said that if released on bail he may tamper with the evidence and also will try to win the witness by using her (Rhea) position in the society and money power.<br />

"Accused Rhea Chakraborty has acknowledged their statements and her role explained. During the statement present accused Rhea Chakraborty revealed her involvement in the procurement of drug and financial transactions and also her instructions to Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant, and applicant Showik Chakraborty in this regard. Therefore it is clear from the statement that the applicant is an active member of a drug syndicate connected with drug supplies," the NCB had said in its response to the bail application of the accused.<br />
<br />
Rhea and Showik are likely to appeal to the Bombay High Court next week. They are both in judicial custody till September 22.<br />
<br />
Rhea`s bail application said no drugs or psychotropic substances have been seized from her and the allegations, if any, would pertain strictly to smaller quantities.<br />
<br />
It said there is nothing on record to suggest that she was in any way involved with the financing of illicit traffic and/or harbouring the offenders in relation to any drugs.</p>

<p>After three days of interrogation, the Narcotics Crime Bureau arrested Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty on charges of procuring and consumption of drugs.</p>

<p>Last week, Rhea's brother <a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/rhea-chakrabortys-brother-showik-and-sushants-house-manager-samuel-miranda-arrested-by-narcotics-bureau-325278">Showik Chakraborty and Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda </a>too were arrested for possession and selling of drugs.<br />

Rhea is one of the prime accused in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The Central Bureau of Investigation is still probing the case.<br />
<br />
According to reports, Rhea will be taken for a medical test later today and will be produced in front of the court on Thursday.</p>

<p>The NCB recovered 930 gram of pure South American cocaine in the 106 capsules upon her arrival from Sao Paulo in Brazil on May 14. The woman was immediately rushed to Safdarjung hospital after an x-ray confirmed that she had filled her body with cocaine capsules.</p>

<p>She remained under medical supervision from May 14 till May 20. After recovery of the cocaine, the NCB team arrested her on May 20 and produced before the concerned Court.</p>

<p>She was placed under arrest under sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and remanded to judicial custody by a court.</p>

<p>The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on black money has asked probe agencies to check and curb the use of cryptocurrencies as it reviewed their operation and circulation in the country and links to shady offshore transactions.</p>

<p>Officials said the SIT recently held a meeting in the national capital during which it was briefed about the overall scenario of the operations of this virtual currency in the country.</p>

<p>The SIT, official sources said, called cryptocurrencies like bitcoins "illegal" and asked probe agencies such as the Income Tax Department, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to detect and stop their usage and check transactions being done over the Internet, including those with cross-border ramifications.</p>

<p>The panel, they said, would also prepare a report that would be submitted to the government in some time.</p>

<p>"The government is the final authority to frame rules and law to regulate these virtual currencies and the SIT would provide its report to it on the subject," a senior official said.</p>

<p>During the meeting, the NCB informed the SIT that about four cryptocurrency-fuelled drugs smuggling transactions have been unearthed in the country in the last over two years time while the tax department informed the panel about the searches it conducted on bitcoin exchanges across the country last year.</p>

<p>A report prepared by the banking regulator --the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) -- was also taken up during the meeting, they said.</p>

<p>Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, in his speech on February 1, had said that cryptocurrencies were not legal and affirmed to eliminate their usage.</p>

<p>The RBI, in the past, has come out with three specific warnings to discourage the public from investing in the virtual currencies.</p>

<p>A government-appointed panel constituted to study the subject and suggest measures to tackle it had submitted its report to the Union Finance Ministry early this year.</p>

<p>The Supreme Court-appointed SIT on black money was notified by the government in 2014 and is headed by Justice (retd) M B Shah and has multiple central probe, enforcement and regulatory agencies as its member.</p>
