<p>Every starry-eyed ingenue arriving in Los Angeles faces the same question: how to catch that big break in Hollywood? For Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, it's far more complicated.<br />

The pair, who formally <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/meghan-markle-prince-harry-thank-fans-for-support-in-last-instagram-post-from-official-account-289704">stepped down as senior members</a> of the British royal family this week, have reportedly already relocated to sunny California.<br />
<br />
They are currently rumored to be hunkering down at a compound in Malibu, the exclusive beach community outside Los Angeles long favored by A-listers and movie moguls.<br />
<br />
But how the couple will achieve their ambition of forging a new, "financially independent" life remains to be seen.<br />
Meghan's options would appear to be more straightforward.<br />
<br />
It is a homecoming of sorts -- she grew up in Los Angeles, her mother still lives here, and she has extensive contacts from her days as an actress.<br />
<br />
"I think Meghan will continue to work in the entertainment world one way or another," said celebrity branding expert Jeetendr Sehdev.<br />
<br />
"It's their unique selling point -- Meghan, at the end of the day, has come from the entertainment industry. They don't want to be denying that DNA."<br />
<br />
While Sehdev thinks it is "unlikely" she will go back into acting, Meghan "might present documentaries, she might do more voiceover work."<br />

Before she left Britain, <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/hollywood-news-meghan-markle-makes-hollywood-comeback-with-disneys-elephant-288858">Meghan had already narrated a wildlife documentary for Disney</a> -- a company that her royal background could make her uniquely suited to.<br />

"Even though they're no longer part of the royal family, people will still put that brand on her -- she's ideal for alignment with things like Disney."<br />

But if she were to act again, Meghan will likely be wary of "stunt casting" and need to be selective in picking more substantive roles, Thompson added.<br />

"The royal family brand was programmed to be opaque. It's so controlled, so contrived and so manufactured that we don't really know who these people are."<br />

Speaking engagements, book deals and interviews -- including on Hollywood's famous red carpets -- could be options to redress that, said Sehdev.<br />

"He's going to have to do a complete 180 and actually take a leaf out of the book of Kim Kardashian, those reality show influencers, and say I'm gonna actually open up my life. Let you in and show who I really am."<br />
<br />
The pair could also emulate the Obamas by forming a production company, suggested Thompson -- a move that would allow both to highlight causes important to them such as veteran care, mental health and the environment.<br />
<br />
<strong>- 'Life of celebrities' -</strong><br />
<br />
Another decision facing the couple is where to live.<br />
<br />
With Meghan's mother based in the city, gated communities and private streets in affluent neighborhoods such as Brentwood or Beverly Hills could appeal.<br />
<br />
"I don't think we're going to see them out and around in the heart of Hollywood, living right in the thick of it," said Thompson.<br />
<br />
"That would be just a logistical nightmare for them," he added, pointing to the security requirements and the couple's young son Archie.<br />

President Donald Trump has insisted US taxpayers will not pay their security bill -- prompting a rare response from the couple's spokeswoman, who said they had "no plans to ask the US government for security resources."<br />

"The fact that she was a princess -- people do like that idea," said Los Angeles-based producer and journalist Simon Thompson. "Even though they're no longer part of the royal family, people will still put that brand on her -- she's ideal for alignment with things like Disney." Other entertainment giants including Netflix have already voiced interest in working with her. But if she were to act again, Meghan will likely be wary of "stunt casting" and need to be selective in picking more substantive roles, Thompson added. "I think she'll get some big offers," he said. "The royal family brand was programmed to be opaque. It's so controlled, so contrived and so manufactured that we don't really know who these people are." "He's going to have to do a complete 180 and actually take a leaf out of the book of Kim Kardashian, those reality show influencers, and say I'm gonna actually open up my life. The pair could also emulate the Obamas by forming a production company, suggested Thompson -- a move that would allow both to highlight causes important to them such as veteran care, mental health and the environment. - 'Life of celebrities' - Another decision facing the couple is where to live. <p>The United States will begin screening efforts at three US&nbsp;airports to detect travellers from the central Chinese city of <a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/china-reports-new-cases-in-wuhan-virus-outbreak-275016">Wuhan</a> who may have symptoms of a new respiratory virus that so far has killed two people and infected 45 more, public health officials said on Friday.</p>

<p>So far, the new virus has spread outside of China to Japan and Thailand, and CDC officials said in a conference call with reporters that they expect more cases will be reported outside of China. The risk to Americans is deemed to be low, the CDC said.</p>

<p>Ghost guns "are sold as a kit, and you can legally buy it, assemble the weapon yourself and you have a gun that is not registered and no one knows that you have it, it's very dangerous," Villanueva told ABC7.</p>

<p>The sheriff added in a statement that it was unclear who assembled the .45-caliber pistol used by Berhow last Thursday during his rampage at Saugus High School, a short commute from <a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/california-firefighters-tackle-blazes-in-suburbs-of-los-angeles-258238">Los Angeles</a>.</p>

<p>Two fellow students were killed and several others were injured before Berhow, who had turned 16 that day, shot himself in the head. He died a day later.</p>

<p>Authorities are still trying to piece together what prompted the shooting, especially as Berhow had no history of troubling behaviour.</p>

<p>Villanueva said Berhow's father had six registered guns that were lawfully removed from the home and subsequently destroyed. A later search turned up the "kit gun."</p>

<p>The sheriff said investigators are looking at Berhow's electronic communication in the hope it will shed light on his motive.</p>

<p>Although the cause of the apparent engine failure was not immediately clear, it comes as Boeing faces intense scrutiny over twin deadly crashes involving its 737 MAX single-aisle jetliner. The 737 MAX has been grounded worldwide since March.</p>

<p>GE Aviation, a subsidiary of General Electric, which makes the GE90 engine for the 777 twin-aisle jetliners, said it was aware of the incident and was "working with the airline to determine the cause of the event and to promptly return the aircraft to service."</p>

<p>Boeing did not immediately respond to requests for comment.</p>

<p>"You saw bursts of flames, little flames shooting out from the engine," said Andrew Ames, a 36-year-old fitness professional in Los Angeles, who watched as the 777 ascended over the ocean after takeoff. "It almost looked like backfire flames from a motorcycle or car."</p>

<p>"I had never seen a plane spew flames repeatedly. Then it stopped. As soon as it stopped, I saw the plane bank left, like it was heading back to the airport," Ames said.</p>

"Grateful and blessed," she wrote alongside photos of her fiance Jared Black, who was also involved in the accident, recovering in the hospital. "September 1, 2019, was the scariest day of my life. Broxterman went on to add, "God was definitely watching over us that night and protecting us. Thank you, Lord, for wrapping your loving arms around us in our time of need," she wrote on Instagram.<br />

She added what she wrote just weeks after the accident. "First of all, I want you all to know that ultimately, all 3 of us in the car wreck are alive and recovering and that's what matters the most! It is going to be a long road to recovery but we have the best support team," she wrote with the date September 17, 2019.</p>

<p>Just 16 seconds passed from the time a California high school student pulled a .45 semi-automatic pistol from his backpack in an outdoor school courtyard and emptied the weapon, killing two classmates and wounding three more, before shooting himself in the head and collapsing.</p>

<p>Police investigating the Thursday morning shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, about 40 miles (65 km) north of Los Angeles, said they did not yet know the motive.</p>

<p>A next-door neighbour, registered nurse Jared Axen, said the suspect had seemed introverted and sad, possibly despondent over the loss of his father from a heart attack in December 2017.</p>

<p>"I would say he (the boy) was hurting and couldn’t ask for help," Axen said of the suspect, who was a track athlete at the school, involved in Boy Scouts and liked the outdoors, going on hunting trips with his father.</p>

<p>There was no immediate word on where the suspect obtained the weapon.</p>
