Jaishankar's first destination will be Kyrgyzstan, where he will hold talks with his counterpart apart from calling on the President of the nation, the MEA said. &nbsp;

"This will be his first visit to the country as the external affairs minister," the MEA said. Some agreements are also expected to be signed during the visit. &nbsp;

On October 11 and 12, Jaishankar will be in Kazakhstan to attend the 6th Ministerial meeting of the Conference of Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Nur-Sultan. Kazakhstan is the current chair of the grouping. &nbsp;

By Thursday evening a&nbsp;ceasefire&nbsp;deal had been drawn up, but&nbsp;Kyrgyzstan&nbsp;acknowledged that both sides had continued shooting on Friday and Saturday, before the national security chiefs met to reinforce the&nbsp;ceasefire&nbsp;on Saturday afternoon.

Since then "no incidents of shooting have been registered," a spokesman for&nbsp;Kyrgyzstan's national security committee told AFP by telephone at 1100 GMT, describing the border as "quiet, peaceful, calm".

The two national security chiefs also agreed a border protocol early on Sunday,&nbsp;Kyrgyzstan's main government website reported, offering few details on the agreement.

There was no immediate indication that progress had been made delimiting disputed sections which account for more than a third of the 971-kilometre (604 mile) border between the countries.

Kyrgyzstan&nbsp;on Sunday also accused&nbsp;Tajikistan&nbsp;of mistreating 10 citizens it said were taken hostage during the conflict before being released on Saturday evening.

The people, including the head of one of the border villages, were left bruised&nbsp;after&nbsp;being "beaten with sticks" during their abduction,&nbsp;Kyrgyzstan's health minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev&nbsp;said.&nbsp;

The Envoy of Kyrgyz Republic to India, Asein Isaev, who was part of the foreign envoy's visit last week has lauded the "hard-working" administration for the District Development Council (DDC) elections in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.&nbsp;

Speaking to WION, Asein said, "This visit has shown that government has no any hidden agenda for the region of J&amp;K. One of the best results of the hard work of administration is DDC election, which was not able ever before. Two envoys from central Asia were present in the visit, the envoy of the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan's envoy. The batch had 24 envoys with the biggest group from Europe. This is the third such visit of foreign envoys to the union territory in the last one year, but the first one this year. Kyrgyz Prime Minister Sadyr Japarov said on Thursday he would step down as acting president of the Central Asian nation in the coming days in order to run in the January 10 presidential election.

Parliamentary speaker Talant Mamytov, a close ally of the prime minister, will take over as acting head of state in line with the constitution, Japarov told a news briefing.

The former Soviet republic, known for its political volatility, is closely allied with Moscow and hosts a Russian military airbase. Its constitution bars caretaker leaders from running in the presidential elections that they oversee.

WION: If you can describe what has happened in your country...

Asein Isaev: It was result of unfair parliamentary elections. Specific of this election, 16 parties were contesting. And when result of elections were announced, only three parties won, and the other 13 parties could not be in the parliament. By opinion of people, it was unfair. Three parties do not represent the interest of all people. People gathered at the main square and demanded to eliminate the result. It was provocation -- some groups started to damage buildings and cafes and restaurants. Police force was called in to forge law and order, but to no avail. People called for new elections. It was unexpected and no one expected this result. And as a result, the prime minister and the minister of home affairs had to resign.

WION: Will new elections take place?

Asein Isaev: The new leader came from jail -- he was a political prisoner. His name is Sadyr Japarov -- he is now the prime minister and the current president. He was in jail for 11 years. People demanded he must be elected as the PM. When our president resigned, according to constitution, obligation of his duties were put on current PM. He announced everything must be done by constitution and by law. According to constitution, new elections will be done. The new government is working on it.

WION: Any foreign influence in what has happened in your country ?&nbsp;

Asein Isaev: Everything happened very quickly, and nobody had expected it. There was, however, no foreign influence. Not even from China. China has said it respects our sovereignty and never will be involved in our internal affairs. We respect each other. There's no evidence to show China was involved in our internal affairs.

WION: On ties with India, any engagement by new administration?

Asein Isaev: Our new prime minister announced he would continue agreements with our foreign partners. He will continue democracy, and India is our natural ally. We are proud that last year we were able to sign an important agreement with India.

WION: The SCO virtual meet will take place on Nov 30. You are part of SCO. Have you received the SCO Council of Heads of Government invitation?

Asein Isaev: Yes, we have recieved a formal invitation and our head of state will participate in it.

Kyrgyzstan`s parliament voted on Friday to end a state of emergency imposed by its ousted president, as interim Prime Minister Sadyr Japarov, a Kyrgyz nationalist, took temporary control of the presidency of one of Russia`s close allies.

Former President Sooronbai Jeenbekov, who resigned on Thursday, ordered troops to be deployed in Bishkek last week after days of unrest triggered by an Oct. 4 parliamentary election in which his allies were accused of vote-buying.

Japarov, freed from prison by his supporters and quickly elected prime minister by parliament, also took over the interim presidency after parliament speaker Kanatbek Isayev - constitutionally first in line - turned it down on Friday.

The prime minister is second in line under the constitution, but Japarov`s assumption of both roles prompted concern.

"This is an unprecedented case in Kyrgyzstan`s history," parliament deputy Omurbek Tekebayev said. "Such tremendous powers in the hands of one man."

Jasparov has said Russia would remain a key strategic partner of Kyrgyzstan, a former Soviet republic in Central Asia with significant ethnic Russian and Uzbek minorities, and he had no plans to review the terms of Russia`s Kyrgyz air base.

His foreign minister Ruslan Kazakbayev also told the Chinese ambassador to Bishkek on Friday that the cabinet would stick to all existing agreements with Beijing, its giant neighbour, major trade partner and investor.

ELECTION RE-RUN

Japarov told parliament he would address the nation of 6.5 million within hours. However, some four hours later it remained unclear when and where he planned to do that and his office could not be reached for comment.

In a brief speech in parliament, he proposed lowering the threshold for political parties to win seats from the current 7% in a re-run of the parliamentary election, which must take place later this year.

As interim president, Japarov cannot run in the presidential election, which he must oversee no later than mid-January.

Tekebayev urged Japarov to make sure people close to him do not run for president either, singling out Kamchybek Tashiyev, the leader of the nationalist Ata Zhurt party, who spearheaded the efforts to free Japarov from prison and install him as PM.

Later on Friday, Japarov named Tashiyev head of the State National Security Committee and reshuffled a few other senior officials at the main state security body.

Japarov, a former presidential adviser and member of parliament, had been in prison since 2017 on charges of kidnapping over a 2013 event in which protesters briefly held a provincial governor hostage.

The new prime minister, Sadyr Japarov, was elected during an extraordinary meeting in a hotel after protesters seized the parliament building, the parliamentary press service said.&nbsp;

Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that&nbsp;the&nbsp;Kremlin was "certainly concerned" over the unrest.

Russian military authorities said they had beefed up security at their base&nbsp;outside the capital.

The United States meanwhile called on all sides to "refrain from violence and resolve the election dispute through peaceful means".

Attempt to seize power

Bishkek was calmer on Tuesday, although the president's office remained under the control of protesters and there were some reports of crowds roaming the streets targeting businesses and other organisations.&nbsp;

Jeenbekov's office said the president had remained in the capital, despite not making any public appearances.&nbsp;

But reports indicated that unrest was spreading beyond the capital with several gold and coal mines -- critical to the threadbare state budget -- seized or damaged by marauders.
