Kamala Harris goes full Trump, challenges 78-year-old Republican to reveal his health report

<p>The Kremlin said on Saturday that Democratic Party presidential candidate Kamala Harris's description of Russian President Vladimir Putin as a "murderous dictator" exposed how politicians in Washington sought to impose their views on the world.</p>

<p>Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov's comment was the latest jab in exchanges revolving around the US presidential election and the Kremlin's more than 2 1/2-year-old war in Ukraine.</p>

<p>"The lofty political establishment of the United States of America, to all appearances, is infused with such a political culture," Russian news agencies quoted Peskov as telling a television interviewer.</p>

<p>"This is probably the quintessence of the very model of international relations that they are trying to foist on the entire world, a model that most in the world are beginning to like less and less."</p>

<p>Peskov's comments appeared to be in response to Harris'&nbsp;criticism of a report in a newly released book by US&nbsp;journalist Bob Woodward that Republican candidate and former president Donald Trump, while in office, had sent COVID tests to Russia at the height of the pandemic. In a radio interview, she described Putin as a "murderous dictator".</p>

<p>With relations between Russia and the United States plunging to depths not seen since the 1962 Cuban missile crisis, each side has told the other to stop discussing domestic issues.</p>

<p>The United States told Putin to stop commenting on the US election back in February and then again last month when the Kremlin leader suggested he favoured Harris over Trump in the forthcoming poll because of her "infectious laugh".</p>

The Kremlin said on Saturday that Democratic Party presidential candidate Kamala Harris's description of Russian President Vladimir Putin as a "murderous dictator" exposed how politicians in Washington sought to impose their views on the world. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov's comment was the latest jab in exchanges revolving around the US presidential election and the Kremlin's more than 2 1/2-year-old war in Ukraine. "The lofty political establishment of the United States of America, to all appearances, is infused with such a political culture," Russian news agencies quoted Peskov as telling a television interviewer. "This is probably the quintessence of the very model of international relations that they are trying to foist on the entire world, a model that most in the world are beginning to like less and less." In a radio interview, she described Putin as a "murderous dictator". With relations between Russia and the United States plunging to depths not seen since the 1962 Cuban missile crisis, each side has told the other to stop discussing domestic issues. The United States told Putin to stop commenting on the US election back in February and then again last month when the Kremlin leader suggested he favoured Harris over Trump in the forthcoming poll because of her "infectious laugh". <h2><strong>Harris and Trump tied in&nbsp;battleground states: WSJ</strong></h2>

<p>According to the WSJ opinion poll,&nbsp;the incumbent vice president has a marginal two-percentage-point&nbsp;lead in Arizona, Georgia and Michigan. However, Trump&nbsp;is reportedly up by six&nbsp;points in Nevada and leading in&nbsp;Pennsylvania by just one point.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Trump has a narrow advantage in <strong>Georgia</strong>, <strong>North Carolina</strong>, and <strong>Pennsylvania</strong>, leading Harris 49 per cent&nbsp;to 48 per cent.</p>

<p>Trump recently returned to Butler, Pennsylvania, alongside X owner Elon Musk, while former President Barack Obama has joined Harris'&nbsp;campaign trail to attract voters.</p>

<p><strong>Michigan</strong> and <strong>Wisconsin</strong> see both candidates locked at 49 per cent.</p>

<p>Harris is narrowly ahead in <strong>Nevada</strong>, where she holds 48 per cent support to Trump’s 47 per cent.</p>

Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, an Afghan man who was arrested for plotting an Islamic State-inspired terror attack targeting US presidential election, had once worked with CIA, multiple American media outlets reported. According to the reports, it is not clear if the 27-year old was radicalised before or after he came to the US after the American troop withdrawal from Afghanistan as Taliban took over the reins at the end of a bloody war of over 20 years. US Elections: Afghan Man Arrested For Plotting US Election Day Attack × Tawhedi reportedly worked as a security guard for the Central Intelligence Agency, and arrived in the US in September 2021. The conspirators sold their home and belongings and bought firearms to carry out the attack, including two AK-47 rifles which they got just before their arrest, said the documents unsealed on Tuesday (Oct 8). Trump rules out another parley with Harris, says 'nothing to debate': 'There will be no rematch!'

With a month remaining to the seminal race for the United States's Presidency. States across the Nation are gearing up not only for a battle to the White House but also the Senate. While some states are suspected to well swing there remain holdouts across ideological strongholds -- blue holdouts in red strongholds, red holdouts in blue ones -- one such Garrison is the city of Omaha in the state of Nebraska. Watch in for more details!

US Elections 2024: Will Nebraska's Most Populous City, Omaha Swing the State?

<p>Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has erased Republican rival Donald Trump's advantage in the vast middle of American society: suburban residents and middle-income households, an analysis of Reuters/Ipsos polling shows.</p>

<p>Since President Joe Biden ended his flagging re-election bid on July 21, Vice President Harris has pulled into the lead in both of these large demographic groups, reinvigorating Democrats' prospects in the Nov. 5 election, though the race remains exceptionally close.</p>

<p>Suburbanites, who make up about half of the U.S. electorate and are as racially diverse as the nation at large, are a key prize. Biden beat Trump in suburban counties by about six percentage points in the 2020 presidential election.</p>

<p>Before Biden dropped out, Trump was leading him 43% to 40% among suburbanites in Reuters/Ipsos polls conducted in June and July, reflecting the Democrat's struggle to energize supporters.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Harris began closing the gap when she launched her campaign in July and led Trump 47% to 41% among suburban voters in polling across September and October. That represents a nine-point swing in the Democrat's favour, according to the analysis of six Reuters/Ipsos polls that included responses from over 6,000 registered voters.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During the same periods, Trump went from leading Biden 44% to 37% among voters in households that earn between $50,000 and $100,000 - roughly the middle third of the nation - to trail Harris 43% to 45%, also a nine-point swing away from Trump. The figures had margins of error of around 3 percentage points.</p>

<p>Trump carried this group 52%-47% in 2020, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of exit polls.</p>

<p>Reuters/Ipsos surveys have shown voters consider the economy the No. 1 issue ahead of the election and in a poll conducted in October, 46% of voters said Trump was the better candidate for the economy, 8 points more than Harris' 38%.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The polls have also shown Trump as the more trusted candidate on immigration and crime. Trump told supporters in August he was the candidate that would keep suburbs safe and ensure that migrants coming across the border illegally are kept "away from the suburbs."</p>

<p>Trump has blamed the Biden administration for inflation that has hurt middle class Americans. Harris, meanwhile, has put considerable focus in her speeches on pledges to increase the size of the middle class. She also is more often picked in polls as the better candidate for protecting democracy and taking a stand against political extremism.</p>

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has erased Republican rival Donald Trump's advantage in the vast middle of American society: suburban residents and middle-income households, an analysis of Reuters/Ipsos polling shows. Since President Joe Biden ended his flagging re-election bid on July 21, Vice President Harris has pulled into the lead in both of these large demographic groups, reinvigorating Democrats' prospects in the Nov. 5 election, though the race remains exceptionally close. Suburbanites, who make up about half of the U.S. electorate and are as racially diverse as the nation at large, are a key prize. Biden beat Trump in suburban counties by about six percentage points in the 2020 presidential election. Before Biden dropped out, Trump was leading him 43% to 40% among suburbanites in Reuters/Ipsos polls conducted in June and July, reflecting the Democrat's struggle to energize supporters. Harris began closing the gap when she launched her campaign in July and led Trump 47% to 41% among suburban voters in polling across September and October. That represents a nine-point swing in the Democrat's favour, according to the analysis of six Reuters/Ipsos polls that included responses from over 6,000 registered voters. The figures had margins of error of around 3 percentage points. Trump carried this group 52%-47% in 2020, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of exit polls. Reuters/Ipsos surveys have shown voters consider the economy the No. 1 issue ahead of the election and in a poll conducted in October, 46% of voters said Trump was the better candidate for the economy, 8 points more than Harris' 38%. The polls have also shown Trump as the more trusted candidate on immigration and crime. Trump told supporters in August he was the candidate that would keep suburbs safe and ensure that migrants coming across the border illegally are kept "away from the suburbs." Trump has blamed the Biden administration for inflation that has hurt middle class Americans. Harris, meanwhile, has put considerable focus in her speeches on pledges to increase the size of the middle class. She also is more often picked in polls as the better candidate for protecting democracy and taking a stand against political extremism. Kamala Harris, US Vice President and Democratic Party presidential nominee, is in hot water after trying and failing to be discreet on a live broadcast. On Wednesday, during a briefing on Hurricane Milton, Vice President Kamala Harris was caught on a hot mic, reminding someone off-camera that the session was being broadcast live. Netizens were quick to slam her for allegedly taking help from someone off camera, with many bringing up her supposedly microphone fitted earrings. What happened? Harris was participating in the briefing remotely while National Weather Service Director Ken Graham was discussing the potential flooding risks from the hurricane when she had her awkward moment. Appearing to have got distracted by something or someone behind the camera, Harris tried to be discreet, raising her hands to partially cover her face and muttered, "It's a live broadcast," into the mic. Shortly after, Graham concluded his update, but Harris quickly followed up with a question, seemingly showing she was still engaged with the content. She queried Graham about the language used to describe the storm. "Hey Ken, I have a question for you," she chimed in.
