It is expected to be tested on the Russian Orbital Station (ROS). The platform will also support future lunar exploration programmes.&nbsp;The development of the system was reportedly confirmed during a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov. Manturov described the platform as a patented solution by the Russian Federation.&nbsp;<h2>Testing at Russian Orbital Station</h2>&nbsp;The ROS is presently being developed. The first segment of the orbital station is the Scientific and Power Module (SPM) and it is scheduled for launch by the end of 2027. The station would be placed in a near-polar orbit. It is expected that, by 2030, Russia will transition to its own modular orbital station, thus phasing out reliance on the International Space Station (ISS), which is expected to be decommissioned around the same period.&nbsp;Additional modules, which includes the universal-node, gateway, and base modules are set for launch by 2030. These components, along with the SPM, will make the core structure of the station. The photos show Williams observing the making of a pizza. Dr Vinay Gupta, a pulmonologist and veteran in Seattle, told Daily Mail that the picture raises concerns about the astronaut's&nbsp;health.&nbsp;

He said it looks like she is "experiencing the natural stresses of living at a very high altitude, even in a pressurized cabin, for extended periods."

In June, the crack was moved to NASA's highest level of concern in its "risk matrix," Ars Technica reported.

NASA and Russian space agency, Roscosmos, are working together to figure out the issue.

"And NASA and Roscosmos are collaborating to investigate and mitigate the cracks and leaks, determine the root cause, and monitor the Station for new leaks."

If the engineers are unable to identify the problem and fix it, NASA and Roscosmos might have to permanently close the hatch to the affected tunnel. This would cut off access to one of the station's four docking ports.

However, this might be a point of clash between NASA and Roscosmos as they do not have "agreement on the point at which the leak rate is untenable."

International Space Station has shared a set of stunning photos and videos showing how Auroras on Earth lit up the surface of the Moon in a riot of colours.

The photos and videos were shared by NASA astronaut Matthew Dominick.

"The aurora have been amazing the past few days. Great timing for trying out a new lens," Dominick said in a post on X.&nbsp;

His photos showed the Moon's surface lit up in stunning shades of red and green with the Soyuz Spacecraft in the foreground.

"Spent a good part of the weekend with a 15mm, T1.8 lens. Made a whole bunch of timelapses. Still looking though 1000s of frames, lots of which have aurora but the milky way in this one stood out," he said.

International Space Station has shared a set of stunning photos and videos showing how Auroras on Earth lit up the surface of the Moon in a riot of colours. The photos and videos were shared by NASA astronaut Matthew Dominick. "The aurora have been amazing the past few days. Great timing for trying out a new lens," Dominick said in a post on X. His photos showed the Moon's surface lit up in stunning shades of red and green with the Soyuz Spacecraft in the foreground. Auroras are a space phonomenon that happen when charged particles from the Sun interact with gas molecules in Earth's atmosphere and emit light. NASA astronauts Barry 'Butch' Wilmore and Sunita Williams - whose stay seems to be extended far beyond what was actually planned - seem to be facing 'life-altering' risks while remaining stranded on the International Space Station&nbsp;(ISS) till 2025, as per the experts.&nbsp;

Boeing's faulty Starliner carried the astronauts to the ISS in June for a trip which was to last for just days but the technical glitch in the aircraft has now created a situation in which these astronauts are not likely to come home until next year.

<h2>Here's how space sojourn is deteriorating the health of astronauts</h2>

According to the studies, if the astronauts remain in space for a long time it can lead to bone density loss, vision problems, intense radiation exposure, muscle atrophy and other health issues.

Speaking to DailyMail.com, an expert said, "The longer you're [in space], the bigger the change." The experts further said that there are high chance the bodies of the two astronauts will start deteriorating.&nbsp;

"Generally, almost all of the changes that we see with human spaceflight in terms of physiology seem to be dose-dependent," said Rachael Seidler, a professor of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of&nbsp;Florida, while speaking to DailyMail.com.

"The longer you're there, the bigger the change - at least up to a point," Seidler added.

There is 90 per cent gravity in comparison to the gravity on Earth. "Astronauts experience accelerated bone loss at an alarming rate - about 12 times faster than severe osteoporosis on Earth," said Kyle Zagrodzky, founder and CEO of Bone Health Clinic, while speaking to Newsweek.

"Osteoporosis increases fracture risk, often leading to life-altering injuries. Hip fractures pose a grave concern, as they can strip away independence and increase mortality risk," he added.

The astronauts lose around 50 per cent of their muscle mass and change the shape of their hearts as well as the way they function.&nbsp;

The astronauts stand a chance of suffering from loss of muscle, bone, and cardio capacity, vision and cognition problems, and also kidney stones.

The astronauts also get exposed to a year's worth of radiation every day in space which increases the chances of cancer later in life. These risks make it impertinent for the astronauts to return back to Earth as soon as possible.
