<p>India's National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval took what is widely seen as pot shots at China and Pakistan while addressing NSAs and top officials of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member countries on Wednesday in Indian capital city of New Delhi. Doval touched upon terrorism and sovereignty as the key parts of his opening remarks, apparently hinting at the two countries that have strained relations with India.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As the present chair of the grouping, Doval's statement set the tone for the meeting as Pakistan and China attended the event virtually, according to multiple media reports</p>

<p>“Terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and its financing are amongst the most serious threats to international peace and security. Any act of terrorism, regardless of its motivation, is unjustifiable," said Doval, in what is seen by observers as a veiled reference to Pakistan.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“The Charter calls upon member states to have mutual respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity of states, non use of force or threat of its use in international relations, and seeking no unilateral military superiority in areas," added Doval.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He continued the subtle attacks by taking a dig at China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which passes through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The 78-year-old added that India was willing to participate in regional projects, but only if there was transparency.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“While expanding connectivity, it is important to ensure that such initiatives are consultative, transparent and participatory, and respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries.”</p>

<p>After the meeting of NSAs, New Delhi is expected to hold a meeting of the SCO defence ministers next month from April 27-29. The foreign ministers' meet is scheduled to be held in the western Indian state of Goa from May 4-5. All of these meetings will culminate with the SCO Summit, set to be held in July.&nbsp;</p>

<p>SCO was founded over 20 years ago to promote economic, political, and military cooperation among its member countries. The organisation's members include Russia, India, China, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.</p>

<p>SCO covers over 60 per cent of the Eurasian landmass, 40 per cent of the world population, and 30 per cent of the global GDP.</p>

The project involves a street art mural on the outer wall of the Harcourt Butler School in Delhi's Mandir Marg area, showcasing common words in both languages. The colourful mural depicts traditional Lithuanian style and patterns, and it is set to become a popular attraction for passersby.</p>

<p>Diana Mickeviciene, ambassador of Lithuania, highlighted the link between Sanskrit and Lithuanian and how this bonds the two countries together.</p>

<p>"Lithuanian language is officially recognised as the closest living sister language of Sanskrit and we are very keen to research this particular connection. We have been keen to bring this message of friendship and historical connection. We are looking forward to more present and modern connection," Mickeviciene&nbsp;told WION.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Elaborating in Hindi she pointed out,&nbsp;<em>"hamarey desh ki dosti ka nishan bharat key liye</em>&nbsp;(This is a symbol of friendship between India and Lithuania)."</p>

He symbolically painted the final keywords of the mural, "<em>Deva</em>" and "<em>Agni</em>," which have a profound meaning for both nations and represent the linguistic and cultural connection between the people of Lithuania and India.</p>

<p>"Really amazing, India is a very good country and planning to come here again. I am very glad to be here and show language similarities,"&nbsp;said Kaziulionis.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A 'steel cutting' ceremony was performed on Monday at the CSL, commencing the construction of HS Eco freighter 7,000 DWT Multi-Purpose Vessels for the Germans. It has&nbsp;received orders to build a total of eight vessels.</p>

<p>Steel&nbsp;cutting is the first tangible step of the shipbuilding process, where the shipbuilder and customer press the start button of a laser cutter that cuts that steel sheet that ends up on the vessel's hull.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This marks the foray of India's CSL into the European shortsea shipping market, where these vessels are an integral part of the logistics network from North Sea ports to the south Mediterranean ports.</p>

<p>Sharing the specifications of the vessel, CSL said that the Ice Class Vessels measure 110 metres in length, 16.5 metres in breadth, and are equipped for the carriage of project cargo, heavy cargo, steel coils, containers, dry cargo, timber, paper and bulk cargoes etc., worldwide service trade, with a carrying capacity of 7,000 tons.</p>

<p>The vessels will be built under DNV Classification with flag of Portugal, meeting all the latest safety, quality, energy efficiency and performance requirements.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The steel cutting ceremony was attended by Heino Schepers and Hans-Bernd Schepers, Managing Directors of HS Schiffahrts Group, along with Madhu S Nair, CMD of CSL, along with other senior officials.</p>

<p>The CSL said that this foreign order is a testament to its expertise and capabilities in building high-quality vessels for clients worldwide.</p>

<p>For over twenty years, India' CSL has been involved in shipbuilding on an international level and has delivered vessels to Norway, USA, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, and the Middle East.</p>
