<p>Reacting to Canada's accusations against India, former Pentagon official and a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, Michael Rubin, stated that Canada lacks sufficient evidence to support its claims.</p>

<p>He suggested that Trudeau might have made hasty allegations without substantial proof and urged him to clarify why his government was providing shelter to a "terrorist with a criminal record." Rubin went on to say that most probably Justin Trudeau won't be there for long in premiership, and the US can get rebuild its relationship with Canada after he's gone.</p>

<p>"Prime Minister Trudeau I think has made a huge mistake. He has made allegations in a manner which he hasn't been able to back. Either he was shooting from the hip and he doesn't have the evidence to support the accusations he made against the government. There is something there, in which case he needs to explain why this government was sheltering a terrorist," the former Pentagon official said.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the leader of the Canadian Opposition, Pierre Poilievre, expressed concerns about an increase in hate crimes against Hindus in Canada. He highlighted recent incidents of hateful comments and emphasised that every Canadian should be able to live without fear and feel welcomed in their community.</p>

<p>“We need to have the evidence that drew that allowed the prime minister to come to the conclusions he made,” he said.</p>

<p>“I would have to have more evidence to make a judgment on that. I do find it interesting that he knew about vast foreign interference by Beijing for many years, at the same time as Beijing had kept two Canadian citizens hostage. And he said nothing. And he did nothing. Just very interesting that that was the approach he took in that case,” Poilievre&nbsp;added.</p>

A glaring example of the systemic violence against minorities in Pakistan was the large-scale brutality perpetrated against the minority Christian community in Jaranwala, in Pakistan's Faisalabad District in August 2023, where a total of 19 churches were gutted and 89 Christian houses were burnt down," Petal Gahlot said.</p>

<p>"The condition of women belonging to minority communities in Pakistan notably Hindu Sikhs and Christians remains deplorable. According to a recent report published by Pakistan's own Human Rights Commission, an estimated 1,000 women from minority communities are subjected to abduction, forced conversion and marriage in Pakistan every year. Pakistan has been the home and patron to the largest number of internationally prescribed terrorist entities and individuals in the world," she added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Instead of engaging in technical sophistry, we call upon Pakistan to take credible and verifiable action against the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks whose victims await justice even after 15 years. In order for there to be peace in South Asia, the actions that Pakistan needs to take are threefold. First, stop cross-border terrorism and shut down its infrastructure of terrorism immediately. Second, vacate Indian territories under its illegal and forcible occupation. And third, stop the grave and persistent human rights violations against the minorities in Pakistan, " the Indian diplomat said.&nbsp;</p>

Pakistan is situated in the least economically integrated region in the world. <p>India's National Investigation Agency has confiscated the properties of banned Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) chief&nbsp;Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in Amritsar and Chandigarh, media reports said. The confiscated properties include 46 kanal of agricultural property in the ancestral village Khankot, located on the outskirts of Amritsar district.</p>

<p>Another property that is confiscated by India's law enforcement agency is his house no. 2033 in Sector 15-C, Chandigarh. After confiscation, Pannun lost rights to the property and the property now belongs to the government.&nbsp;In 2020, his properties were attached, which meant he could not sell them.</p>

<p>The central agency also pasted a property confiscation notice outside a house belonging to slain Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, in Bharsingh Pura village of Jalandhar district.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is a designated terrorist in India. Earlier, after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau insinuated connections between the Indian government and the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Pannun threatened the Hindus living in Canada to leave the country and announced a fresh referendum and vote asking if the Indian high commissioner was responsible for the assassination of the Khalistani terrorist.</p>

<p>A diplomatic row was sparked between India and Canada after Trudeau accused 'agents of the Indian government' of orchestrating the attack.<br />

"Indo-Canadian Hindus, you have repudiated your allegiance to Canada and the Canadian constitution. Your destination is India. Leave Canada, and go to India. Pro-Khalistan Sikhs have always been loyal to Canada. They have always sided with Canada and uphold the laws and constitution," Pannun was heard saying in the 45-second video.</p>

<p>"On October 29, the shaheed (martyr) Nijjar referendum is happening in Vancouver. I urge all Canadian Sikhs to be in Vancouver on October 29, to vote on: Is the Indian High Commissioner Responsible for the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar," he said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier, his SFJ outfit vowed to hold protests and shut down Indian consulate offices in Canada in the coming week, Canadian media outlet Global News reported. &nbsp;</p>

<p>“We will not allow the Indian consulates to function and we’re going to push the Canadian government to name the individuals who are responsible for assassinating and giving the orders to hit Nijjar,” Khalistani radical Gurpatwant Singh Pannun from Sikhs for Justice told the outlet.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After Canada accused India and drew links with the killing of Nijjar, New Delhi lashed out at the Canadian government, rubbishing the claims and urging it to take action against anti-India activities ongoing in the country.&nbsp;</p>

<p>B.C. Premiere, who was visibly distraught during his address, said that everything he knows about the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar is already "in the public realm," reported CBC News.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I understand there may need to be reform around the act that governs CSIS in order for them to be able to share this information," Eby said adding, "If that's what's required, let's make it happen because the only way that we're going to make traction on this is by the federal government trusting the provincial government with information and being able to act on it in our local communities.''</p>

Nijjar was killed by unidentified men outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, British Columbia, on June 18. Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau said that his government had credible information linking Indian government agents to the murder, prompting a befitting response from New Delhi.</p>
