'Pakistan responsible for it': India confirms violation of agreement by Pak, says Indian Army is 'retaliating'

In light of the India-Pakistan tension, how has tourism been affected? We explain how the Kartarpur Corridor has been closed, and the Waga-Attari border ceremony has been suspended until further notice. We also cover airports closed in border areas, and cancelled flights, and how border areas have seen schools close temporarily. This tension has also affected destinations near India and Pakistan, as flights to countries like Kazakhstan has seen flight cancellations.

How India-Pakistan Tension Affects Tourism | WION Wings

Hours after India and Pakistan announced a ceasefire, Indian National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a telephonic conversation, reported WION's Assistant Editor Foreign Affairs Sidhant Sibal.
NSA Doval stated that the Pahalgam terrorist attack had caused significant casualties among Indian personnel, and that India needed to take counter-terrorism actions. He emphasized that war is not India's choice and does not serve the interests of any party. Both India and Pakistan are committed to maintaining the ceasefire and hope for the early restoration of regional peace and stability.

Wang Yi expressed China's condemnation of the Pahalgam terrorist attack and its opposition to all forms of terrorism. He noted that given the current complex and volatile international situation, peace and stability in Asia are hard-won and should be cherished.
Wang Yi also said that India and Pakistan are neighboring countries that cannot be relocated, and both are also neighbors of China.

China supported and looked forward to India and Pakistan achieving a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire through negotiations, which is in the fundamental interests of both countries and the shared aspiration of the international community.

After the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced a ceasefire, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, exposed Pakistan’s misinformation campaign during a press briefing by the Ministry of Defence.
“Several attempts were made by Pakistan on spreading a misinformation campaign, as we have seen in the last few days,” Qureshi said.

“There were attempts made to say that our S-400 at our northern base was destroyed, which was completely false. And that it was destroyed by a JF-17, it was false information. Also, that the BrahMos installation was attacked and it was destroyed was false,” she added.

She further added, “The destruction of airfields at Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Bhuj, Nalia, etc., was also a false claim. The Forward Ammunition Depot at Chandigarh and Beas are also fit and fine, and we showed you in the photographs in the morning briefing today.”
