<p>MacKenzie Scott, a venture philanthropist and the&nbsp;ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff&nbsp;Bezos, said Tuesday she has given $4.2 billion to groups helping the vulnerable as the pandemic hits lives like "a wrecking ball."</p>

<p>In a <a href="https://medium.com/@mackenzie_scott/384-ways-to-help-45d0b9ac6ad8">blog entry</a>, Scott said she needed to help Americans who were battling a direct result of the pandemic.&nbsp;</p>

<p>MacKenzie Scott is the world's eighteenth most extravagant individual, having seen her wealth climb from $23.6 billion this year to $60.7 billion.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"This pandemic has been a destroying ball in the lives of Americans previously battling," she wrote in a blog entry on Tuesday, adding that she had picked in excess of 380 foundations to give to having thought about right around 6,500 associations.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Scott said she enlisted a team of advisors that helped identify 384 organizations across the US that support people suffering from the economic toll of the pandemic.</p>

<p>Special attention was given to organisations working to combat hunger, poverty and racial inequity in communities, according to Scott.</p>

<p>Forbes on Thursday lopped more than $3 billion from its estimated net worth of WeWork co-founder Adam Neumann as the company faced scepticism regarding its future.</p>

<p>Forbes revised that figure to $600 million -- by no means paltry but a big, quick plunge in wealth.</p>

Saudi Arabian Minister of Finance Mohammed al-Jadaan and Minister of Economy and Planning Mohammed al-Tuwaijri were appointed as members of the board of directors, Aramco said in a statement. The global billionaire population jumped 13 per cent from last year to 2,043, the biggest annual increase in the 31 years since the magazine began compiling the list, Forbes said. The US led the countries with the most billionaires with 565, a product of the swelling value of the American stock market since Trump`s November 2016 election. China was second with 319 billionaires, and Germany was third with 114. Trump himself slipped 220 spots on the list to number 544 with an estimated $3.5 billion. Forbes attributed Trump`s drop to sluggishness in the Manhattan real estate market which is responsible for a disproportionate amount of his wealth. "Forty per cent of Donald Trump`s fortune is tied up in Trump Tower and eight buildings within one mile of it," Forbes said. "Lately, the neighborhood has been struggling (relatively speaking)." Among others in the Forbes top 10, Amancio Ortega of Spanish apparel chain Zara was fifth, Mexican telecom tycoon Carlos Slim was sixth, the Koch brothers, Charles and David, were eighth and ninth and former New York City mayor and Bloomberg News founder Michael Bloomberg was 10th. As many as 101 Indians, made it to the "The World’s Billionaires" list, Forbes said in a statement on Monday. They include Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani (No 1; $23.2 billion, industrialist Lakshmi Mittal (No. 56; $16.4 bn); Azim Premji (No. 72; $14.9 bn); Dilip Shanghvi (No. 84; $13.7 bn) and Shiv Nadar (No. 102; $12.3 bn). This year it took at least $3.7 billion in wealth to make it onto the list, but only in a tie for 501th place, a group that included Hollywood director Steven Spielberg.
