Cristiano Ronaldo arrived in Manchester and joined the Manchester United camp on Tuesday (July 26). The superstar footballer touched down in Manchester along with his superagent&nbsp;Jorge Mendes to hold talks with new manager Erik ten Hag regarding his future with the Red Devils, ahead of the commencement of the new EPL season.

As per various reports, Ronaldo is eager to cut short his stay at the premier club -- with one year still remaining in his contract -- after the Red Devils failed to make a mark in the last EPL season, ending sixth and missing out on Champions League football for the 2022/23 season. Thus, Ronaldo is eager to be associated with a club where he can compete in the Champions League and, hence, the 37-year-old isn't happy with how things have panned out for him in his ongoing second innings at the club. Thus, reports suggest that the Portuguese captain has&nbsp;handed in a transfer request. His absence from Man United's pre-season tour of Bangkok and Australia for personal reasons&nbsp;further raised speculations of his exit.

Was Alex Ferguson part of Ronaldo's meeting with Ten Hag over his Man UTD future? Here's the truth

Cristiano Ronaldo's future with Manchester United hangs in the balance. When Ronaldo rejoined the Red Devils, after his first stint with the premier club from 2003-09, the ardent Man United fans erupted in joy. Ronaldo also had a good season with the team in 2021/22, returning with&nbsp;24 goals across all competitions -- the highest goal-scorer for United -- but the team's lacklustre run in the last EPL season resulted in them finishing sixth and missing out on Champions League football for 2022/23.

Thus, Ronaldo's future with the United remains a mystery for one and all ahead of the commencement of the EPL 2022/23 season. While the 37-year-old had earlier stated that he is eager to stay and take United to more glory, things have changed in recent times with the Portuguese captain reportedly not happy at the club and&nbsp;handed in a transfer request. Since then, reports have been flowing in that a lot of clubs -- including Man United's arch-rival Chelsea -- have been&nbsp;in talks with Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes.

Nonetheless,&nbsp;according to a report by The Athletic, Chelsea is not going to make a bid for Ronaldo from Man United. The two-time Champions League winners were considered to be one of the leading clubs discussing a potential move with Ronaldo's agent -- following new co-owner Todd Boehly's&nbsp;talks with Mendes -- however, it seems Chelsea isn't interested in signing Ronaldo. After Romelu Lukaku's departure, they have roped in&nbsp;Raheem Stirling, hence, the Portuguese striker isn't a priority for them with an already star-studded attacking line-up at their disposal, comprising&nbsp;Kai Haverts, Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount and Callum-Hudson Odoi.

Recently, a Saudi club made a mouth-watering offer to acquire&nbsp;Ronaldo's services --&nbsp;with a transfer fee of £30 million and a whopping salary of £105 million every year. As per reports, the 37-year-old superstar footballer has turned down the offer, hence, there remains no clarity over Ronaldo's future. Will he remain at Man United or find a make a switch?

The picture will surely get much clear in the coming few weeks.

Transfer News: Real Madrid's Martin Odegaard joins Arsenal on loan

Brazilian superstar Neymar has pledged to spark a trophy glut at Paris Saint Germain after agreeing to a <a href="http://www.wionews.com/football/football-neymar-signs-record-breaking-264-million-deal-with-psg-18572" target="_blank">five-year deal on a world record 222 million euro ($264 million) transfer from Barcelona.</a>

The 25-year-old will earn a mind-boggling 30 million euros ($35.5 million) a year in Paris but insists he will prove value for money for the ambitious but under-performing Qatari-owned French side.

&quot;I am extremely happy to join Paris Saint-Germain,&quot; said Neymar.

&quot;Since I arrived in Europe, the club has always been one of the most competitive and most ambitious. And the biggest challenge, what most motivated me to join my new teammates is to help the club to conquer the titles that their fans want.&nbsp;

&quot;Paris Saint-Germain&#39;s ambition attracted me to the club, along with the passion and the energy this brings. I played four seasons in Europe and I feel ready to take the challenge.&nbsp;

&quot;From today, I will do everything I can to help my new teammates, to open up new horizons for my club and to bring happiness to its millions of supporters around the world.&quot;

PSG said that Neymar will be unveiled at a press conference at the club&#39;s Parc des Princes at 1130GMT on Friday.

He will then be presented to fans at the same ground at 1345GMT on Saturday before the season-opening Ligue 1 fixture against promoted Amiens.

PSG wasted no time in pressing Neymar&#39;s commercial value by announcing that shirts bearing his name will be on sale from 0800GMT Friday at the club&#39;s megastore on the city&#39;s iconic Champs Elysees.

Football legend Pele congratulated Neymar on his move, telling his successor in the famed Brazilian number 10 shirt: &quot;Good luck for your new challenge&quot;.

&quot;Paris is a beautiful city and one of my favourites in the world,&quot; three-time World Cup winner Pele wrote on Twitter.

The transfer is more than double the previous world record set by Manchester United&#39;s capture of Paul Pogba from Juventus last year for 105 million euros, leaving many commentators aghast at the rampant inflation in football transfer fees.

Leading coaches such as Arsenal&#39;s Arsene Wenger and Manchester United&#39;s Jose Mourinho lamented that the move could cause even greater inflation in transfer fees and player wages.

&quot;It also looks like the inflation is accelerating,&quot; said Wenger, whose 21 years at Arsenal have been characterised by prudent spending.

&quot;It&#39;s beyond calculation and beyond rationality.&quot;

&nbsp;&#39;A state signing&#39;

However, in the French capital there is huge excitement at PSG having landed a star name to finally make them feared among European football&#39;s elite with even French president Emmanuel Macron enthused.

&quot;It adds attractiveness. Yes, it&#39;s good news,&quot; said Macron.

&quot;Neymar to PSG -- the transfer of the century&quot;, splashed Le Parisien&#39;s front page on Thursday with the first five pages devoted to his impending arrival.

The mood is understandably more sombre in Barcelona where attention has turned to who the Catalans can sign to replace Neymar in the month before the transfer window closes.

Neymar&#39;s Brazilian international teammate Philippe Coutinho of Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund&#39;s Ousmane Dembele have both been linked.

There is also scepticism at the role played by PSG&#39;s owners Oryx Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) at a time of political crisis for the energy-rich state which has been boycotted by its Gulf neighbours in recent months and will play host to the World Cup in 2022.

Spanish newspaper El Mundo described the move as a &quot;state signing.&quot;

But whilst La Liga protests at losing one of its biggest stars, Barca&#39;s players have continued to wish their now former teammate well.

&quot;My friend I wish you the best in everything that comes!!!&quot; Luis Suarez posted on Instagram alongside a picture of the two hugging.

&quot;Also thank you for your support, for everything that I learned with you and for the unique moments that we spent together!!!! Keep like this and never change love you little bro.&quot;

Neymar pledges trophy haul after PSG transfer

Another day and another day of transfer rumours. So without me being a fork in the soup, let&#39;s just get started with today&#39;s goss.

Romelu Lukaku

Let&#39;s start Monday with the big Belgian. The Everton striker, the league&#39;s top-scorer, is wanted by several big Premier League clubs, including his former club Chelsea.

But Sun believes that he is likely to reject the Blues and instead sign for Manchester United.

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/XNwyaADU2xo" width="560"></iframe>

The UK tabloid says this year&#39;s Premier League top-scorer is unsure as to how he would fit in Antonio Conte&#39;s team.

But despair not, fans of Diego Costa-less Chelsea. Not all is lost. The report goes on to state that Lukaku aspires to play in the Champions League and United getting a berth is far from certain.

Alvaro Morata

The Real Madrid striker is another player in hot demand.

And it is the same two protagonists. Nope, we won&#39;t just track Manchester United and Chelsea transfer stories, I promise.

But here, it is Chelsea that is coveted and not United.

Dario Gol reports that the player held several meetings with clubs across Europe, but has penned down Stamford Bridge as his next destination.

Morata did his reputation no harm over the weekend by scoring a couple during Real&#39;s mauling of Granada.

Radja Nainggolan&nbsp;and&nbsp;Antonio Rudiger

I honestly am not a Chelsea fan. It&#39;s not my fault that the fantastical, but sometimes real, world of football transfer world have taken a liking to Chelsea to beat away its Monday morning blues.

Or maybe the Sun&nbsp;just has more dope on the Blues today.

Their report suggests that Chelsea gaffer Conte is planning to raid Roma this summer, and splash out 70 million GBP to bring the duo to Stamford bridge.

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/8MRCa9z_iJQ" width="560"></iframe>

Midfielder Nainggolan was close to signing for Chelsea last season but the deal collapsed as the club failed to comply with Roma&#39;s 32 million GBP demand.

Rudiger, who has been a rock in Roma&#39;s backline, since joining from Stuttgart in 2015.

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/IhC4TS16qGk" width="560"></iframe>

Ross Barkley

Tottenham&nbsp;are interested in him. So would their fierce cross-town rivals be left out?

Arsenal too have shown their interest in the 23-year-old England international.

Both the clubs are keeping a hawkish eye on developments in the next few days. They plan to swoop in for him if his talks with his current employers Everton fall through.

Luka Modric

Bayern Munich are keen to replace the Xabi Alonso with the Real midfielder, according to Don Balon.

Also, what about Morata? And which club is interested in Modric?

Another day and another day of transfer rumours. So without me being a fork in the soup, let's just get started with today's goss. Romelu Lukaku Let's start Monday with the big Belgian. The Everton striker, the league's top-scorer, is wanted by several big Premier League clubs, including his former club Chelsea. But Sun believes that he is likely to reject the Blues and instead sign for Manchester United. The UK tabloid says this year's Premier League top-scorer is unsure as to how he would fit in Antonio Conte's team. But despair not, fans of Diego Costa-less Chelsea. Not all is lost. The report goes on to state that Lukaku aspires to play in the Champions League and United getting a berth is far from certain. Alvaro Morata The Real Madrid striker is another player in hot demand. And it is the same two protagonists. Nope, we won't just track Manchester United and Chelsea transfer stories, I promise. But here, it is Chelsea that is coveted and not United. Dario Gol reports that the player held several meetings with clubs across Europe, but has penned down Stamford Bridge as his next destination. Morata did his reputation no harm over the weekend by scoring a couple during Real's mauling of Granada. Radja Nainggolan and Antonio Rudiger I honestly am not a Chelsea fan. It's not my fault that the fantastical, but sometimes real, world of football transfer world have taken a liking to Chelsea to beat away its Monday morning blues. Or maybe the Sun just has more dope on the Blues today. Their report suggests that Chelsea gaffer Conte is planning to raid Roma this summer, and splash out 70 million GBP to bring the duo to Stamford bridge. Midfielder Nainggolan was close to signing for Chelsea last season but the deal collapsed as the club failed to comply with Roma's 32 million GBP demand. Rudiger, who has been a rock in Roma's backline, since joining from Stuttgart in 2015. Ross Barkley Tottenham are interested in him. So would their fierce cross-town rivals be left out? Arsenal too have shown their interest in the 23-year-old England international. Both the clubs are keeping a hawkish eye on developments in the next few days. They plan to swoop in for him if his talks with his current employers Everton fall through. Luka Modric Bayern Munich are keen to replace the Xabi Alonso with the Real midfielder, according to Don Balon. Kylian Mbappe The teenage sensation doesn't seem to be keen on joining Manchester United, if L'Equipe is to be believed. More transfer news (WION)

Football transfer news: Is Lukaku joining Man United or Chelsea?

Another hectic day of transfer news across Europe as clubs, agents and players set the ball rolling for another hectic day of backchannel negotiations.&nbsp;

Antoine Griezmann

Manchester United is in the inside lane to land the coveted French international, but their pursuit may not be all that easy anymore as Chelsea seem to be interested in him as well.

The London-based club are interested in the Atletico Madrid forward, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Although there are reports of Griezmann agreeing on&nbsp;personal terms with United, the deal may still collapse if the Red Devils fail to reach the Champions League.

Atletico have already slapped a 100 million euros (84 million GBP) release clause for clubs to lure the 25-year-old player.

A Sky report suggests that there are four more clubs in the running to secure the Frenchman&#39;s signature.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Bild believes that the African Player of the Year met PSG officials in Paris on Wednesday to discuss his future. The Parisian club is apparently willing to meet Borussia Dortmund&#39;s demand for 70 million GBP for the striker.&nbsp;

The speedy striker, who is also on Manchester City target, spoke with sports director Patrick Kluivert to discuss his wages.

Diego Costa

On to Hazard&#39;s teammate. AS is of the opinion that the Chelsea striker has already packed his bags for China.

Apparently,&nbsp;Tianjin Quanjian have already forged a deal with the Spanish international, which will see him get a cool 30 million GBP a year.

Alexis Sanchez

Look away if you are an Arsenal fan.

Bayern Munich are apparently working hard to get the Chilean forward to Germany, according to Daily Mirror.

The Bavarian giants are looking at players who can replace Frank Ribbery and Arjen Robben on the wings, and they believe that Sanchez would fit the bill.

Willian

The winger may be offloaded by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte this summer, according to several British tabloids.

Willian, who had a great 2015-16 season, has seen himself&nbsp;getting relegated to the bench this season, primarily owing to Pedro&#39;s arrival.

Chelsea believe they can recoup around $40 million GBP if they sell the winger and help augment their transfer war chest.

Willian has always been in Jose Mourinho&#39;s good books and there have been some reports indicating that the current Manchester United boss might be interested in luring him to Old Trafford.

Arsene Wenger

The under-fire Arsenal boss remains tight-lipped about his future, though he had earlier said he would disclose his future plans by April-end.

But there will be ramifications if the Frenchman does leave the club after 21 years of service.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud will decide on his future depending on Wenger&#39;s decision. The striker&#39;s agent said he would stay if Wenger remained at the club.

Kylian Mbappe

Several reports, including Guardian, had reported that Manchester United&#39;s 72 million GBP bid had been declined by the french club.

But Sky believes that the bid has not been turned down yet.

Reports in France say that Monaco is keen to hold on to the precocious teenager for another year.&nbsp;
