Newey has been rumoured to move to Ferrari where Lewis Hamilton will be heading after the ongoing season.

Notably, Newey has acknowledged regretting not working with a driver like Hamilton in his career.

Visually, the 12Cilindri is a stark combination of the brand’s past and present. The two-door mid-front-engined Berlinetta takes inspiration from the legendary Grand Tourers of the 1950s and ‘60s. While its styling is a complete departure from the outgoing 812, the wraparound band incorporating the light units at the front is a clear nod to the Ferrari 365 GTB/4, more commonly known as the Ferrari Daytona. At the rear, instead of a spoiler, the designers have used two active flaps integrated with the rear screen, creating a signature delta theme. These flaps permit two different configurations,&nbsp;Low Drag&nbsp;(LD) and&nbsp;High Downforce&nbsp;(HD), and these configurations work depending on the&nbsp;speed of the vehicle.

The 12Cilindri is built using an all-new&nbsp;all-aluminium&nbsp;chassis, featuring a 20mm reduction in wheelbase and 15% more torsional&nbsp;rigidity,&nbsp;compared to the 812 Superfast. For the first time on a Ferrari production car, a secondary alloy with 100% recycled material has been used to make the shock towers of the gearbox subframe. Speaking of the gearbox, the 12Cilindri gets the eight-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission), first seen on the SF90 Stradale.

Powering the 12Cilindri is Ferrari’s F140HD 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 that develops a colossal 819bhp and 678Nm (80% of the total torque is available at just 2500rpm) with absolutely no hybrid assistance. Thanks to the numerous updates on this engine, it now revs up to 9,500rpm (8,900rpm redline in the Superfast) and can catapult the 12Cilindri&nbsp;from 0-100km/h in just 2.9&nbsp;seconds,&nbsp;and&nbsp;from 0-200 km/h in under 7.9 seconds.&nbsp;This&nbsp;makes the 12Cilindri the most powerful pure-combustion series production Ferrari model&nbsp;to date. Following his stunning win in Melbourne, Sainz also affirmed that he is fully fit and raring to go. "I’ve been riding my bike this week, stayed in Australia for a week and started going back to the gym." He further opined, "I'm still obviously not lifting heavy numbers like I used to do in the past, but at least I can get my training done and feeling back to 100%."

A Ferrari stolen from Austrian former racing driver Gerhard Berger after the San Marino Grand Prix in 1995 has been recovered, Britain's Metropolitan Police said Monday (Mar 4).

The Austrian explained that his red F512M Testarossa had disappeared from outside his hotel.

London's Metropolitan Police said they launched an investigation in January after receiving a report from Ferrari, which had carried out checks on a car being bought by a US buyer via a UK broker in 2023, that revealed it was stolen.

Officers traced the car's background within four days, finding out that it had been shipped to Japan shortly after being stolen from Berger and then brought to the UK in late 2023.

The Dutch driver has been in a class of his own ever since he won the first title in 2021, in&nbsp;a rather controversial manner against Lewis Hamilton. He won the third championship last week at the Qatar Grand Prix, with four races still left in the calendar.&nbsp;

“It has an incredible history in this sport and is a great opponent to compete against. Future at Ferrari? When my current contract expires I will be 31 years old and I think I can still do well," Verstappen was quoted as saying by Sportweek.&nbsp;

Verstappen has been with Red Bull since 2016 and the two have enjoyed a highly fruitful partnership over the years. Despite rumours surrounding a Ferrari move, Verstappen added that he was happy with Red Bull and felt at home with the current team.&nbsp;

"It would be a beautiful story if I could drive here forever, that's for sure, something that will be amazing. I'm really happy with where I am. Reigning world champion and runaway leader Verstappen is chasing a 10th straight GP win after equalling Sebastian Vettel's record of nine at his home Dutch GP last weekend.

Red Bull have won every one of this year's 13 races so far with Verstappen claiming 11 and Sergio Perez winning the other two.

A racing drama, Ferrari debuted in competition to a packed house at the Sala Grande Theatre. As he stayed put in his seat, Mann helped him get up and receive the applause. This is possibly the first film that has managed to bring some star power to the Venice Fest as many changes had to be made in the original schedule owing to dual Hollywood strikes that have been rocking the entertainment industry. Ferrari was one film everyone was hoping could change the mood at the Venice Film Festival and it didn’t disappoint one bit. In the film, Adam Driver takes on the role of racecar driver Enzo Ferrari. People lined up outside the venue to catch a glimpse of the actor as they were informed that Adam was among the only few in attendance at the fest. Amid the strikes, Ferrari is allowed to meet the press and promote their film since it is not backed by a studio but is an indie movie from distributor Neon, but Driver was the only big star in attendance. While Ferrari also stars Penelope Cruz, she didn’t make it to the event. Venice Film Festival won't be seeing regulars like Zendaya, Bradley Cooper, Carey Mulligan, and Michael Fassbender due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. What is Ferrari about? Ferrari is based on the biography Enzo Ferrari: The Man and the Machine by Brock Yates. Michael Mann’s Ferrari is set during the summer of 1957 as the eponymous racer and entrepreneur (Driver) must overcome threats of bankruptcy, divorce and the death of his son to save his business. Ferrari bets all on the Mile Miglia, a 1,000-mile race across Italy. The supporting cast includes Shailene Woodley, Gabriel Leone, Sarah Gadon, Jack O’Connell, Patrick Dempsey, and Giuseppe Bonifati. Michael Mann shot the film on location in Ferrari’s hometown of Modena. Ferrari will be released in theatres on December 25. Ferrari&nbsp;Formula&nbsp;One&nbsp;boss Fred Vasseur trod carefully when asked to comment on the team's former driver Felipe Massa seeking compensation from the sport for missing out on the 2008 championship. Lawyers for Brazilian Massa last week notified&nbsp;Formula&nbsp;One&nbsp;chief executive Stefano Domenicali and Mohammed Ben Sulayem, president of the governing FIA, of the intent to claim compensation.

They argued Massa had lost out on tens of millions of euros in likely earnings and bonuses as a result of Renault team bosses fixing the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix with a deliberate crash. Massa had been "the victim of a conspiracy committed by individuals at the highest level of F1 together with the FIA and&nbsp;Formula&nbsp;One&nbsp;Management", the lawyers said. An FIA spokesperson last week acknowledged receipt of "correspondence" from Massa's representatives and said the matter was under review. There has yet to be a response from&nbsp;Formula&nbsp;One.

"As you can imagine I don’t want to make any comment on this matter. I have a good relationship with all the stakeholders of this story and it’s quite tricky," Vasseur told reporters on a video call ahead of this weekend's Dutch Grand Prix. "For sure the circumstances were completely exceptional."

Massa, who had led the race before compatriot Nelson Piquet's crash, ended up losing the championship by a single point to Britain's Lewis Hamilton who was then racing for McLaren. The scandal, widely known as 'Crashgate', did not emerge until a year later and led to Renault team bosses being banned.

Massa sought legal advice this year after the German website www.f1-insider.com quoted former F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone&nbsp;in March as saying he and former FIA president Max Mosley knew in 2008 that Piquet's crash was deliberate but had not acted.

Ecclestone, 92, told Reuters last week he cannot remember saying the key quotes attributed to him. Mosley died in 2021. Vasseur said teams wanted to know the result of races at the chequered flag and not after the podium celebrations had happened.

"I don’t want to make any comment but for sure it would be strange," he said of any potential re-investigation of what happened 15 years ago. "I’m not a big fan to change the result of the race 15 minutes after the chequered flag."

The Frenchman, who was Renault team boss in 2016, took over at Ferrari in January and was not in&nbsp;Formula&nbsp;One&nbsp;in 2008.
