The Liturgical Commission of the church, which is led by King Charles III, has started a special initiative to look at modernising future teachings, the church confirmed.

This comes after a discussion at the General Synod, the governing body of the Church, in which a priest sought solutions for individuals who want to talk of God in a "non-gendered way." He inquired about how to make authorised forms of worship more inclusive.

The priest claimed that since the debut of its kinds of service more than 20 years ago, there has been a larger desire in a new language. Bishop Michael Ipgrave, vice chairman of the Church's liturgical commission, said the Church had been "exploring the use of gendered language in relation to God for several years".

"Christians have recognised since ancient times that God is neither male nor female," a Church spokesperson while adding that the "variety of ways of addressing and describing God found in scripture has not always been reflected in our worship."

The archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, earlier said that “God is not male or female” or “definable.” “All human language about God is inadequate and to some degree metaphorical,” he said in 2018.

Milton Keynes: In a shocking incident in Milton Keynes, a dog killed a four-year-old girl, according to police. An ambulance service rushed at 17:00 GMT on Tuesday after receiving a report from Buckinghamshire. The dog attacked the little girl in the backyard of a property in Broadlands, Netherfield area of Milton Keynes.&nbsp;

Later, the reports confirmed that the four-year-old died at the spot of the incident. Thames Valley Police of Milton Keynes has not made any arrests yet. However, they have 'humanely destroyed' the dog, BBC reported.&nbsp;

Furthermore, the Milton Keynes authorities have called it a 'tragic accident.' No other information about the dog's breed is available.

On Tuesday, Supt Matt Bullivant of Thames Valley Police said, "I understand how much of an impact this will have on the community and the wider public. People can expect to see a large police presence in the area this evening and beyond while our investigation continues."

Bullivant also reassured the citizens of Milton Keynes living in the Netherfield area and said it was out of danger. "Anyone with concerns should feel free to approach our officers and ask questions, but I urge people not to speculate about the circumstances, especially on social media platforms," he added.&nbsp;

According to Thames Valley Police, no one suffered an injury during the incident. Officers also supported the four-year-old girl's mourning family.&nbsp;

Dennis Murray, an assistant chief constable of Thames Valley Police, tweeted about the incident. He wrote, "Terrible news in Milton Keynes this evening, a four-year-old girl has been killed after a dog attack." He added, &nbsp;"Please respect the family's privacy at this incredibly tragic time."

Thames Valley Police has urged people who have information on the incident to call 101. They quoted reference numbers 20230131-1546 or asked people to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A staff working in the library was left shocked when a guy submitted a book for return which was due in 1964.&nbsp;According to the report published in Metro News, pensioner David Hickman, aged 76, came to return the overdue book after 58 years and accrued staggering late fees of GBP 42,340.

According to the news outlet, Hickman was 17 years old when he got the book "The Law for Motorists" issued from the library in 1964.

He decided to borrow the book to make himself happy after he had a car accident. Hickman had collided with town mayor Councillor WGK Griffiths' car when he was waving to teenage girls from Dudley High School for Girls.&nbsp;

"My car was a 1947 Ford Popular, and, in those days, if you had "wheels," you were top of the food-chain when it came to getting the attention of girls. I'd been waving to the girls coming from the school, and my car drifted into the middle of the road. I was shocked to see the mayor. I borrowed the book to look to see if I had any defence,” Hickman said.&nbsp;

"My mother was furious when I went to court. People were more concerned with complying with authority back then. I even tried to buy the newspaper hoarding that listed the day's headlines so that she wouldn't see it," he added.&nbsp;

He then relocated to London and completely forgot about returning the book. However, this week, the 76-year-old, decided to go back to his hometown and return the book to the library in person.

As per the rules, Hickman would have been fined £42,340 as late fees for the book by the library according to an overdue fine of 20 pence for each day. However, the library decided to waive the charges after hearing his story.&nbsp;

Jofra Archer is poised to make an eagerly-anticipated England comeback in the new year after being named Thursday in a 14-strong squad for a three-match one-day international series in South Africa.

Sussex fast bowler Archer made a dramatic entry onto the international stage in 2019 when he became one of the stars of England's 50-over World Cup triumph.

But he has not played international cricket since March 2021 due to injury.

The 27-year-old Barbados-born quick suffered several elbow problems, which led to two operations, before his hopes of a return to action were dashed by a stress fracture of the lower back in May that ruled him out of the 2022 English season.

Archer, however, played for the second-string England Lions in a warm-up match against the Test side in Abu Dhabi last month ahead of the senior team's 3-0 whitewash of Pakistan.

Just six balls into the practice match, Archer hit Zak Crawley on the helmet with a bouncer.

An England and Wales Cricket Board statement issued Thursday said Archer was "recovering well from an elbow injury and is expected to return to international cricket in South Africa next month".

Meanwhile, rising star Harry Brook, fresh from three superb Test hundreds in Pakistan and England's T20 World Cup win in Australia, has been called into an ODI squad for the first time.

It will be played over six days, with two fixtures in Bloemfontein starting on January 27 before the final game takes place in Kimberley on February 1.

England skipper Ben Stokes has announced that he will be donating his match fees from the upcoming Test series against Pakistan to help the flood victims.&nbsp;

Stokes in a statement released on Twitter said he was excited to be back in Pakistan after 17 years and that his team had&nbsp;a sense of responsibility.&nbsp;

"The floods that devastated Pakistan earlier this year was very sad to see and has had significant impact on the country and the people," said Stokes in the statement.&nbsp;

"The game has given me a lot in my life and I feel it's only right to give something back that goes far beyond cricket. I will be donating my match fees from this Test series to the Pakistan Flood appeal," said the 31-year-old.&nbsp;

The swashbuckling allrounder said he hoped that this "donation can go towards the rebuilding of areas of Pakistan most affected by the flooding".
