"We're really happy to win this series and we go to Australia in a really good position, but I don't think we're favourites for the World Cup. If I'm honest, I don't feel that way at all, but I know we are a very dangerous team to play and other teams will fear playing us. "This tour was important, and it's their gratefulness. Coming over here to sort things out and accepting their fault and promising to play two additional T20Is is good news for our fans because I believe Pakistan should have a home season so spectators come and watch and top teams should tour."

Also, if we are firm and honest, we need not fear anybody," he said.

Women's and U-19 PSL, full home season: Ramiz reveals forward plan as PAK look to revamp as hosts

England will play two additional men's Twenty20 Internationals to the five T20Is originally planned when they will tour Pakistan in September/October 2022, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Chief Executive Tom Harrison announced on Tuesday following his meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ramiz Raja.

The men's side will then return to Pakistan in November/December at the back of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Australia 2022 to play three Tests, which will form part of the ICC World Test Championship.

ECB Chief Executive Tom Harrison in an official release: "Myself and ECB's Senior Director Martin Darlow visited Lahore to talk face to face with the PCB around some of the things that have happened over the past few weeks, leading to the cancellation of our tour in October.

Further adding in his statement, Harrison said: "This is just to reaffirm our commitment to Pakistan cricket to getting England teams, men's and women's teams, eventually playing in Pakistan at home."

"I don't think there's a cricketer in England who doesn't want to test their abilities against the huge talent this country has and in the conditions, they know best. We also talked with our colleagues at the PCB around pathway engagement, how we can support proposals around the women's game and some interesting ideas around the domestic agenda here in Pakistan," he added.

PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja: "The ECB have shown their large-heartedness to be here for which I am thankful to Tom and Martin. It means a lot to us. We are excited that England has committed to playing two additional T20Is as part of their white-ball tour in September/October in 2022."

The England teams were each scheduled to play two Twenty20 international matches on Oct. 13 and 14 in Rawalpindi, with the women`s side due to stay on for a three-match one-day international series from Oct. 17-21. 
 
"The ECB Board convened this weekend to discuss these extra England Women`s and Men`s games in Pakistan and we can confirm that the Board has reluctantly decided to withdraw both teams from the October trip," the ECB said in a statement. "The mental and physical well-being of our players and support staff remains our highest priority and this is even more critical given the times we are currently living in. 
 
"We know there are increasing concerns about travelling to the region and believe that going ahead will add further pressure to a playing group who have already coped with a long period of operating in restricted COVID environments." 
 
The ECB added that the men`s team touring under such conditions would not be ideal preparation for the Twenty20 World Cup next month. 
 
"We understand that this decision will be a significant disappointment to the PCB, who have worked tirelessly to host the return of international cricket in their country," it added. "We are sincerely sorry for the impact this will have on cricket in Pakistan and emphasise an ongoing commitment to our main touring plans there for 2022." 
 
New Zealand abruptly abandoned their tour of Pakistan on Friday citing a security alert, in a massive blow to the South Asian country`s hopes of staging regular international cricket. 
 
The tour was due to get underway with the first of three one-dayers in Rawalpindi on Friday but the New Zealand team did not travel to the stadium. 
 
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern backed New Zealand Cricket`s decision to end the tour. 
 
International teams have largely refused to tour Pakistan since an attack by Islamist militants on the Sri Lanka team bus in Lahore in 2009 that killed six policemen and two civilians. 
 
There are fears that New Zealand`s decision to go home will keep them away and Australia, who are scheduled to visit in February-March next year, also appear wary. 
 
A Cricket Australia spokesperson said the organisation was monitoring the situation and would "talk with the relevant authorities once more information becomes known".

England call off Pakistan tour after New Zealand security scare

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday confirmed that&nbsp;England Women will tour Pakistan in October, taking part in two T20Is and three ODIs.

Heather Knight's team will be making their first-ever trip to Pakistan, and will be alongside the England Men's white-ball team, with the two IT20s played as double-headers in Karachi on 14 and 15 October.

England Women will then stay in Karachi to compete in three ODIs&nbsp;on 18, 20 and 22 October.

England Women to tour Pakistan for first time in October

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday confirmed that England will make their first visit to Pakistan in 16 years to play two T20Is in Karachi on 14 and 15 October.&nbsp;England's&nbsp;tour to Pakistan next October will be for the first time since a 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan team bus.

England will arrive in Karachi on 12 October, and both the sides will depart for India on 16 October for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at the end of the series.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed the tour on Tuesday evening following last month’s invite by the PCB for a short tour in January 2021.

Due to the non-availability of its top stars during that period as they will be busy in international cricket, the ECB proposed the short tour in October in the lead up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which was welcomed by the PCB.
