Overnight, there have been reports of explosions close to the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk in Russia. On Friday, video posted to social media claimed to show massive explosions at the port, a significant hub for Russian exports. According to the Russian defense ministry, two sea drones were used to resist a Ukrainian attack on its naval facility there. It said that Russian ships manning the naval base's outer harbour had spotted and destroyed the drones.

<p>Josh Jorgensen, known for producing videos for the popular BlacktipH Fishing YouTube channel, posted the footage on his Instagram account, leaving viewers shocked at the sheer power of the&nbsp;apex predator.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>While flying the drone. Jorgensen filmed two large cobia swimming alongside a bull shark. Since cobia is regarded as one of the best-tasting fishes in the ocean,&nbsp;Jorgensen's friend&nbsp;revved his boat and went into&nbsp;the waters to catch the fish.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I was flying my drone at the beach and spotted two huge cobia swimming with a bull shark.&nbsp;Cobia is one of the best-tasting&nbsp;fish in the ocean.&nbsp;So, I called my buddy Carl, and he raced over to try to catch them," said&nbsp;Jorgensen.</p>

<p>While&nbsp;Jorgensen piloted the drone, he spotted the bull shark heading towards the boat's stern and ramming itself into the outboard motors and thrashing about the water. Such was the power of the shark that the boat, weighing a few tonnes easily, started shaking.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“The shark attacked the boat five times, swam away and then came back for more.&nbsp;In total, the shark attacked Carl’s boat eight times."</p>

<p>The project launched under the Israel National Drone Initiative (INDI) aims to create a national drone network and prepare the sky for drone deliveries, across the Jewish state, with regulators and private companies working together. It is a joint collaboration between the&nbsp;Transportation Ministry, the Israel Innovation Authority, Ayalon Highways Ltd., and the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel (CAAI).</p>

<p>“This is the first initiative of its kind in the world for an extensive and multidisciplinary examination of new technologies, including the transportation of cargo and later, people,” Transportation Minister Miri Regev was quoted as saying by <em>The Times of Israel</em>.</p>

<p>“The collaborative project examines all the aspects – including regulation and legislative changes – involved in the commercial operation of drones, as an additional tool to deal with congestion," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>For the first time ever,&nbsp;an autonomous flying vehicle,&nbsp;&nbsp;an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft with long-distance capabilities were all tested within a managed urban airspace carrying heavy cargo loads. Notable&nbsp;results were achieved by Cando Drones, Israeli Air, and Downwind</p>

<p>“The significance of these demonstrations lies in creating a regulatory sandbox that allows all relevant stakeholders to have practical experience before establishing a regulatory infrastructure that enables a wider economically viable model,” said Israel Innovation Authority CEO Dror Bin.</p>

<p>According to Israeli media reports, over 19,000 sorties have been performed by air taxis in the last three years. The companies are expected to intensify testing in the coming two years with weekly flights planned.&nbsp;</p>

It will allow different types of drones to fly at the same time for myriad purposes. Local local authorities have been blaming Ukraine for these incidents.</p>

Putin orders heightened border security as Kyiv faces massive Russian drone attack

<p>Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann sanctioned Rs 20 crore (around 200 million USD) for the installation of CCTV cameras at strategic locations in border villages to maintain strict surveillance on the movement of cross-border smugglers and drones, Special Director General of Police (DGP) Arpit Shukla said on Wednesday, as cited by news agency ANI.</p>

<p>He further added that DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav also announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh (1,211.72 USD) for providing information on drone movement leading to the recovery of weapons or narcotics.</p>

<p>The Special Director General of Police, Shukla, accompanied by the Inspector General (IG) of the BSF's Punjab Frontier headquartered in Jalandhar district Atul Fulzele, was in Khasa, Amritsar, for a joint coordination-cum-review meeting with senior officials of Border Security Force and Punjab Police, as per a statement issued.</p>

<p>The meeting was aimed at strengthening the security at the border in order to prevent cross-border smuggling.</p>

<p>The Punjab Police's DIG, Border Range, Narinder Bhargav, and DIG Ferozepur Range, Ranjit Singh Dhillon, along with four other DIGs, and four BSF commandants were among the senior officials who attended the talks.</p>

<p>Shukla called for greater synergy and teamwork between BSF and Punjab Police and further stated that both the elite forces should work together and exhibit better coordination to counter the Drone operations at Punjab borders, which have emerged as a new threat, according to the statement.</p>

<p>"He then stressed the need to carry out evidence-based and proactive policing to prevent the smuggling of narcotics and weapons into Punjab from across the border," it said.</p>

<p>"He further discussed the strategic locations and hotspots in border villages to install CCTV cameras to keep vigil over Indian Nationals involved in cross-border smuggling. He asked the BSF officials to share inputs of movements of suspected persons with the Punjab Police so that they can keep a sharp vigil on their activities and ensure penal action against those found involved in any criminal activity," the statement added.</p>

<p>He also proposed to activate village defence committees in the border areas. "These committees will work as eyes and ears of the police and supplement the efforts of the Punjab Police to wipe out drugs, terrorists, and gangsters from the border state," Shukla added.</p>

<h2><strong>BSF shot down drone along India-Pakistan border in Punjab</strong></h2>

<p>Lately, many incidents of alleged drone intrusions by Pakistan have been reported in the north Indian state of Punjab.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Last month, Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a Pakistani drone which was apparently trying to sneak into Indian territory, officials said on April 27. It was carrying packets of heroin and opium, the officials added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>BSF said in a press release said that at about 2:20 am (local time), BSF troops deployed at the border, heard the buzzing sound of a suspected drone entering from Pakistan to Indian territory and as per the laid down drill, troops immediately reacted to intercept the drone by firing.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On March 28, BSF foiled another intrusion attempt by a Pakistani drone in Amritsar after it entered Indian territory. The paramilitary force stated that it was carrying a consignment of contraband items.</p>

<p>Earlier, BSF troops shot down a Pakistani drone along the Indo-Pak border which intruded on the Amritsar sector in the intervening night of February 2 to February 3 at 2:30 AM. The drone entered the area of responsibility of the Border Observation Post (BOP) Rear Kakkar in the Amritsar sector of Punjab, said BSF.</p>

<p>According to AFP, several explosions were heard in Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine&nbsp;on Thursday after it witnessed a series of attacks overnight.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>An AFP journalist reported seeing a drone that the air defence attempted to shoot down, as the Kyiv city military administration stated that "air defence is at work."</p>

<p>The explosions ended after around 15 to 20 minutes. AFP journalists reported that they saw a cloud of black smoke rising in the air just after an announcement was made by the Kyiv city military administration stating that the air raid alert was over. &nbsp;</p>

<p>As per Reuters, one witness saw a drone falling in an area near the bank of the Dnipro River and Dynamo soccer stadium, outside the city centre.&nbsp;</p>

<p>An alert was issued by the local authorities for both Kyiv and the surrounding area and anti-aircraft units went into operation.</p>

<p>"The enemy drone was shot down," presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko reported "explosions and fire in the Solomyansky district of the capital" and further gave warning of potential drone debris.</p>
