The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) recently alerted police departments across California about a potential security threat involving drones that could be launched from offshore vessels in retaliation for US military actions against Iran, according to an alert reviewed by ABC News. A major security scare unfolded in Dublin as four military-style drones breached a no-fly zone moments after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s aircraft landed. The unidentified UAVs flew directly toward the expected flight path, then circled a secretly deployed Irish Navy vessel protecting the visit. Gardaí are investigating whether the drones launched from Dublin’s northeast coast or an offshore vessel. The high-spec drones have raised concerns of a possible hybrid attack, mirroring similar European incidents.

Ukraine estimates the damage caused by the attacks at over $2bn (£1.5bn). The targets hit included TU-95s (the large strategic bomber known as “Bear”), TU-22M3s (supersonic long-range bomber) and A-50 (early warning and control aircraft). Ukraine's SBU security service on Sunday claimed that it had hit Russian military planes worth a combined $7 billion in a wave of drone strikes on Russian air bases thousands of kilometres behind the front lines. "$7 billion: This is the estimated cost of the enemy's strategic aviation, which was hit today as a result of the SBU's special operation," the agency said in a social media post. Disclaimer: A number of claims and counterclaims are being made on Ukraine-Russia war on the ground and online. 40 Russian jets hit nearly 400 drones downed Ukraine counters Russias biggest drone attack What we know

Ukraine on Sunday (June 1) launched a "large-scale" attack to destroy Russian jets and its airbases as it geared up for talks in Istanbul with Moscow counterparts on Monday (June 2) to explore hope of a ceasefire. The operation, named, 'Operation Spider’s Web' was carried out by Ukraine’s security service (SBU), targeted four airbases in what could be the most damaging drone strike of the three-year war. Confirming the strike, an SBU source said, “Enemy strategic bombers are burning en masse in Russia — this is the result of a special operation by the SBU.” What all airbases were targeted? Video clip from Belaya base in Siberia shows rows of Russian strategic and nuclear bombers burning, while heavy plumes of black smoke were seen rising above Olenya air base in the Arctic. Drones also targeted the Ivanovo air base, northeast of Moscow, and Dyagilevo base, south of the capital. A massive explosion has also shook the Russian Arctic city of Severomorsk, which is home to the Northern Fleet’s main naval base, although the damage is not yet clear.

The investigation is going on by officials in connection with various sightings of mysterious drone activities that have taken place across northern New Jersey recently, running parallel with the situation of Donald Trump's future golf club that is located in Bedminster. There is footage shot by Somerset and Morris counties and aerials captured between December 1 and December 3 with dates shown on them. In an earlier video dated November 25, drones fly over the Black River Middle School lying in Chester, as observed by one Mike Walsh, a resident of Morris County.

In the video, Walsh says, "I can see three drones right in this view. I see them coming this way."

Fox News Digital confirmed on Tuesday that the FAA had investigated an unusual drone sighting reported over northern and central New Jersey on November 18. The FAA immediately issued two temporary flight restrictions, one of them covering airspace above Trump's properties; this restriction would remain in effect until the end of this week.

"At the request of federal security partners, the FAA published two temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) prohibiting drone flights over Picatinny Arsenal Military Base and Trump National Golf Club Bedminster," the agency said. The flight restriction affecting Picatinny Arsenal, a U.S. Army research centre, will last until December 26th.

The FAA told Fox News Digital. "We look into all reports of unauthorised drone operations and investigate when appropriate."

The Morris County Sheriff Office confirmed on Wednesday that it's investigating the case along with many other authorities. According to reports, the investigation has prompted the involvement of the FBI Newark field office, New Jersey State Police, and Somerset County Prosecutor's Office for more information.

Russia launched a record 188 drones at Ukraine overnight, Kyiv said Tuesday, amid growing international tensions over Russian missile threats and hints Moscow could strike European cities.

Russia launched a record 188 drones at Ukraine overnight, Kyiv said Tuesday, amid growing international tensions over Russian missile threats and hints Moscow could strike European cities. Moscow and Kyiv have been escalating their drone and missile broadsides, with Ukraine recently firing US long-range missiles at Russia and the Kremlin retaliating with an experimental hypersonic missile. The barrage came as ambassadors from Ukraine and NATO's 32 members were due to meet in Brussels over Russia's firing last week of the intermediate-range missile on the city of Dnipro. Also read | Netanyahu's minister says voluntary emigration 'only way' Israel could occupy Gaza "During the night attack, the enemy launched a record number of Shahed strike unmanned aerial vehicles and unidentified drones," the air force said Tuesday, referring to Iranian-designed drones and putting the overall number fired at 188. The air force said it had shot down 76 Russian drones in 17 regions, while another 95 were either lost from their radars or downed by electronic jamming defensive systems. It did not specify what happened to the remainder. Moscow also fired four Iskander-M ballistic missiles, the air force said. "Unfortunately, critical infrastructure facilities were hit, private and apartment buildings were damaged in several regions," a statement said. AFP journalists heard explosions ring out over the capital, while Kyiv city officials said the air alert had lasted five hours and 10 Russian drones were shot down there. Power disrupted In the western Ternopil region, which is among those spared the worst of the fighting, authorities said drones had damaged a "critical infrastructure facility," without elaborating. They said however that the attack had disrupted electricity in the city of Ternopil and surrounding towns, and that engineers were working to stabilise supplies. Putin said the new missile attack last week was in response to Ukraine firing weapons supplied by the United States and Britain into Russia. The Kremlin leader warned that Moscow felt "entitled" to hit military facilities in countries that allow Ukraine to use their weapons against Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called the strike "the latest bout of Russian madness" and appealed for updated air defence systems to meet the new threat. Kyiv says it hopes to get "concrete and meaningful outcomes" after calling the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council. The meeting "provides an opportunity to discuss the current security situation in Ukraine and will include briefings from Ukrainian officials via video link," a NATO official said.
