Alyse Ogletree made all her donations to Mothers' Milk Bank in North Texas, a total measuring 2,645.58 litres as of July 2023. She has also donated beyond this record but it was not counted. She said her favourite thing about this is knowing that she is helping other people.

“I have a big heart,” she told the Guinness World Records. “At the end of the day, I’m not made of money and I can’t give away money to good causes over and over because I have a family I have to support for.”

Alyse found out she was overproducing and throwing it away after she gave birth to her first son Kyle, now 14. She started donating breast milk in 2010 after she learned how to from a nurse.

“Our first child, Kyle, was in the hospital, and I was filling the nurses’ freezer. A nurse asked if I was donating, which I didn’t know was possible, and that is when I learned about it.”

Alyse has two more children, Kage, 12, and Kory, seven. Additionally, she has been a surrogate for another.

She broke the record for the first time when she submitted her application after donating when she had her daughter Kage. She continued donating following the birth of her youngest and when she became a surrogate mother.

She has never been diagnosed with any condition to explain her overproducing, however, she explained she was well-hydrated, had a healthy diet and maintained a consistent pumping schedule.

“Alyse Ogletree has astounded and inspired us once again through her remarkable commitment to donate an incomprehensible amount of surplus breastmilk to fragile infants. Her life-saving efforts are an undeniable testament to her extraordinary generosity and compassion,” said Shaina Starks executive director of Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Texas.

The Sunday Times reported that Princes Charles had met Osama’s half-brother Bakr bin Laden and his brother Shafiq in London in 2013, two years after Osama was shot dead by US special forces at a compound near Islamabad in Pakistan.

The newspaper further claims that the money was accepted despite opposition from the senior royal’s closest advisers.

Bakr and Shafiq are related to Osama through their father Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden, a Yemeni-born billionaire. There is no suggestion that the brothers have ever sponsored or were involved in acts of terrorism.

Clarence House, however, strongly denied the claims of the newspaper report, saying that the decision to accept the donation was taken solely by the trustees of the foundation.

“The Prince of Wales’&nbsp;Charitable Fund has assured us that thorough due diligence was undertaken in accepting this donation,” a spokesperson from Clarence House told Sky News.

“The decision to accept was taken by the charity’s trustees alone and any attempt to characterise it otherwise is false,” the spokesperson added.

The Prince of Wales’&nbsp;Charitable Fund also came out with a strong statement and denied Charles of having been aware of the trustees accepting the money.

“The donation from Sheik Bakr bin Laden in 2013 was carefully considered by PWCF trustees at the time,” Sir Ian Cheshire, chairman of the Prince of Wales Charitable Foundation (PWCF), where the money was deposited, said in a statement:&nbsp;

“Due diligence was conducted, with information sought from a wide range of sources, including government. The decision to accept the donation was taken wholly by the trustees. Any attempt to suggest otherwise is misleading and inaccurate.”

The Prince of Wales’&nbsp;Charitable Fund was established in 1979. It awards grants to UK-registered non-profit organisations for projects in the UK, Commonwealth and other countries.

Bill Gates donates $20 billion to Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Investment Guru and fifth richest person in the world, Warren Buffett on Tuesday (June 14) donated about USD 4 billion to Bill &amp; Melinda Foundation Trust and four family charities.

Berkshire Hathaway Inc, which Buffett has run since 1965, said the donation comprises about 14.4 million of its Class B shares, whose closing price on Tuesday was $277.64.

Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will get eleven million shares while 1.1 million shares will go to Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation.

Another 770,000 shares will also go to each of three charities run by Buffett's children Howard, Susan and Peter: the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the Sherwood Foundation and the Novo Foundation.

Warren Buffett (91) has donated more than half of his Berkshire shares since 2006.&nbsp;

Despite the donations, Buffett still owns approximately 16% of Berkshire and controls about one-third of its voting power.

Both percentages have been fairly stable in recent years because Berkshire has aggressively repurchased its own stock.

Buffett has built Omaha, Nebraska-based Berkshire into a more than $600 billion conglomerate, owning dozens of businesses such as the BNSF railroad and Geico auto insurance, and stocks such as Apple Inc and Bank of America Corp.

He and Bill Gates also pioneered "The Giving Pledge," where more than 200 people like Michael Bloomberg, Larry Ellison, Carl Icahn, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg committed at least half their fortunes to philanthropy.

The Swiss tennis great Roger Federer has said he is 'horrified'&nbsp;and 'heartbroken'&nbsp;by the war in Ukraine, offering financial help for Ukrainian children.

Federer wrote on social media on Friday that his foundation will donate $500,000 "to establish access to continued schooling for Ukrainian children." 
 
"My family and I are horrified seeing pictures from Ukraine and heartbroken for the innocent people who have been so terribly affected," Federer wrote on Twitter. 
 
"We stand for peace. We will provide assistance to children from Ukraine who need care, about six million Ukrainian children are currently out of school. We know it's a very critical time to provide access to education and would like to support them to deal with this extremely traumatic experience."

US President Biden pledges to donate 500 million vaccines to 'low-income nations'

Indian business doyen Jamsetji Tata has emerged as the world's largest philanthropist in the last&nbsp;100 years, donating $102 billion, as per a report prepared by Hurun Research and EdelGive Foundation.

Jamsetji Tata is ahead of others like Bill Gates and his now-estranged wife Melinda who have donated $74.6 billion, Warren Buffet ($37.4 billion), George Soros ($34.8 billion) and John D Rockefeller ($26.8 billion), the list showed.

The other Indian on the list is Azim Premji of Wipro, who has virtually given his entire fortune of $22 billion for philanthropic causes.

The survey by Edel-Give Foundation and Hurun India, titled "Philanthropists of the Century," recognises 50 of the world's best philanthropists.

The United States comes in first with 39 persons, followed by the United Kingdom with 5, China with 3, and India with two.&nbsp;

Jamsetji Tata, who was born in Navsari, Gujarat, in 1839, made his fortune in the 1870s by founding the Central India Spinning Weaving and Manufacturing Company. 
In 1892, he established the JN Tata Endowment for higher education, which was the start of the Tata Trusts.&nbsp;

According to the report, Jamsetji Tata's overall charitable worth is made up of 66% of Tata Sons, entirely based on the valuation of listed firms.&nbsp;

Tata&nbsp;was able to attain the top rank in giving by donating two-thirds of its ownership to trusts that perform well in diverse sectors such as education and healthcare.&nbsp;

The other Indian on the list is Azim Premji of Wipro, who has virtually given his entire fortune of $22 billion for philanthropic causes. The survey by Edel-Give Foundation and Hurun India, titled "Philanthropists of the Century," recognises 50 of the world's best philanthropists. The United States comes in first with 39 persons, followed by the United Kingdom with 5, China with 3, and India with two. Jamsetji Tata, who was born in Navsari, Gujarat, in 1839, made his fortune in the 1870s by founding the Central India Spinning Weaving and Manufacturing Company. In 1892, he established the JN Tata Endowment for higher education, which was the start of the Tata Trusts. According to the report, Jamsetji Tata's overall charitable worth is made up of 66% of Tata Sons, entirely based on the valuation of listed firms. Tata was able to attain the top rank in giving by donating two-thirds of its ownership to trusts that perform well in diverse sectors such as education and healthcare.

Microblogging giant Twitter has donated USD 15 million to help address the COVID-19 crisis in India, which is battling the unprecedented second wave of the deadly pandemic.&nbsp;

Twitter CEO Jack Patrick Dorsey on Monday tweeted that the amount has been donated to three non-governmental organisations, Care, Aid India and Sewa International USA.&nbsp;

While CARE has been given USD 10 million, Aid India and Sewa International USA have received USD 2.5 million each.&nbsp;

"Sewa International is a Hindu faith-based, humanitarian, non-profit service organisation. This grant will support the procurement of lifesaving equipment such as oxygen concentrators, ventilators, BiPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure) and CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machines as part of Sewa International's 'Help India Defeat COVID-19' campaign’,” the San Francisco-based company said in a statement.&nbsp;

"Equipment will be distributed to government hospitals and COVID-19 care centers and hospitals," it said.&nbsp;

Reacting to the announcement, Sewa International's vice president for Marketing and Fund Development Sandeep Khadkekar thanked Dorsey for his generous donation, saying it is gratifying that Sewa's work has been recognised.&nbsp;

"We are a volunteer-driven non-profit organisation, and we believe in serving all, following the sacred Hindu benediction, 'Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah' -- 'May all be happy'," Khadkekar said.&nbsp;

With this, Houston-headquartered Sewa USA has so far raised USD 17.5 million towards its India COVID-19 relief efforts.&nbsp;

CARE is a leading humanitarian organisation fighting global poverty.&nbsp;

Twitter said the grant of USD 10 million will support CARE's urgent action to help address the deadly second wave of COVID-19 infections devastating India.&nbsp;

"Funds will be used to supplement government efforts by setting up temporary COVID-19 care centers; providing oxygen, PPE kits and other critically needed emergency supplies for frontline health workers; and addressing vaccine hesitancy and helping ensure that people get vaccinated, particularly in remote, marginalised communities in India," it said.&nbsp;

Association for India's Development (AID) is a volunteer movement promoting sustainable, equitable and just development.&nbsp;

AID partners with grassroots organisations in India on interconnected areas of education, health, agriculture, livelihoods, environment, and human rights, Twitter said.&nbsp;

"This grant will help under-resourced communities identify COVID symptoms, prevent spread, access care and treatment, benefit from medical equipment including oxygen, oximeters, thermometers, protective gear and vaccination, survive lockdowns, regain livelihoods and will strengthen hospitals and NGOs that serve rural and low-income communities," Twitter added.&nbsp;
