The woman's complaint plunged the 50-year-old's future as head of one of the most successful teams in Formula One history into serious doubt.

But having always categorically denied the allegations, which emerged in February, and then being cleared, Horner has carried on in post and remained a familiar figure on this season's Grand Prix circuit.

A statement given to The Times by Red Bull published Thursday said: "Earlier&nbsp;this year a complaint raised against Christian Horner was investigated.&nbsp;

"That complaint was dealt with through the company's grievance procedure by the appointment of an independent KC who dismissed the grievance.

"The complainant exercised the right to appeal, and the appeal was carried out by another independent KC.&nbsp;

"All stages of the appeal process have now been concluded, with the final outcome that the appeal is not upheld.&nbsp;

"The KC's conclusions have been accepted and adopted by Red Bull. The internal process has concluded."

The female employee concerned has been suspended on full pay since March.

In the lead-up to the race, Allison reckoned that RB20 and the big upgrade package attached to it had done more harm to the car that was touted vastly ahead of the pack at the start of the season.&nbsp;

“It does look as if their upgrade was a downgrade. So, fingers crossed that would really mess them up," said Allison.

"That [an upgrade not working] makes life hard, because the moment you stop trusting your tools, you have to backtrack, and you lose loads of time. Time is your biggest friend, losing it is your worst enemy," he added.&nbsp;

Quizzed if witnessing Red Bull struggle and fall back into the pack had given Mercedes a spark of excitement, Allison said: "Everyone always loves other people's misery in this game."

"As someone who loves the sport, it's definitely disappointing to see what's going on right now," the seven times world champion told reporters at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah. I think it's a really, really important time for the sport to really show and stick to its values, holding ourselves accountable for our actions. And it's not been handled very well to this point. "I hope it's not a year that continues to go on with this. But it highlights some of the issues we also have within the sport." Hamilton also recalled from personal experience what it was like to be at a team whose leader's position was being challenged. "I remember kind of when we were losing (McLaren boss) Ron (Dennis), for example, and the things that Ron was going through, and the steps that we had to take, it affected all of us," he said. "A leader is super-important because they set the tone, they make sure the team sticks to the core values of what the sport is about, and integrity."
