Before making an appearance at the film&nbsp;festival, the actress flaunted several custom-curated looks in the city of France and left no stone unturned to establish that she is a true blue fashionista.</p>

<p>Walking the red carpet at Cannes for one final time, the actress&nbsp;made heads turn in a custom-made Falguni and Shane Peacock gown on Thursday. The ensemble featured&nbsp;unconventionally beautiful cutouts and silhouettes. The look was inspired to give a red carpet gown a modern twist, with an edge to serve the maximum glamour perfectly suited for an international red carpet.</p>

<p>Johnny Depp opened up about his much-public legal battle against ex-wife Amber Heard during a press conference at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival 2023. Depp's film<em> Jeanne du Barry</em> was the opening film of this year's festival. It also marks Depp's comeback to the big screen after a few years of break owing to a troubled personal life which was fuelled by domestic violence claims by Heard&nbsp;and legal battles in the US and the UK.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />

During the press conference, Depp was asked if he had felt boycotted by the industry that made him a star. "Did I feel boycotted by Hollywood? Well, you’d have to not have a pulse to feel at that point like this was all just a weird joke," he said.&nbsp;<br />

"Of course, when you’re asked to resign from a film you’re doing because of something that’s merely a bunch of vowels and consonants floating in the air… Do I feel boycotted now? No, not at all. But I don’t feel boycotted because I don’t think about Hollywood. I don’t feel much further need for Hollywood — I don’t know about you."<br />

On the first full day of press in Cannes, Depp was noticeably absent from his cast and crew behind the podium, ready to field questions about the production. The moderator revealed Depp would be making an appearance, although he would be late.<br />
Depp made an appearance 45 minutes into the conversation and was greeted with applause. His film received a 7-minute applause on the opening night which brought tears to his eyes.&nbsp;<br />

While addressing the press, the actor stated that expressed that he's not interested in the media's interpretation of his return to the big screen. He also questioned why his latest release was being termed as a comeback.<br />

"I keep wondering about the word ‘comeback,’ because I didn’t go anywhere," Depp noted in the press conference. "I live about 45 minutes away."</p>

<p>"Maybe people stopped calling out of whatever their fear was at the time. But I didn’t go nowhere. I’ve been sitting around. ‘Comeback’ is almost like I’m going to come out and do a tap dance — dance my best and hope you approve. That’s the notion. It’s a bizarre mystery."</p>

<p>"It’s a very strange, funny time when everyone would love to be themselves, but they can’t because they must fall in line with the person in front of them," Depp said. "If you want to follow that line, be my guest. I’ll be on the other side."</p>

<p>The film was developed at ‘PJLF Three Rivers residency program - in Italy, with the prestigious ‘Cinema du Monde’ film fund backing it. The film was also part of the FBR section of the Viewing Room at NFDC’s Film Bazaar, 2022.</p>

<p>Kanu Behl, the writer-director of the film says, “<em>Agra</em> has been a deeply personal and difficult exploration for me, a deep dive into the inner entrails of desire and male sexual repression, and an attempt to understand the hoodoo. I’m overjoyed that the film is beginning its journey at Director’s Fortnight and I hope it opens a conversation around sexuality and the ‘homes’ we choose to live in, as it reaches a wider audience. ”</p>

<p>Actor Rahul Roy says, “I was so excited when I read the script of Agra because it spoke about things that had been knots within me for years. As we filmed it and I lived each day with my character, I burned and exhumed those knots and the journey became a transformative experience. <p><strong>The plot of Agra</strong><br />

The film narrates the story of Guru (25), a sexually repressed young boy, lives in a small house in Agra. He sleeps in the same room as his mother, and on the upper floor, his father lives with a mistress. In an already tiny house, the only available space is the terrace on the upper floor. Guru insists that he loves Mala, an imaginary girl, and will marry her and live with her in a room on the terrace just like his father does with his mistress.<br />

<em>Agra&nbsp;</em>then becomes the odyssey of a young Indian man’s sexual coming of age as he goes from courting an imaginary girl; to sex chatting with an unknown girl online; to finally bedding a 40-year-old cripple woman and ‘falling in love with her’, ending up having sex with for the first time.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Almodovar is a regular at Cannes, where he won best director in 1999 for <em>All About my Mother</em>&nbsp;and best screenplay for <em>Volver</em>&nbsp;in 2006. He presided over the jury in 2017.&nbsp;</p>
