Fish Riding was performed under the command of constable Pushpa with another rider and the double back riding was performed Under the command of constable Rajwinder Kaur with another rider.&nbsp;

Rakesh Ranjan Lal, Deputy Inspector General of the Border Security Force (BSF) in the Gokul Nagar sector of Tripura, has expressed concern over new ganja plantations in forest areas along India's border with Bangladesh.

According to a senior BSF official, the volume of new plantations is growing in lockstep with the BSF's efforts to discover, seize, and destroy them.&nbsp;

Lal said at a press conference at sector headquarters, "Ganja plantation is a major concern in the forest zone.We are putting forth our best effort.In the forest areas, our success rate in detecting and seizing Ganja is higher.At the same time, new plantations are being established at a rapid rate.As a result, we must establish a balance and confront the border issue."&nbsp;

On being asked whether the BSF is eager to devise any special technique to fight this problem, he said, "Definitely, we have enough technical backup to fight this out but I have reservations to divulge all these things in front of the press.

"He had also appreciated the role of the Bangladesh border`s guarding force in battling the border crimes and said that the relations between both the forces had been "excellent" so far.&nbsp;

"Both the forces have their own limitations but we work in close coordination to control border crimes", said Lal.

"In the year 2021, smuggled commodities like ganja, illegal syrup, narcotic drugs, animals, and other miscellaneous articles worth over Rs 270 million were confiscated," the BSF DIG stated, presenting details of the recently conducted operations.&nbsp;

"In the series of such operations, he said, acting on specific BSF intelligence input, on December 28, 2021 in the evening hours, BSF troops successfully seized 29,580 Yaba tablets of estimated market value of Rs 1,47,90,000 near Indo-Bangladesh Border Fence, behind Lucherbari school under Anandpur, Sonamura, of Sepahijala district.Besides that, he added, on the intervening night of December 28 and 29 BSF troops also succeeded in seizing various other contraband items having collective market value of Rs. 15,78,138.Apart from that, the BSF troops also detained four Bangladeshi nationals and an Indian tout from Srimantapur border outpost area.

"Further, on specific BSF intelligence input, troops of Srimantapur (BOP) foiled a trans-border infiltration attempt and apprehended four Bangladeshi Nationals along with an Indian tout. During preliminary questioning, they revealed their identity as Abdul Jalil, Helena Begum, Baby Akhtar, Md Jakharia, all residents of Surjya Nagar, under Bangladesh`s Commilla district. An Indian tout Rafikul Islam was also detained during the same operation. An FIR has been lodged and all the apprehended persons were handed over to the local police", he added.

Fresh ganja cultivation on forest land near Indo-Bangladesh border cause of concern: BSF

The Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday foiled a major bid by terrorists to smuggle in weapons from Pakistan along the International Border (IB) and seized a big cache of arms and ammunition in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, officials said.

"The BSF, Jammu today foiled a weapon smuggling attempt from across the International Border in Samba area and seized a big cache of arms and ammunition," BSF DIG S P S Sandhu said.

He further said the seizure by BSF troops included four pistols, eight pistol magazines and 232 rounds of ammunition.

It may be recalled that an arms consignment including one AK assault rifle, three magazines and 30 rounds believed to have been dropped by a drone from Pakistan had been recovered last Saturday by police near the International Border from Sounjana village of Phalain Mandal, about six km from the IB.

On September 27, BSF recovered four pistols, eight magazines, 100 rounds of ammunition, a packet of narcotics weighing about one kg along with fake Indian currency worth Rs 2,75,000, from the International Border in Akhnoor sector of Jammu district, officials said.

Two Pakistani intruders killed near Attari Border: BSF 

Pakistani troops used heavy artillery during Friday's unprovoked ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in several sectors of Jammu and Kashmir, causing loss of lives and huge damage to property on the Indian side, a top BSF officer said here on Sunday.

Five security forces personnel were among the 11 persons killed in multiple instances of ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the LoC between the Gurez and Uri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, even as the Indian Army caused extensive damage to Pakistan Army's infrastructure in retaliation.

Those killed in the Pakistani aggression include four army men, a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan and six civilians.

"Pakistan fired heavy artillery without any provocation, but the Army and the BSF fought with bravery, gave a befitting response to them and many defences (installations) of Pakistan were destroyed," Inspector General of BSF, Kashmir Rajesh Mishra said.

He was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the wreath-laying ceremony of BSF Sub-Inspector Rakesh Doval, who was killed in the Pakistani firing.

Mishra said the Pakistani firing caused the loss of lives and huge destruction of civilian property on the Indian side of the fence.

He said the slain BSF man deserves the highest tributes as he fought despite getting injured in the shelling.

Mishra said about 250-300 militants were ready at launchpads across the LoC to sneak into the Indian side.

"Security forces, including the BSF, have been successful in foiling their designs and will continue to do that," he said.

The BSF officer also said human rights organisations should take note of the killings of civilians and the damage caused to civilian properties in the intense shelling by Pakistan.

He was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the wreath-laying ceremony of BSF Sub-Inspector Rakesh Doval, who was killed in the Pakistani firing. Mishra said the Pakistani firing caused the loss of lives and huge destruction of civilian property on the Indian side of the fence. He said the slain BSF man deserves the highest tributes as he fought despite getting injured in the shelling. Mishra said about 250-300 militants were ready at launchpads across the LoC to sneak into the Indian side. "Security forces, including the BSF, have been successful in foiling their designs and will continue to do that," he said. The BSF officer also said human rights organisations should take note of the killings of civilians and the damage caused to civilian properties in the intense shelling by Pakistan.

The tunnel, as per sources, has a depth of about 25 feet at the opening and the border force has launched a mega search operation along the IB in this area to detect any other such clandestine structure that can aid infiltrators to cross over from the Pakistan side and also help in smuggling of arms and narcotics.

About 8-10 plastic sandbags that have 'Karachi and Shakargarh' written on them have been recovered from the opening of the tunnel and the bags have a manufacturing and expiry date embossed on them indicating they were manufactured recently, officials said.

The nearest Pakistani border post is about 400 meters from the tunnel, they said.

The force has been conducting a mega 'anti-tunnel drive' in the IB areas of Jammu and other places after five armed infiltrators were recently killed by it along this front in Punjab.

The entire BSF formation deployed across the 3,300 km International Border that runs along Jammu, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat is on extra alert as there are multiple intelligence inputs of terrorists trying to breach the IB and infiltrate into India, officials said.

The instrument will run on rechargeable batteries, the BSF has stated as the system has to be deployed in tough-to-access border areas that include dense forests, desert, rivers and others.

The system, the BSF specification said, should be capable to detect a lone suspicious flying object or group of UAVs (swarm attack) from a distance and should be capable to detect a target them within 10 seconds.?

It (system) should be capable to do a real-time scan, detection, track and neutralisation of flying objects like multi-copters, fixed-wing UAVs and radio-controlled UAVs in 360-degree environment, the October draft specifications said.

The force also desires that the prospective technology should have the "capability" to track multiple UAVs in a specified range and it should be able to neutralise the flying objects by jamming its radio and GPS (global positioning system) links simultaneously and also trigger signals to force-land the drone.

The Border Security Force (BSF) claimed that there is a substantial increase in the outflow of Bangladeshi migrants after the Citizenship Amendment Act was enacted.

A top official of the BSF’s South Bengal Frontier confirmed that after the Citizenship Amendment Act was passed, there had been an increase in the number of migrants’ crossing over to the Bangladesh border.

“There is a substantial increase in the outflow of Bangladeshi migrants. As much as 90 per cent of the total of 268 persons were apprehended while venturing into Bangladesh. But this is not an exodus, the numbers have been small so far,” said YB Khurania, IG, South Bengal Frontier, BSF.

On being quizzed on which part of the state with the porous border with Bangladesh accounted for the maximum number of outflow, Khurania said the Gojadanga area of North 24 Parganas district saw a maximum outflow of Bangladeshi migrants.

On the other hand, officials highlighted that these people were apprehended in the first month of the year alone.

Sources said, Bangladeshi nationals - who are living illegally in the country without any documents - &nbsp;fear that they may face action and are therefore compelled to flee to their country.

While the officials claimed that the numbers were substantially low, but sources in other frontiers of BSF like North Bengal Frontier and Guwahati also accounted for an increase in the outflow of Bangladeshi migrants after the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Figures released by South Bengal Frontier of BSF showed that a total of 308 persons were apprehended in the month of January, this year. As many as 29 persons were Indians, 268 persons were Bangladeshis and 11 persons were from Myanmar and Nigeria.

A decision was made on Monday where the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has granted 15 companies of paramilitary forces to Uttar Pradesh immediately which will stay in the state till November 18.

According to a document exclusively accessed by ANI, the 15 companies of paramilitary forces include three companies each of BSF, RAF, CISF, ITBP and SSB.

The official communication also says that 15 more companies of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) will reach Uttar Pradesh on November 11 to stay till November 18.

The central government has also granted an extension of stay till November 18 to ten companies of Rapid Action Force (RAF) which are already deployed in Uttar Pradesh.

"Total 40 companies which include 16 companies of RAF and six companies each of CISF, ITBP, SSB and BSF will be deployed in Uttar Pradesh till November 18," an official communication said.

These paramilitary companies will be deployed in 12 most sensitive districts and cities of the state.

Apart from Varanasi and Ayodhya paramilitary forces will be deployed in Kanpur, Aligarh, Lucknow, Azamgarh etc to maintain law and order situation and ensure normalcy during and after the Ayodhya verdict.

The local administration has been asked to make arrangements for the deployment of security force personnel.

The central government is aware that even the smallest of security-related incidents could spark reactions in other states hence there is close coordination between top security departments of both the centre and UP.

Strict instructions have been given right down to the police station level that no breach of government directives on security must be tolerated.
