Earlier, sources had told WION that&nbsp;six people had been killed and eight others were&nbsp;injured after a blast in an&nbsp;explosives-laden motorcycle when a military convoy was passing through an area in&nbsp;Faizabad city.&nbsp;

A report by Afghanistan International citing residents in the city said that the blast destroyed at least one Taliban ranger vehicle.&nbsp;

Zabihullah Amiri, head of the Taliban-run provincial government’s media department, said that an official delegation from Faizabad city had travelled to the two districts, held meetings and that the areas were now “under control”.

“They accepted the legitimate demands of the people, at the moment, there are no issues in Argo and Darayim districts,” he said.&nbsp;

He added, “The people and area are under the control of security forces, and the latest update is that people have committed to cooperating with security forces to eradicate poppy cultivation.”

Rescue 1122 Spokesperson Bilal Faizi confirmed that two people were killed and another one was injured, as reported by Dawn.

He said that the dead bodies and wounded were shifted to the Khyber Teaching Hospital.

“As per preliminary and unconfirmed reports, explosives were planted in a motorcycle parked in the area,” said the official, adding that the police have cordoned off the blast site and a rescue operation is underway.

As per SSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi, the blast was a ‘suicide’ attack. However, no militant group has till now claimed responsibility for the&nbsp;blast.

Speaking to the media, Peshawar Senior Superintendent of Police (Operation) Kashif Aftab Abbasi said officials of the Counter Terrorism Department as well as other law enforcement agencies reached the site and have been collecting evidence.

“We have found an almost mutilated body and a damaged motorcycle here,” Abbasi said, adding that an investigation is being carried out to understand the nature of the blast.

In the past year, there has been an increase in terror activities in Pakistan, especially in KP and Balochistan, after the ceasefire was ended by the banned militant Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan with the government in November 2022.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said a day earlier that 10 militants were killed in two different operations carried out by North Waziristan district's security forces.&nbsp;

The movements of the suspect in the blast at Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru's Whitefield area on March 1 have been revealed.&nbsp;According to media reports, the suspect was captured on CCTV footage at a bus stand in&nbsp;Ballari, about 309 kilometres from Bengaluru, the capital of India's southern Karnataka state.

The suspect was spotted on camera nearly eight hours after the tragic explosion in which about 10 people sustained injuries.&nbsp;

The investigation into the blast at Bengaluru's Rameshwaram Cafe was transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) by the Ministry of Home Affairs on March 4, following which the&nbsp;central counter-terrorism law enforcement agency&nbsp;detained four individuals.

These people, as per media reports, are associated with a Ballari-based module of the Islamic State terror group, or ISIS.&nbsp;

The suspects, identified as Minaj alias Md Sulaiman, Shayan Rahman alias Hussain, Syed Sameer, and Anas Iqbal Shaikh were previously apprehended during an NIA operation in December 2023.

<h2>Suspect's movement traced</h2>

The CCTV footage traced the suspect's journey from the blast site to Ballari. There, he is believed to have changed attire multiple times to evade any suspicion, media reports said citing sources.

Now, the authorities are investigating whether the suspect boarded buses to other destinations from Ballari, potentially towards coastal or northern border areas.

Reports citing sources also suggested that the suspect may have used day passes for Volvo city buses for transportation to and from the site of the attack.

The suspect was captured on CCTV footage taking a Volvo bus near the cafe, and changing his shirt for a T-shirt shortly afterward.

He discarded key evidence, a baseball cap, before boarding a state bus bound for Tumkur.

After several hours, he reappeared on CCTV at the Ballari bus stand. The suspect reportedly changed buses multiple times during his journey, suggesting meticulous planning in planting the bomb and making his escape.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on March 2 received emails containing threats of additional "bomb blasts" within the state.
