The Health Department officials along with the Food Safety Department, Panchayat authorities, and the police conducted an inspection of the eatery.&nbsp;

Health officials believe that the food poisoning was caused by mayonnaise which was served with a dish called “kuzhimanthi”.&nbsp;

Kuzhimanthi is a version of a Yemeni dish featuring flavoured rice and meat, sold in most of the non-vegetarian restaurants in Kerala.

The restaurant was closed after 178 people were diagnosed with food poisoning after eating the biryani-like dish at the eatery reportedly on Saturday (May 25) evening.&nbsp;

An officer from the Kaipamangalam police station told news agency PTI that the restaurant has been sealed since the incident. Meanwhile, the Panchayat officials have vowed to take strict action against the restaurant.&nbsp;

“Residents of Perinjanam and Kaypamangalam are in the hospital. They have been admitted to various hospitals in Kodungallur and Iringalakuda,” said Vineeta Mohandas, Panchayat President, as quoted by Times Now.&nbsp;

Media reports citing officials also said that the restaurant was operating under unsanitary conditions.&nbsp;

It was also revealed that a new record of 2.28 orders per second was set by Biryani. It was also noted by the food delivery application that 137 orders for biryani were delivered by the application every minute this year.

Swiggy also revealed that Indians were experimental in their choices and ordered dishes like - Mexican Bowl, Sushi, Italian Pasta, Spicy Ramen and Pizza, along with authentic Indian food. A lot of foreign food like Bibimbap (Korean) and Ravioli (Italian) also emerged as India's popular choices. 
 
This year, Samosa remained at the top of the 10 most ordered snacks, as it received 4 million orders. 
 
“The top 10 most ordered snacks on Swiggy are Samosa, Popcorn, Pav Bhaji, French Fries, Garlic Breadsticks, Hot wings, Taco, Classic Stuffed Garlic Bread, and Mingles Bucket,” Swiggy stated.

The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau&nbsp;has filed an FIR against JKFA officials for misappropriation of funds of around $57,000 received from the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC).

The initial enquiry conducted by the ACB shows the funds sanctioned by the government of India through JKSC&nbsp;to organise tournaments like Khelo India and Mufti Memorial Gold Cup were not utilised properly. A complaint was registered by a local Kashmiri Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat of Sopore alleging that funds allotted by JKSC and other government and semi-government agencies, for conducting football activities across J&amp;K were misused.&nbsp;

Biryani as refreshment for football players

“During the investigation, it was found that members of J&amp;K Football Association showed an amount of $54,000 paid to Mughal Darbar, Polo View Srinagar (a famous restaurant in Srinagar) for purchase of biryani as refreshment for the teams. But no such refreshment has ever been given to any team in any district of Kashmir province. '' said an ACB official. ''The bills raised and placed on record in this regard have been found to be fake.'' ACB stated in the FIR.

ACB during the probe also found out that the bills produced bore the same handwriting, thus being proved forged. The amount has been drawn by preparing false and fabricated bills by the J&amp;K Football Association members.&nbsp;

“Similarly, an amount of $1800&nbsp;was shown paid to Hindustan Photostat for various activities, which during inquiry also were found to be fake and prepared by resorting to forgery. An amount of $1300 was shown paid to Jan Hardware Tengpora by-pass Srinagar which was found non-existing,” the contents of the FIR read.

ACB has registered FIR 30/22 under Sections 5(1) (c), 5(1) (d) read with Section 5(2) of the JK PC Act Svt 2006 and Section 465, 467, 468, 471, and 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code in Police Station ACB, SBG Srinagar against JKFA officials including its president Zamir Thakur, treasurer S S Bunty, chief executive S A Hameed, and member Fayaz Ahmad besides others.

The American publication has issued a list of best restaurants in Hyderabad where people can get the authentic taste of the traditional Hyderabadi delicacy.&nbsp;

Shah Ghouse, Paradise, Shadab, Caf&eacute; Bahaar, Adaa (Taj Falaknuma) and The Spicy Venue were named as the top restaurants serving authentic Hyderabadi biryani.&nbsp;

Not only this, according to an online survey by Swiggy, the biryani emerges as the top choice among foodies when it comes to traditional preparations. The survey was conducted last year.

Other than Chicken Biryani, Masala Dosa, Butter Naan, Tandoori Roti and Butter Paneer also featured on the list.&nbsp;

Telangana State Hotels Association has felicitated the hotels for bagging the international accolade.&nbsp;
