A Norwegian linked to the detonation of communication devices used by Lebanese militant group Hezbollah has been reported missing, prompting authorities to issue an international arrest warrant, police said Thursday.

Oslo Police last week opened an investigation into a Norwegian man's alleged links to the blasts.

Hundreds of pagers and walkie-talkies detonated across Lebanon last week, killing at least 39 people and wounding nearly 3,000 in an attack widely blamed on Israel, which has refused to comment.&nbsp;

Bulgarian authorities opened an investigation after Hungarian website Telex reported that Norta Global -- a company registered in Bulgaria by a Norwegian -- had imported the devices and then delivered them to Hezbollah.&nbsp;

Bulgaria's National Security Agency (SANS) later said the company had nothing to do with the delivery of the exploding devices, but Oslo Police said they had opened a "preliminary investigation into the information that has emerged".

According to the data collected by the AUB researchers, pollution in Beirut has doubled since 2017. The PM2.5 level generally hovers around 60 micrograms a cubic metre, four times what the World Health Organization recommends for healthy breathing.

Beirut turns into cancer hotspot as Lebanon fails to curb use of diesel generators

Beirut airport was targetted by a cyberattack on Sunday (Jan 7), said Lebanon's state news agency, with local media sharing footage of the screen displays flashing anti-Hezbollah messages at its terminal.

"The cyberattack on the departure and arrival screens at the airport disrupted the BHS baggage inspection system," the National News Agency said.

The news agency further added that the authorities were attempting to restore the screens "and to maintain normal movement at the airport".

Since the Israel-Hamas conflict began on Oct 7, the Shiite Muslim movement Hezbollah and its arch-enemy Israel have engaged in almost daily cross-border gunfire, with the Lebanese group claiming it was operating in support of its Palestinian partner Hamas.

The message said the airport was "not the airport of Hezbollah and Iran", according to the reports.

"Hassan Nasrallah, no one will support you if you drag the country into war," it added, addressing the group's leader, also saying "We will not fight on behalf of anyone."

"You're going to blow up our airport by bringing in weapons. Let the airport be freed from the grip of the (Hezbollah) statelet," the airport message said.

The northern command oversees units which have exchanged fire with Hezbollah along Israeli border with Lebanon in the weeks since the Hamas terror attack of October 7.

Praising the military reservists, Netanyahu said they have shown "great spirit in their readiness for battle."

The little creature was trapped in the rain pipe last week in Beirut, Lebanon and was rescued by volunteers from the charity Animals Lebanon.

Small cameras were used to identify and track the exact location of the animal before pulling it out.

After being successfully pulled out, the crowd applauded the rescue workers and one said, 'I think we should call her Beirut!'

As per their official website, Animal Lebanon 'improves the welfare of animals through comprehensive national animal protection and welfare legislation.'

The charity group aims at enacting and enforcing comprehensive national animal protection and welfare legislation.

The group had established a model shelter for companion animals while providing nationwide assistance for cats and dogs in need.&nbsp;

A similar incident took place earlier this week in Nottinghamshire where firefighters rescued an eight-week-old kitten that was stuck in a drain pipe.

The crews from Edwinstowe in Nottinghamshire pulled out the stricken feline after being discovered at the Dukeries Complex in Boughton.

The team used small electric cutters to carefully rescue the young cat.

As per BBC, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said the kitten was now being looked after by the vets.

Watch manager Sean McCallum said: "We believe the kitten had been trapped in the drainpipe for a few days, so at only eight weeks old, he's a lucky little chap."

"Inspector Kate Burris from the RSPCA also attended the incident and provided some much-needed TLC, before taking him for veterinary care.

"We hear he's doing very well!"
