The film's director Sanjay Puran Singh has no issues with starrer Sushant Rajput and if anything, he only has words of praises for the actor and blames to the reshuffling of dates for it.

The makers of the film had already invested on it by Apollo 13's special effects supervisor, John Paimer to craft at 11-layer spacesuit for Sushant Singh Rajput. It’s not just us but the actor too was highly kicked about the film.

 
In fact, Sanjay supported Sushant efforts and told Mumbai mirror, &nbsp;“Chanda Mama Door Ke is a mammoth project, something Bollywood has never witnessed on screen before. Sushant gave his sweat and soul to it but back and forth of dates was frustrating for him since his calendar is choc-o-bloc. He’s under tremendous pressure from producers to release his dates for forthcoming projects, which I completely understand.” The director continued to appreciate the knowledge that Sushant has in the field. &nbsp;“Sushant’s passion for space and quantum physics is second to none. He’s also a perfectionist. Whatever he does is with 100 percent of his being, be it acting or direction. I’m certain that he will be as amazing a director as he’s an actor,” he added.

Recently, Sushant bought what he claims to be a piece of lunar land on the far side of the Moon, in a region called the Mare Muscoviense, or the “Sea of Muscovy”. The 32-year-old actor plans to develop his own space movie, according to a release.

He was then taken to the SMS stadium in a helicopter of the Indian Air Force where the prime minister is scheduled to address the rally at the 'Amroodon Ka Baagh'.

The security in the region has been beefed up ahead of his addressing.

CCTV cameras have been installed in sensitive areas and temporary control rooms have been set up to&nbsp;monitor any suspicious activity in the region.&nbsp;

PM Modi to lay foundation stone of 13 urban infrastructure projects in Rajasthan

The Manipur government has set up a committee to investigate the construction of border pillar by Myanmar close to the Indian territory.

According to reports, Myanmar authorities have constructed a border pillar at Kwatha in Tengnoupal district which is 3 km from India&nbsp;Myanmar border.

The international border between Myanmar and India is separated by "border pillars" and trees for years.

However, a recent border pillar constructed on June 22 at the Kwatha Khunou has been a cause of resentment for the locals residing in the region where&nbsp;they claim&nbsp;that the pillar was constructed inside the Indian territory.&nbsp;

Responding to the resentment Manipur chief minister&nbsp;N Biren Singh said that the area was agreed by both Indian and Myanmar officials.

He further stated that the border hasn’t been finalised yet and an investigation is on into the matter.&nbsp;

The CJI occupies the role of first among equals. He is empowered to exercise power in court, added the bench dismissing the petition filed by former law minister Shanti Bhushan.

This is the third time in eight months where the Supreme Court has reiterated that CJI is master of the roster.

In January, four judges J Chelameswar, Ranjan Gogoi, M B Lokur and Kurian Joseph had flagged certain problems, including the assigning of cases by the CJI, and said there were certain issues afflicting the country's highest court.

At the press conference, the four judges had said the situation in the top court was "not in order" and many "less than desirable" things have taken place.

The Supreme Court later adopted a roster system for the allocation of matters to judges with Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra deciding to keep to himself the public interest litigation (PIL) cases. The order of the CJI was made public on the official website of the apex court.

The 13-page notification said a roster of the work for fresh cases notified under the order of the Chief Justice of India will come into effect from February 5 till further orders.

The CJI occupies the role of first among equals. He is empowered to exercise power in court, the bench added.

For third time in 8 months, Supreme Court reiterates CJI is master of roster

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the ED are investigating how Karti Chidambaram allegedly managed to get a clearance from the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) in the Aircel-Maxis deal when his father was the Union Finance Minister in 2006.

Karti was arrested on February 28 from Chennai airport and is currently out on an anticipatory bail.

Aircel-Maxis Case: Delhi court to consider ED's charge sheet against Karti Chidambaram on July 31

"Status quo is not the answer," External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today sternly told Delhi's Regional Passport Office after it replied on Twitter to a passport applicant that there was "status quo" on her police clearance certificate.

The Indian woman had asked Swaraj, India's Consulate in Vancouver and the Regional Passport Office (RPO) Delhi on Twitter to look into the matter of her police clearance certificate (PCC) as her daughter's visa was expiring soon and she had to bring her to Canada from India.

Hours after Swaraj's stern message, RPO Delhi tweeted that the clearance had been sent to the Consulate General of India, Vancouver.

The woman had tweeted in June that more than three months had passed and still there was no response from RPO Delhi.

The RPO Delhi had then told her that PCC was under process. A few days later when she again asked about the progress in the case, RPO Delhi tweeted "status quo".

To this, Swaraj replied, "Status quo is not the answer. We must end this status quo. Please do the needful and help her."

It was not clear whether her application was for passport renewal or for a fresh passport.

Meanwhile, the minister also helped trace an Indian man who was rendered homeless in Saudi Arabia after losing employment, and said efforts were on to bring him back to India.

Swaraj's help was sought on Twitter in connection with a person named Narendra Kumar from Rajasthan, who had lost his employment and was rendered homeless.

Responding to the call for help, she said the labour officer of the Indian Embassy in Riyadh had spoken with Kumar.

Efforts were being made to bring him to India, Swaraj said, adding that she had asked the embassy to arrange for his boarding and lodging.

Swaraj also assured help to three persons of a family held up in London while coming from a Europe tour. She asked high commission officials to help them, saying in emergency cases there were no Saturdays or Sundays for Indian embassies.&nbsp;

Status quo is not the answer: Sushma Swaraj ticks off Delhi passport office

Rescue agencies on Friday managed to fish out the bodies of three teenagers who had drowned off the famed Mumbai Juhu Beach on Thursday evening, officials said here.

All residents of D&nbsp;N&nbsp;Nagar in Andheri west, they were identified as Fardeen Saudagar, Sohail S. Khan and Nazir Gazi, all aged 17, according to reports.

The bodies were recovered following aerial searches by an Indian Coast Guard helicopter on Friday.

However, another 17-year old boy Faisal Shaikh continues to be missing and is presumed drowned after over 24 hours as the search operations were called off at dusk Friday.

Their companion, Wasim S. Khan, 22, had been rescued Thursday by life guards posted on the beach who informed of the other four friends who were swept away by the huge waves in the Arabian Sea

They had gone for a swim but were trapped in the choppy sea waters, strong undercurrents and heavy winds at that time, opposite the Godrej Bungalow.

Since Thursday evening, braving the rough seas, divers and swimmers of multiple agencies including Indian Navy, the Coast Guard, and the Fire Brigade had launched a search, and managed to find three bodies so far.

Rescue agencies on Friday managed to fish out the bodies of three teenagers who had drowned off the famed Mumbai Juhu Beach on Thursday evening, officials said here. Deepika Padukone's 'lovers' Ranveer Singh, Vin Diesel to clash at the box-office!

The authorities today evacuated 326 Amarnath pilgrims, who were stranded at Panjtarni due to heavy rainfall, to the Baltal base camp.

"On the directions of Governor N N Vohra, chairman Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, to Shri Umang Narula, Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board, evacuation and rescue operations were launched to evacuate the stranded yatris," an official spokesperson said.?

He said the virtually non-stop rainfall over the past several days has adversely affected the track conditions, particularly on the Baltal-Sangam-Holy Cave route.&nbsp

Besides landslides at several places, the maximum disruption has been caused by shooting stones and the sinking of the track at certain locations, the spokesperson said.

"As directed by the governor, sick pilgrims as well as the aged and women yatris were amongst the first to be airlifted when three Indian Air Force MI-17 helicopters started operating sorties from Panjtarni to Baltal," he added.

The governor, accompanied by B B Vyas, Advisor to Governor, and Umang Narula, Chief Executive Officer, visited the Baltal, Panjtarni and Nunwan (Pahalgam) Yatra Camps for a first-hand assessment of the ground situation.

Later, Vohra convened an emergency meeting and issued a slew of directions with regard to the Amarnath Yatra.

He directed the BSNL to restore and immediately improve the quality of telecommunications at various yatra camps and enhance the band width by tomorrow.

The divisional commissioner was directed to keep a close liaison with the BSNL to ensure early restoration?representative of the Hindustan Petroleum Aviation was directed to provide refuelling facilities for the IAF choppers airlifting stranded passengers from Panjtarni chairman J&K Bank was directed to install micro ATMs at Panjtarni and make available cash to the stranded yatris early tomorrow morning.

The development commissioner roads and buildings Srinagar and chief engineer BRO were directed to initiate immediate measures to provide safety from rolling stones at the affected track portions between Rail Pathri and Brarimarg by pooling resources.&nbsp

The Delhi Police has decided to conduct the psychological autopsy to ascertain the psyche of a Burari-based family, whose 11 members were found dead under mysterious circumstances on July 1, said a senior police officer.

However, the doctor who will be doing it is yet to be decided, he said.

Psychological autopsy refers to mapping the psyche of the living family members and the mental health of the deceased.&nbsp

By going through the notes recovered from the spot that spoke about replicating 'badh tapasya', in which people get into a banyan tree-formation whose branches hang around, the expert will try and gain an insight into the psyche of the deceased, said the officer.

The notes say that doing this would make God happy.

Police are still awaiting the final postmortem report and the forensic report. They will also be sending the viscera of the bodies for forensic examination to ascertain whether the members were poisoned.

The registers recovered from the spot will be sent for handwriting anlaysis, even though the police are sure that one of the writers of those registers was 33-year-old Priyanka.

The initial autopsy report had said that all 11 members had died of hanging and there were no signs of struggle or scuffle.&nbsp

Ten of the 11 members of the deceased family were found hanging from an iron-mesh in the ceiling on Sunday, while the body of 77-year-old Narayan Devi, the head of the family, was lying on the floor in another room of the house.

Devi's daughter Pratibha (57), her two sons Bhavnesh (50) and Lalit (45) were also among the deceased. Bhavnesh's wife Savita (48) and their three children - Maneka (23), Neetu (25), and Dhirendra, aged 15, too were found dead. Lalit Bhatia's wife Tina (42) and their 15-year-old son Dushyant were also among those found dead. Pratibha's daughter Priyanka, who was engaged last month and would have married by the end of this year, was also found hanging.

Burari deaths: Police to go for psychological autopsy of deceased

The Army unearthed an arms dump in a forest area in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition including 11 IEDs, an Army officer said.

The recovery was made on&nbsp;Thursday night.

Besides the Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), the seizure included some Pakistani currency, two AK assault rifles, three pistols, three rounds of rocket propelled grenades (RPG) and four Chinese hand grenades, the officer said.

The recovery was made from a forest area near the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar sector during a search operation which was launched on specific information.

The arms were smuggled from across the border and dumped in the forest area for subsequent use by terrorists, the officer said and added that the recovery was a major success for security forces.

Two AK 56 rifles with 26 magazines and 1153 rounds, three pistols with two magazines and 63 rounds, one Pika magazine with 46 rounds, 11 IEDs fitted in tiffin boxes and 20 detonators were part of the arms dump.

Pakistani currency valuing Rs 16,500, a compass, two map sheets,?a bayonet, seven communication sets, a code sign and some other items were recovered during the operation, he said.

Terrorists today killed a policeman,&nbsp;Javid Ahmad Dar, after abducting him&nbsp;in Shopian in south Kashmir.

The sources added that PCC chief Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary strongly argued for a Left-Congress alliance, while the MPs and MLAs pitched for an alliance with the TMC.&nbsp;

The sources added that the party members supporting an alliance with the TMC hinted that they may chart a new course should the Congress decide to go with the Left.&nbsp;

In the last assembly elections, the Congress had come to an understanding with the Left but Mamta Banerjee's TMC swept the elections.&nbsp;

M Haq, Congress MLA from West Bengal and a secretary of the AICC, strongly pitched for an alliance with the TMC. He argued that the Left has no base left in the West Bengal. That it can galvanise support for the Congress in the rest of India but that it lies in tatters in its former stronghold of West Bengal.&nbsp;

When WION spoke to Haq, he said, "Going with Left would be suicide. They don't have any vote. One seat, one candidate was Mamata's idea. Left does not have any standing in West Bengal. Going with them would be akin to suicide."&nbsp;

The Congress leaders supporting the TMC say the Muslim vote has gone to the TMC while the Hindu vote is shifting to the BJP — and should the Congress go with the Left, it will end up with none.&nbsp;

The BJP has emerged as a cognisable force in West Bengal and like in Tripura, it could remove the Congress as a principal player from West Bengal.&nbsp;

Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary is of the view that the Congress' principal enemy is the TMC and the party cannot have an alliance with Mamat. He has been advocating his stand in public for the past one year.&nbsp;

The sources said Rahul Gandhi did not express his view on the matter to anyone. He heard out every functionary at the meeting.&nbsp;

When asked, Chaudhary said, "Mamta Banerjee has promoted BJP in the state. Congress is a victim of TMC's atrocity. BJP has emerged as a force because of her. How is an alliance possible? But final decision is with Congress President Rahul Gandhi. The view of the high command will matter."

Former union minister Deepa Das Munshi said that Congress should go it alone, only going in for an alliance if there is a Grand Alliance in the making. "If alliance has to take place, then it has to be now and not at the end. Congress needs to be strengthened at the grassroots," she said.&nbsp;

A portion of railing on the ramp in the underground Metro route in Jangpura station towards Lajpat Nagar elevated station fell on Thursday causing disruption in services.

The incident reportedly occurred due to the impact of wind and rain which lashed the national capital on Thursday afternoon.

The ramp fell on the tracks going towards Faridabad, however, there were no reports of any casualties.

The approaching metro train towards Lajpat Nagar was&nbsp;put on hold due to the obstruction. The passengers were taken safely to the Lajpat Nagar platform, reports said.

Authorities have made arrangements to remove the railing from the track. The Metro services on the route are now being run on alternate loops till the railing is removed, authorities said.

Kumaraswamy, in his budget presentation on Thursday, announced Rs 40-crore for a 300-bed super speciality hospital in Ramanagara, the Assembly constituency from where he won the May 12 state election. 
 
In the budget, he also announced a sum of Rs 200-crore for new hospitals to be built in Gadag, Koppal, Chamarajanagar, Hassan and Mysuru -- which lie in the old Mysuru region. 
 
Senior Congress leader HK&nbspPatil wrote to Kumaraswamy expressing displeasure over no new initiatives being announced for the northern Karnataka districts.

Karnataka budget neglects coastal, northern regions, says BJP

US President Donald Trump on Thursday announced the departure of his environment chief, Scott Pruitt, who faced ever-growing ethics scandals over his spending and conduct in office.

"I have accepted the resignation of Scott Pruitt as the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency," tweeted the president, ending months of speculation about the future of the man he had tasked with dismantling former president Barack Obama's green legacy.&nbsp;

"Within the Agency Scott has done an outstanding job, and I will always be thankful to him for this," added Trump.

Trump told journalists aboard Air Force One that there was "no final straw" that led to Pruitt's departure, and that the move -- which he said had been in the works for "a couple of days" -- was "very much up to him."

"He came to me and he said, 'I have such great confidence in the administration. I don't want to be a distraction.' And I think Scott felt that he was a distraction," said Trump.

Trump tweeted that Pruitt's deputy, the former coal lobbyist Andrew Wheeler, would take over Monday as acting head of the agency.

"He is a very environmental person. He's a big believer, and he's going to do a fantastic job," the president told journalists of Wheeler.

Pruitt, a former Oklahoma attorney general reported to have close ties to fossil fuel industries, had become the focus of multiple investigations in recent months, including by his own agency's inspector general, two other independent federal agencies and by Congress itself.&nbsp;

The list of accusations levelled against the 50-year-old EPA chief had grown almost too long to itemize.

All the charges share a common thread: he appears to have used the position he has held since February 2017 to enrich his and his own family's lifestyle in violation of federal law, while punishing subordinates who raised objections to his behaviour, or who failed to show sufficient loyalty to him.

It all began with a penchant for first-class and private air travel while on official business, a bill footed by the taxpayers, in contravention of usual government practice.&nbsp;

Then came reports of a large number of bodyguards he kept around him 24 hours a day, doubling the cost of his predecessors' security detail.

He also ordered the installation of a secure telephone cabin in his Washington office at the cost of $43,000, which critics found excessive.

Zealous lieutenant

And there was the question of his personal expenses. He rented an apartment linked to oil industry lobbyists in a pricey neighbourhood of the capital for a mere $50 a night, a sum he only paid on nights he actually slept there.

He also tasked members of his staff with personnel assignments, including finding him another apartment, getting his tickets to sporting events and trying to help his wife find a job.

Some of the tasks were outright bizarre, including a reported order to find and obtain a used Trump-brand mattress from a Trump hotel.

Despite the laundry list of ethics complaints putting him on thin ice, Pruitt was invited to and appeared at the White House Wednesday for Trump's Independence Day celebration, where he and other cabinet members received a shout-out from the president.

Pruitt made no mention of the various ethics complaints in his resignation letter, instead praising Trump for having "blessed me personally and enabled me to advance your agenda beyond what anyone anticipated."

But instead of taking responsibility, he pointed a finger at the pressure from critics including congressional Democrats.

"The unrelenting attacks on me personally, my family, are unprecedented and have taken a sizable toll on all of us," he wrote to Trump, in his letter posted by Fox News.

Trump's inner circle has had a revolving door since his first weeks in office when he sacked national security advisor Michael Flynn.&nbsp;

Cabinet members who resigned or were ousted include health secretary Tom Price, secretary of state Rex Tillerson, national security advisor HR McMaster and veterans affairs chief David Shulkin.

Until now, Trump had stood by Pruitt -- a zealous lieutenant who strongly defended his decision to quit the Paris climate accords -- praising his work to roll back Obama-era environmental regulations that the president says hinder economic growth.

But the tone changed in recent weeks.

Last month, while praising Pruitt's "fantastic job" at the EPA, the president admitted, "I'm not happy about certain things, I'll be honest."

Congressional Democrats have called for Pruitt's ouster for months, and on Thursday their reaction to his departure was swift.

Taking this cue after getting inspired by the film and its protagonist, a 20-year-old American youngster of Indian ( Telugu ) origin has landed straight in Siddapur village in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana and has started taking classes for seventh and eighth standard students of a state government run Zilla Parishad High School on developing different skills like problem solving, social values, teamwork, communication, etc since July 2.

Born in Germantown, Maryland, USA, Srujan Koneru is currently pursuing M.I.S ( Management Information System ) from Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania, USA. Born to Telugu parents, Srujan lost his mother one and a half years ago, who passed away due to pancreatic cancer. It was also his mother's wish that Srujan does something for Education back in India which has brought Srujan to Siddapur village.&nbsp;

An enterprising youngster, Srujan managed to get permission for his project "Empowerment Beyond Education'' from Telangana's Chief Secretary Mr.Shailendra Kumar Joshi, I.A.S., who then directed the Headmaster of ZPHS, Siddapur to facilitate Srujan in his endeavour.&nbsp;

Very humble and down to earth, Srujan doesn't flaunt American accent while preferring to speak in Telugu. Having come from a good family and good education background, it was a different experience for him when he landed in Siddapur's Zilla Parishad High School. Srujan immediately struck a chord with students who were curious to listen to him.

"The students were shy first but when I started addressing each of them with their names and spoke in Telugu they started opening up. I found them lacking in confidence, scared to ask questions and inhibition to speak in English," observes Srujan when he took first class for the seventh standard by giving them a questionnaire asking who was their role model.&nbsp;

"I was pleased when one of the students Mounika gave me a piece of paper wherein she stated her role model was a farmer and gave very good reasons as to why she feels so," discloses Srujan on how he broke ice with the students.

Without disturbing the regular academic classes at the school, Srujan is getting a couple of periods to start with. "It is interesting even for us to see a 20-year-old without any real experience of teaching connecting with our students so well. We too are observing as to how our students who are from a&nbsp;rural and poor background are trying to learn life aspects from Srujan,'' says Manivardhan Reddy, headmaster of Zilla Parishad High School, Siddapur.

"Learning, communicating in English is one of the biggest problems of our students given their backgrounds. I have seen many students wanting to talk to Srujan in English and on his part he too is encouraging them,'' says Bathini Venkatesh who teaches English language to students in this Telugu Medium school.

Now, Srujan gets to teach atlest two periods in a day and students eagerly wait for his class. ``Srujan Sir told us he has come from America to be with us for a month. The way he tells different things are very interesting to us. He constantly encourages us to ask questions,'' according to Gowri Pallavi of seventh standard.

Srujan will be going to this particular school till the end of July and after that he will be preparing a report to encourage Indian Americans back in America to help such poor and deserving students in their own way and give back something to their motherland.
