<p>July 31 saw a major communal clash break out between two major communities in Haryana’s Nuh district, the only Muslim-dominated district of the state.</p>

<h2><strong>Police statement</strong></h2>

<p>Narender Bijarniya, Nuh superintendent of police (SP), was quoted by Hindustan Times as saying that the police had ample evidence which indicated the involvement of the Rohingyas in the July 31 violence.</p>

<p>“We have identified a list of them who were involved in the violence and we have evidence for it and based on it the teams have arrested them,” he said.</p>

<h2><strong>NGO comes to Rohingyas’ defence</strong></h2>

<p>An official from the Rohingya Human Rights Initiative, a non-governmental organisation, claimed that most of the immigrants living in the refugee camp were “rickshaw pullers, ragpickers, and vegetable sellers,” adding that police raids were making them feel unsafe and harassed.</p>

<p>Pakistan Prime Minister <strong>Shehbaz Sharif </strong>on Thursday (August 3) told his coalition partners that the National Assembly (NA) would be dissolved on August 9, reported Geo News.</p>

<p>NA is the lower house of the Pakistani Parliament. Its dissolution is followed by the installation of a caretaker government and general elections within 60 days.</p>

<p>PM Shehbaz is expected to talk to the Leader of the Opposition Raja Riaz over the caretaker prime minister on Friday (August 4). He told his partners during a dinner that the talks with the opposition leader are expected to end within two to three days.</p>

<h2><strong>When will elections be held?</strong></h2>

<p>Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Gurugram) Siddhant Jain said, “We are constantly combing through social media for any inflammatory messages and have also asked people to avoid sharing any such content if they come across anything.”</p>

<p>Earlier on Thursday, a meeting was held between senior police officials from the Nuh district and leaders of the Muslim community.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Nuh Deputy Commissioner Prashant Panwar and Superintendent of Police Varun Singla sought cooperation from them to encourage their community members to not step out of their homes on Friday.</p>

We will strengthen our arrangements around 273 mosques in the district to ensure that no incident during or after the prayers takes place, and that everybody reaches home safely,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) Joy Tirkey was quoted as saying by the Hindu.</p>

<p>Apart from barley, there are a few remaining Australian goods, including wine, which still face heavy import duties in China.</p>

<p>"We have been clear that we expect a similar process to be followed to remove the duties on Australian wine," three Australian ministers said in a joint statement.</p>

<h2><strong>Experts also raise concerns</strong></h2>

<p>Experts say the decision by China would yield exciting results for the Australian barley market, as farmers expected more revenue but warn that farmers with malt-quality barley were likely to attract a premium over the risks involved.</p>

<p>"Market players who are going to be shipping barley to China may ask for a premium due to risks involved as there are going to be some concerns, if for example, China goes back on its decision," Rabobank senior grains analyst Dennis Voznesenski was quoted as saying by Reuters.</p>

<p>African rivalries played out in Europe as at least 50 people were injured and more than 100 detained in the Swedish capital Stockholm after a clash broke out between supporters and opponents of the Eritrean government.</p>

<p>Named as the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, this proposed law aims to grant significant decision-making authority to the Central government.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This authority encompasses the ability to exempt specific data-handling entities, such as startups, from certain regulations, if deemed necessary. Additionally, it permits the processing of children's data, provided the responsible entity demonstrates sufficient protective measures.</p>

<p>Under the proposed law,&nbsp;the government will also have the power to identify countries where the transfer of individuals' personal data is prohibited, a change from the previous bill draft that suggested allowing data transfers to "notified countries and territories."</p>

<h2><strong>Severe penalty of as much as $30 million</strong></h2>

<p>The bill mandates that the public must provide accurate personal information and refrain from impersonating others. Failure to adhere to these responsibilities may result in penalties for individuals, ranging up to $121 (10,000 Indian rupees).&nbsp;</p>

<p>For data-handling entities that violate the law, fines could be as high as $30 million (250 crore&nbsp;Indian rupees).</p>

<p>The bill outlines the provision of appealing decisions made by the data protection board to the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal within a 60-day timeframe.</p>
