The Queen Consort was travelling home from a holistic facility near Bengaluru. She was residing at Soukya, a wellness centre run by Dr Isaac Mathai, with some of her friends. The wellness centre offers various medical treatment programmes like meditation, homoeopathy and more, reported TOI.

As per reports, the British Airways plane landed safely even after the incident and everyone on board was able to leave without any harm. However, the&nbsp;bird strike could have been dangerous.

People Magazine reported that Camilla has been visiting this place for several years and enjoys eating vegetarian continental meals and juices.

The oldest prisoner at Guantanamo Bay prison, Saifullah Paracha has been released and sent back to Pakistan after nearly 20 years.&nbsp;

Pakistan's foreign ministry reportedly confirmed the news of the release. In a statement, the ministry said, "We are glad that a Pakistani citizen detained abroad is finally reunited with his family." Paracha returned to Pakistan on October 29.&nbsp;

Two years after the 11 September 2001 attacks on the US, Paracha, now 75, was detained on suspicion of financing&nbsp;the terrorist group al-Qaeda. Although he was only suspected, Paracha always insisted on being innocent and was never charged.&nbsp;

Paracha's lawyer, Clive Stafford-Smith, questioned why his release took so long despite being cleared for a release for over a year now.&nbsp;

In a conversation with BBC, Smith said, "He's been cleared for release [for] well over a year... he used to hum to me The Eagles song Hotel California, where you can [according to the lyrics] check out 'but you can never leave'."

Further adding, he said that Guantanamo is an embarrassment to the US. He said he still has four clients who are certified for release.&nbsp;

The authorities&nbsp;accused him of connecting with some of the senior members of the group including the chief leader Osama bin Laden and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.&nbsp;

After spending 14 months in US military prison in Afghanistan, he was sent to Guantanamo.&nbsp;

The United States had detained hundreds of individuals it characterised as illegal combatants.&nbsp;

Shanghai's Disneyland in a statement on Saturday (October 29) announced that it will operate at a reduced capacity to comply with Covid regulations, giving a hint of tightening controls across China as it attempts to stop the spread of the virus amongst people.&nbsp;

As per sources posted on the official website of the amusement park, it will impose a temporary reduction in staff members and will affect how several rides, restaurants, and various retail facilities operate.

The Islamabad police on Saturday (October 29), forbade hotels and guesthouses from accommodating long march participants led by former PM Imran Khan to pressurise administration for early general elections.

The police in its statement further continued that those who disobey will face harsh punishment.&nbsp;

Indian govt amends IT rules, warns social media firms against 'unlawful' content, misinformation

A report released on Friday (October 28) revealed that intensified heatwaves caused due to climate change has caused the world economy trillions of dollars over the past 30 years, with developing nations bearing the costs.&nbsp;

The report comes just days before the announcement of the COP27 climate summit in Egypt, where one of the main subjects to address is nations that are vulnerable to climate change. &nbsp;

Published in the journal Science Advances, the study also stated that unequal economic outcomes have also contributed to inequality around the world.&nbsp;

The study estimated that between 1992 to 2013, the cost of high heat cost the roughly global economy roughly $16 billion dollars.&nbsp;

As per the data, poorer countries have lost nearly 6.7 per cent of their yearly GDPs whereas the developed and rich countries have lost nearly 1.5 per cent.&nbsp;

The study estimated that between 1992 to 2013, the cost of high heat cost the roughly global economy roughly $16 billion dollars. As per the data, poorer countries have lost nearly 6.7 per cent of their yearly GDPs whereas the developed and rich countries have lost nearly 1.5 per cent. Mankin further said that the main idea for the study was to know the variation in extreme heat, second to know how human-caused warming. The study focused on five days annually but underestimated the true cost of climate change and heat. Mankin further stated that lowering carbon emissions is the most effective way to stop global warming, we need to make significant investments in mitigation and need to adapt to the climate effectively.
