In a shocking claim, a retired senior Pentagon official said that a UFO "mother ships"&nbsp;had been "releasing swarms of smaller craft" which has added more mystery to the intrusions over multiple US military bases.

The statement came at a time when the Air Force's 50-page records revealed about the provocative 'drone' incursions, which one general called "Close Encounters at Langley."

As per the report, last December, multiple noisy and small&nbsp;UFOs were spotted at dusk for nearly 17 nights "moving at rapid speeds" and displaying "flashing red, green, and white lights" which penetrated the highly restricted airspace which was above Langley Air Force Base in&nbsp;Virginia.

Speaking to DailyMail.com, senior ex-Pentagon&nbsp;security official Chris Mellon said that the event was "part of a much larger pattern affecting numerous national security installations."

In human biology, blood type has a significant role to play and is known to impact a person's well-being in various ways.&nbsp;

In a new study, unravelling one of the major impacts of blood type, it has been found that some blood types carry the increased risk of triggering an early stroke.

In biology, human blood types have been distinguished using the ABO blood group system, which categorises them as A, B, AB, and O blood types.

The blood types are given these labels on the basis of particular chemical components present in their red blood cells.

<h2>Blood type and its connection with stroke</h2>

In 2022, a detailed research venture looked into the connections between the chances of having an early stroke and the gene responsible for the A1 subgroup.

The data from 48 genetic studies, which included 17,000 stroke patients and nearly 600,000 non-stroke individuals—all ranging between the ages 18 and 59—was scrutinised by the researchers.

&nbsp;A genome-wide search was conducted by the researchers and two locations were found to be strongly associated with an earlier risk of stroke.&nbsp;

One of these locations was found to be coinciding with the site where the gene for blood type was present.

After the researchers closely looked at specific blood type genes, they found that those people whose genome had a version of the A group had a 16 per cent higher chance of suffering stroke before they turned 60 in comparison to other blood types.

Meanwhile, individuals who had a gene for group O1 were at 12 per cent lower stroke risk.&nbsp;

Senior author and vascular neurologist Steven Kittner from the&nbsp;University of Maryland shared these findings.

The experts emphasised that people with type A blood had extra stroke risk, however, it is not very high and they need to go through regular check-ups.

As per experts, the increased risk is likely related to components which are involved in blood clot&nbsp;formation, which include platelets, cells lining blood vessels, and other circulating proteins.

In the study, when people who suffered a stroke before 60 were compared to those who had one after that age, it was found that increased&nbsp;stroke risk&nbsp;with type A blood significantly declined in the late-onset stroke group.

In a new study, scientists have claimed that the Universe is only 27 billion years old and does not have any dark matter.&nbsp;

The study was conducted by Rajendra Gupta,&nbsp;professor of physics at the&nbsp;University of Ottawa. Gupta suggested that dark matter or dark energy might not be required to explain the workings of the universe.&nbsp;

The research of the professor is based on a model that combines two theories:&nbsp;“tired light” (TL) and covarying coupling constants (CCC).

The CCC theory challenges the idea that things like the&nbsp;speed of light&nbsp;or the charge of an electron are fundamental constants of nature that do not change.

However, if the CCC theory is right, it changes the understanding of everything&nbsp;that is present in the universe.

According to the “Tired Light” idea, light loses energy across long distances, which causes redder wavelengths and does not require the universe to expand.

When these two models are placed together, they provide a new framework for understanding&nbsp;cosmic phenomena.

<h2>Here's what the scientist&nbsp;suggests&nbsp;about dark matter and universe&nbsp;</h2>

According to the findings of Gupta, the new model changed the facts about the universe.

“The study’s findings confirm our previous work, which suggested that the universe is 26.7 billion years old, negating the necessity for dark matter’s existence,” Gupta explained

“Contrary to standard cosmological theories where the accelerated expansion of the universe is attributed to dark energy, our findings indicate that this expansion is due to the weakening forces of nature, not&nbsp;dark energy,” he added.

A major part of the research carried out by Gupta focused on “redshifts" in which light stretches to the red end of the spectrum&nbsp;while travelling through space.

After analysing data on the distribution of galaxies at low redshifts and the patterns seen in the early universe at high redshifts, he claimed that dark matter did not exist.

“There are several papers that question the existence of dark matter, but mine is the first one, to my knowledge, that eliminates its cosmological existence while being consistent with key cosmological observations that we have had time to confirm,” Gupta explained.

A techie took to Reddit to speak about a job interview in Bengaluru in which she was asked to use the programming language CSS to draw the Indian flag and the Ashok Chakra.

In her post, the techie said that she was interviewed for a job at a "small company" that was located close to her house.

"I have a total of 10 years of experience in frontend technologies like angular, javascript, typescript, HTML, CSS etc. Generally, at this experience level, people ask more real-life scenario-based questions or coding skills to test logical thinking or some advanced concepts," wrote the user, while explaining her expectations from the interview.

The user said that she was disappointed by the interviewer's demand to use CSS for drawing the Indian flag after asking her "theoretical questions" on CSS.

Scientists have created a fluid which when shot from a gadget becomes a strong&nbsp;sticky fibre that can lift very heavy objects. The innovation has been inspired by the superhero&nbsp;Spider-Man.

Researchers have tried to create strong fibres which can be used as tethers. These fibres have been inspired by silk secreted by spiders, moths and other insects.

However, researchers at Tufts University have stated that they found it challenging to develop such fibres with the elasticity, stiffness and adhesive properties of spider silk.

The study, which was called a new "accidental breakthrough", was published in Advanced Functional Materials.&nbsp;

“I was working on a project making extremely strong adhesives using&nbsp;silk fibroin&nbsp;and while I was cleaning my glassware with acetone, I noticed a web-like material forming on the bottom of the glass,” said study co-author Marco Lo Presti.

<h2>Here's how the adhesive was created</h2>

When the researchers initially tried to replicate spider threads, they saw that fibroin solutions created a semi-solid gel once it was exposed to chemicals like acetone or ethanol for several hours.

Using the chemical dopamine, the scientists were able to carry out a solidification process “almost immediately” to create high-tensile sticky fibres.

Scientists said that the dopamine mixture accelerated the transition of silk protein from liquid to solid by reducing water from it.

They also discovered that when a thin stream of the silk solution was surrounded by a layer of acetone and was shot through a special needle, it became a sticky solid.

After the evaporation of the acetone in the air, the fibre got attached to any kind of object it came in contact with.

Scientists said that when chitosan - a protein found in insect exoskeletons - was added to the fibres they became up to 200 times more tensile and the adhesiveness in chemicals like borate buffer increased by 18 times.

With the help of the bore of the needle, scientists were able to control the diameter of the fibres which range from the width of a human hair to about half a millimetre.

Scientists said that the fibres shot this way are able to pick up objects more than 80 times their weight under different conditions.

They carried out various tests in which the fibres picked up a “steel bolt, a laboratory tube floating on water, a scalpel partially buried in sand and a wood block from a distance of about 12 centimetres”.

“This process can be finely tuned to achieve a controlled fabrication of instantaneously formed adhesive hydrogel fibres. It’s really a superhero-inspired material," Dr Lo Presti said.

A very unique case was reported of a woman who purchased a box of tablets - which had tapeworm eggs filled into it - with the help of cryptocurrency.

Speaking about the case on the YouTube channel&nbsp;Chubbyemu, US-based cancer specialist and host Dr Bernard Hsu said that the woman - named as TE - decided to buy the eggs because she was not able to achieve her weight loss goals through diet and exercise.

He said that the woman found the pills through posts on social media which had used phrases like 'controversial' and 'forbidden' to lure consumers.

"TE was intrigued. A "forbidden" method is one that must be so good, and so powerful, that it’s the one true secret that she needs to know," said the doctors.

Initially, the woman got the results she had hoped for but she slowly started to suffer occasional stomach cramps. Her concerns grew when she felt weird sensations.

"She thought she could feel something flapping and slapping around her cheeks while she was sitting down. When she was&nbsp;about to flush, she looked back and saw some tan, rectangular pieces floating around in the bowl&nbsp;creeping out of the bulk mass," said the doctor.

After some weeks, she noticed a lump had formed under her chin and if it was pressed, TE would pass out. She also felt a lot of pressure in her skull and battled intense headaches, bloating and severe abdominal pain.&nbsp;

When she sought medical help, doctors performed various tests on her and after not being able to find anything unusual, gave her some medicines.

However, the medicines only gave her temporary relief from the headaches. She now had new bumps and a new problem.

"She would have periods in time where she’d suddenly wake up in the middle of the day and she couldn’t&nbsp;remember anything from the last few hours," explained Dr Hsu.

<h2>Woman develops multiple lesions due to tapeworm eggs</h2>

Because of this, the woman had to again return to the emergency department, and this time when the doctors checked her brain, they found multiple concerning lesions in it.

The doctors found more such lesions in her neck, face, tongue, and liver in other scans.&nbsp;

When doctors asked multiple questions to her about her diet and habits, the woman accepted that she had consumed tapeworm eggs.

The woman had bought tapeworms of two species of parasite - Taenia saginata and&nbsp;Taenia solium.

Taenia solium leads to the formation of hard nodule-like cysts and can harm sensitive tissues like the brain.&nbsp;

Dr Hsu said that it can also cause vision changes, personality shifts, and diminished cognitive function.

"In an able-bodied human, weight loss with diet and exercise is physically doable,&nbsp;and that has much less risk than letting extra organisms intentionally live inside of you," the doctor said.&nbsp;

The woman was given medicines for her infestation. She was also given steroids to decrease inflammation in her brain and clear the eggs from the body.&nbsp;

Three asteroids are being actively monitored by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) as they make their closest approach to Earth on Sunday (October 13).

Although none of these space rocks are posing any kind of immediate threat to Earth, their flyby will give scientists a rare research opportunity.

Scientists will be able to gather critical data regarding every asteroid's structure and behaviour.

<h2>All about the three asteroids</h2>

<h3>Asteroid 2024 SM4</h3>

Asteroid 2024 SM4 is an airplane-sized space rock which is approximately 170 feet wide. It will flyby Earth at a distance of 4,500,000 kilometres which is farther away than the Moon.

<h3>Asteroid 2024 TX5</h3>

Asteroid 2024 TX5 is a house-sized space rock which measures 58 feet in width. This asteroid will fly closer to Earth and will make its nearest approach at 2,830,000 kilometres.&nbsp;

<h3>Asteroid 2024 TA7</h3>

Asteroid 2024 TA7 is nearly 40 feet wide and will pass at just 328,000 kilometres from Earth.&nbsp;

Even though these asteroids won't pose any danger to Earth, they will help scientists unravel new mysteries about them.

Speaking to The New York Post about this encounter, chief editor of the Middle East Forum Jim Hanson said, “Democrats hold a dangerously mistaken notion that Iran is part of the solution — not the main problem in the Middle East. This leads them to outreach here in the U.S. with Muslims tied to that tyrannical theocracy like Mohammad Ali Elahi. Obama, Biden and Harris have all enabled and even funded their efforts.”

The experimental spaceplane of the US Space Force called X-37B is set to use the atmospheric drag of Earth for the first time to change its own orbit.&nbsp;

This spaceplane has been in space for more than 10 months. The X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle was launched by SpaceX’s&nbsp;Falcon Heavy rocket on December 29, 2023.&nbsp;

This is the seventh time the spaceplane has entered orbit and big plans have been made by the Space Force for the last leg of the journey of the test vehicle around the Earth.

The spaceplane will start a series of orbital manoeuvres called as aerobraking in which they use the drag of the atmosphere of Earth to change its orbit while trying to expend minimal fuel, announced the Space Force&nbsp;on Thursday (Oct 10).

US secretive spaceplane to try to change its orbit using Earth's atmosphere

A NASA filmmaker has claimed that evidence of intelligent alien life has been found by the telescopes on Earth and it will be released in less than a month.

Filmmaker Simon Holland is known to have worked on documentaries for the&nbsp;BBC and&nbsp;NASA-funded projects.&nbsp;

Speaking about the discovery, he said that an Oxford-backed program was looking for extraterrestrial signals and had been able to identify "non-human intelligence in our galaxy."

The signal, which was a five-hour-long burst of radio waves, looked like was generated from a region around Proxima Centauri which is a star that is 4.2 light-years away from Earth.

The team from Oxford stated that they have been analysing the signal but did not reveal its likely source.

"They are looking for details, hence the delay in publishing the news," said&nbsp;Holland, while speaking to DailyMail.com regarding the strange radio signal which has remained a hot debate since it was first detected on April 29, 2019.

YouTuber 'Prof Simon' Holland claimed that he had received confirmation of the discovery of proof of alien life from a source inside the $100 million nonprofit 'Breakthrough Listen'.&nbsp;

Holland said that the signal is currently in the "low information zone". "The technical hurdles faced are that the signal is very weak," he added.

<h2>Alien signal or just a 'false positive'?</h2>

Citing a source from the Oxford-led nonprofit project&nbsp;Breakthrough Listen, Holland said that the evidence supports the theory that the signal originated from an advanced alien species.

"My contact is a senior EU [European Union] radio telescope administrator," said Holland, while speaking to DailyMail.com.

In a new breakthrough, which may appear to have been inspired straight from the movie "Inception", scientists were able to establish two-way communication between two people through lucid dreaming for the first time.

The experiment was carried out by California-based startup REMspace which designs technology for lucid dreaming and enhancing sleep. Using the technology, scientists were able to exchange one message between the two humans when they were asleep.

The company made use of "specially designed equipment" which included a "server," an "apparatus," "Wifi" and "sensors," however, they did not reveal the exact technology used.&nbsp;

During the study, the participants were sleeping in separate homes when the REMspace researchers created a word through a unique language and beamed it between them.

Speaking about the experiment, REMspace CEO and founder Michael&nbsp;Raduga said, "Yesterday, communicating in dreams seemed like science fiction. Tomorrow, it will be so common we won't be able to imagine our lives without this technology."

"This opens the door to countless commercial applications, reshaping how we think about communication and interaction in the dream world," he added.

Scientists still need to review or replicate the technology. However, if this technology gets validated, it will become a major milestone for sleep research and can help with mental health treatment and skills training, said the REMspace.

REMspace had used "specially designed equipment" for exchanging a simple message between two individuals through lucid dreaming, stated the company.

<h2>Here's how the experiment was carried out</h2>

In the study, the two participants were made to sleep in separate homes and their brain waves were getting tracked by the apparatus remotely and the data was being fed into the server.

In the server, it was detected that one person had entered a lucid dream, created a random word using a special language and transmitted it through his earbuds.

He then repeated the same word in his dream and the response was recorded and stored in the server.

After eight minutes, the second participant got entry into a lucid dream.&nbsp;

The message stored by the first participant was transmitted by the server to her and the same was repeated by her when she woke up.
