“Was happy to find out that our brothers in America earn fair wages, and work in a system that is focused on the ‘Driver’s comfort’. The hardworking Truck drivers’ community in India deserves a life of dignity too, and an inclusive vision that takes them forward is bound to have a positive cascading effect on the economy of our entire country,” he further added.

The Congress leader also remarked that the truck drivers in India were struggling to make ends meet, whereas their American counterparts were receiving decent wages.

“Trucks in India have nothing to do with the comfort of drivers and in comparison, with India, safety in the US roads are much better,” Gandhi said.

“As compared to India we earn a lot and drivers here earn anywhere between $8-10k (Rs. 8-10 lakhs) every month. There is a lot of work here and people who don’t have an opportunity to study or invest in a business they can opt to be a truck driver in the US. We are happy with our families in the US as truck drivers which is difficult to comprehend in India,” the driver, Taljinder Singh, replied to Gandhi.

The Congress party released a statement saying that there were a lot of lessons that could be drawn from the American industry and incorporated in India.

"There are a lot of lessons we can draw from the American truck industry to plan a new vision for the truck industry here in India. Indian truck drivers are the lifeline of our logistics and deserve a life of dignity too," the statement said.

Seoul's spy agency on Wednesday revealed that North Korea, in an attempt to gather South Koreans' personal data, replicated the country's largest internet portal Naver in real-time. &nbsp;

This was part of a sophisticated phishing attack designed by Pyongyang to steal user information through several fake versions of the Naver website.

The agency further urged the residents to be cautious about wrong web addresses.

The multifarious services by Naver include Google-like maps, financial services similar to Apple Pay, and popular blogs and chat forums, which are used by South Koreans extensively on a&nbsp;day-to-day basis.

South Korea's National Intelligence Service said that Pyongyang had created the phishing site, naverportal.com, that replicated Naver's main page in order to hack South Koreans' valuable personal information such as IDs and passwords.

In a press release, the NIS asked South Koreans to be vigilant and check if the domain address of Naver is legitimate.

"As North Korea's hacking attack methods against our people are becoming more sophisticated, we ask people to be extra vigilant," NIS said in a statement, adding measures have been taken to block the phishing site from South Korean users.

"Please cease accessing it immediately if you spot a page that's not a standard Naver access domain URL," it said.

"If the domain address is not the legitimate Naver access domain ― www.naver.com ― such as www.naverportal.com, please immediately stop accessing it," the agency said.

"We are tracking the activities of the hacking group in cooperation with foreign agencies as the server is located overseas."

Naver also released a statement asking users to be extra cautious while operating the portal.

"We urge users to check if the address is the right one and pay extra attention when accessing Naver," the company said.

According to the experts, the fake Naver site did appear 'clumsy' but was 'good enough' to fool the ones who were not vigilant.

"By the nature of this kind of attack, South Koreans are at a disadvantage because we are on the receiving end," AFP quoted former national security official, Choi Gil-il as saying.

"We have to be constantly on guard to fend off cyber phishing."

As per the Yonhap news agency reports, North Korea's state-backed hacker group Kimsuky hacked into the intranet of the Seoul National University Hospital in the month of May and stole the personal data of about 800,000 patients and workers.

According to Seoul, Tokyo and Washington, last year, Pyongyang stole as much as $1.7 billion in cryptocurrency and backed its weapons programmes by collecting data through "malicious cyber activities".

"North Korea is carrying out omnidirectional cyberattacks, such as theft of cryptocurrency and hacking of sensitive information, all over the world," Seoul's foreign ministry said in a statement.&nbsp;

That activity "not only causes property damage to innocent individuals and companies but also poses a serious threat to the global IT ecosystem as a whole", it said.

"Twitter under Dorsey and his team were in repeated and continuous violations of India's&nbsp;laws. As a matter of fact, they were in non-compliance with law repeatedly from 2020 to 2022 and it was only June 2022 when they finally complied," said Chandrasekhar.&nbsp;

The minister added that the government was attempting to remove misinformation traversing the social media platform.&nbsp;

"During the protests in January 2021, there was a lot of misinformation and even reports of genocide which were definitely fake. GoI was obligated to remove misinformation from the platform because it had the potential to further inflame the situation based on fake news," he added.

Though previous epidemiological studies have found that consuming alcohol in light to moderate quantities can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, it isn't yet clear whether alcohol was the factor generating cardiovascular benefits, or if light/moderate drinkers’ health behaviours or socioeconomic status protected their hearts.&nbsp;

The research amassed and analysed data from more than 50,000 individuals enrolled in the Mass General Brigham Biobank with the study divided into two parts.

In its first part, the research evaluated the relationship between light to moderate alcohol consumption and cardiovascular events after adjusting for genetic, clinical, lifestyle and socioeconomic factors. The researchers found out what the previous studies showed, that alcohol if consumed in light to moderate quantities, did reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease events.

In the second part, they evaluated brain imaging of 754 individuals to find out the effect of light, and moderate alcohol consumption on resting stress-related neural network activity which showed reduced stress signalling in the amygdala, the region in the brain associated with stress responses.

“We found that the brain changes in light to moderate drinkers explained a significant portion of the protective cardiac effects,” Tawakol said.

“When the amygdala is too alert and vigilant, the sympathetic nervous system is heightened, which drives up blood pressure and increases heart rate, and triggers the release of inflammatory cells,” Tawakol said. “If the stress is chronic, the result is hypertension, increased inflammation, and a substantial risk of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.”

Moderate alcohol consumption could lower risk of stress-related cardiovascular problems, claims new study

Russia's FSB security service, on Tuesday, released a statement saying that it had arrested a group of ex-defence industry workers allegedly suspected of supplying sensitive military information to Ukraine. The security service added that it also suspects the captured former workers of planning sabotage attacks.

The FSB further accused the anonymous former workers of acting as spies for Ukrainian military intelligence and of also sharing information, crucial technical documents and models used in&nbsp;the manufacture of weapons systems and equipment for Russia's Air Force.

In a statement, the security service agency said that the same group was also planning strategies to detonate the railway lines in Kursk and Belgorod regions. These railway lines are used to supply equipment to the Russian forces fighting in Ukraine.&nbsp;

The FSB said it had opened criminal cases into the ex-workers on charges of committing state treason and preparing acts of sabotage.

"The suspects have been detained and are making confessions," Reuters quoted the FSB as saying.

"Plastic explosives with a total mass of more than four&nbsp;kg, four detonators, military design documentation and goods used for military purposes, as well as $150,000, have been seized," it said.&nbsp;

Russia's 'massive' missile attack overnight on the central Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih claimed the lives of at least 10 and wounded 28 others.

On Monday, Kyiv claimed that it had taken control of seven villages in eastern and southern Ukraine that were initially occupied by the Russian forces over the last week.

"Seven settlements were liberated," Deputy Defence Minister Ganna Malyar said on Telegram.

These are Lobkovo, Levadne and Novodarivka in the southern Zaporizhzhia region, she said.

Russia's FSB arrests former defence industry workers suspected of spying for Ukraine's military intelligence

A man from western Indian city of Mumbai, accused of brutally killing his live-in partner and chopping her body off in a bid to destroy the evidence, made a shocking claim during the interrogation, saying that he never had any physical relationship with his partner as he is HIV positive, as per an Indian Express report.

The 56-year-old man allegedly dismembered the woman's body in Mumbai's Mira Road area and further boiled the body parts in a pressure cooker for disposal.

Manoj Sane had been in a relationship with Saraswati Vaidya, 32, since 2014. They were staying at a rented apartment in Geeta Nagar Phase 7 for the past three years.&nbsp;

Sane told Mumbai police that he was diagnosed with HIV in the year 2008 and has since then been on medication. He said that he had met with an accident and suspects to have contracted HIV during that treatment.

<h2>The couple was married, says police</h2>

The police on Friday said that the three sisters of the deceased woman informed police that Manoj Sane and Saraswati Vaidya were not live-in partners but husband and wife.

The marriage was hidden from the world because of their age difference.

"During the investigation, we found out that the victim and accused were married and they had informed the victim's sisters also, they hid this from the others because of their age difference.", said DCP Jayant Bajbale.

John Kirby said that Russia was importing materials from Iran to build the drone factory which "could be fully operational early next year".

The White House released a satellite image of the location of the forthcoming plant in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, which was based some 900 kilometres (560 miles) east of Moscow.

"The Russia-Iran military partnership appears to be deepening," Kirby said in a statement, citing US intelligence information.

The White House said it would release a new government advisory to assist businesses and governments "to ensure they are not inadvertently contributing to Iran's (drone) programme".

According to Washington, Russia has received hundreds of attack drones and related equipment from Iran to aid Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.

As per US data, Kirby said, the drones "are built in Iran, shipped across the Caspian Sea and then used operationally by Russian forces against Ukraine."

"Russia has been using Iranian UAVs in recent weeks to strike Kyiv and terrorise the Ukrainian population," he added, referring to unmanned aerial vehicles, or drones.

Washington issued the alert on what it feels are Moscow's efforts to create Iranian drones itself.

"We have information that Russia is receiving materials from Iran needed to build a UAV manufacturing plant inside Russia," Kirby said.

According to the White House, in turn, Iran is seeking to purchase Su-35 fighter jets, attack helicopters, radars, and YAK-130 combat trainer aircraft from Russia.

"We will continue to impose sanctions on the actors involved in the transfer of Iranian military equipment to Russia for use in Ukraine," AFP quoted Kirby as saying.

Iran has repeatedly denied the allegations made by the United States of sending military supplies to Russia during its war against Ukraine.

The exhibition came 10 years after one of Hofman's air-filled birds first visited the city. The artist said that this new creation would bring 'double luck'.

However, explaining the reason behind the deflation, the organisers said that the move was intentional as the soaring temperature in the city had stretched the rubber material of the duck, which is why the precautionary measure was taken.&nbsp;

The organisers further added that the deflated duck will undergo repairs while the other bird will continue to be displayed as planned.&nbsp;

Ukraine’s nuclear energy agency has put the last operating reactor at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Station, which is deemed Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, into a "cold shutdown" as a precautionary move after the destruction of the Kakhovka dam, the agency said in a statement on Friday.

As per AP reports, five out of six reactors at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is occupied by Russian forces, are already in a cold shutdown state.

The Ukrainian nuclear power agency Energoatom&nbsp;released a statement on Friday saying that there was "no direct threat" to the Zaporizhzhia plant due to the breach of the Kakhovka dam, which has forced mass evacuations due to flooding and has also sharply reduced water levels in a reservoir used to help cool the facility.

Energoatom said that the last reactor was put into cold shutdown on Thursday because of several other&nbsp;factors, including shelling near the site which damaged the overhead lines connecting the plant to Ukraine's energy system.

<h2>Reservoir water still cooling Ukraine nuclear plant</h2>

The UN nuclear agency on Thursday said that Europe's largest atomic power plant is still receiving water from a dam after it was breached in the fighting in Ukraine.

"Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is continuing to pump cooling water from the Kakhovka reservoir," the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said in a statement.

Earlier, on Thursday, dam operator Ukrhydroenergo's chief said that the "water level at the reservoir had gone below the critical point of 12.7 metres (42 feet)".

"This means it could no longer supply the ponds at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station to cool the plant,"&nbsp;he said on Ukrainian television.

The IAEA said in a statement that its experts were informed that the plant had estimated after a review "that it should be able to pump water from the reservoir also after its level falls below 12.7 metres".

"So far, the results indicate that the pumps can likely still be operated even if the level drops to around 11 metres or possibly lower," the IAEA said.

The agency said the review included interviews with those "who have experience and expertise".&nbsp;

"In these difficult and challenging circumstances, this is providing some more time before possibly switching to alternative water supplies," AFP quoted IAEA head Rafael Grossi as saying.

"Nevertheless, the general nuclear safety and security situation remains very precarious and potentially dangerous," added Grossi, who plans to travel to the plant next week.

He said the extent of the damage remained unknown, and it was also not clear "when and at what level the reservoir will stabilise".
