Ayodhya Ram Mandir consecration: The Indian Space Research Organisation released images of the magnificent Ram temple at Lord Ram's birthplace in Ayodhya, as seen from space. The images were taken using India-made satellites, depicting a unique symbol of India's growing space power and cultural distinctiveness. The 2.7-acre Ram temple site can be seen in ISRO's satellite view. The Indian Space Research Organisation also used one of the Indian Remote Sensing series of satellites to show the enlarged view of satellites. The temple was captured on December 16, 2024. Dense fog over the temple town since then has made it difficult to get a clear view. What all does ISRO's satellite view show? The satellite images show the images of Dashrath Mahal and Sarayu River. PM Modi Walks Where Lord Ram’s Vanara Sena Built Ram Setu

PM Modi on Jan 21 reached Arichal Munai in Tamil Nadu’s Dhanushkodi, the place where the Ram Setu is said to have been built.

Lord Ram’s army built the Ram Setu while he was marching towards Lanka to rescue Goddess Sita from demon king Ravana’s captivity.

Modi’s visit came ahead of the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

The PM paid floral tributes at the spot where Lord Ram is believed to have engineered a bridge to reach Lanka.

Ram Setu (Adam’s Bridge) is a 48-km long chain of limestone shoals.

Ram Setu connects Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu to Mannar Island of Sri Lanka.

Modi's visit to the start point of Ram Setu came ahead of Rm temple consecration ceremony.

Maldives:14-year-old dies after President Muizzu 'denies approval' to use Indian plane for airlift

<p>Researchers at University College London’s Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience have shown how Artificial Intelligence can help explain the way memories enable humans to learn about the world, re-live old experiences, and construct new experiences for imagination and planning.</p>

<p>The study was published in Nature Human Behaviour journal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Recent advances in the generative networks used in AI show how information can be extracted from experience so that we can both recollect a specific experience and also flexibly imagine what new experiences might be like," the lead author Eleanor Spens, a doctoral student at University College London’s (UCL) Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience said in an official statement.</p>

<p>"We think of remembering as imagining the past based on concepts, combining some stored details with our expectations about what might have happened,” Spens said.</p>

<h2><strong>What the study is about?</strong></h2>

<p>The study focussed on networks representing the hippocampus and neocortex, crucial components of the brain that collaborate in&nbsp;memory, imagination, and planning.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Spens highlighted the parallel between remembering and imagining the past based on concepts, a cognitive process that combines stored details in the brain with expectations about what event might have occurred.</p>

<p><strong>Also read |&nbsp;<a href="https://www.wionews.com/science/brainoware-this-happened-when-scientists-combined-real-human-brain-tissue-with-electronics-668968">Brainoware: This happened when scientists combined real human brain tissue with electronics</a></strong></p>

<p>The AI model was exposed to 10,000 images of simple scenes, with the activity in the hippocampus region of the brain rapidly encoding each scene as it was experienced. This encoded information was then replayed to train the generative neural network in the neocortex.</p>

<p>The neocortical network learned to efficiently represent scenes conceptually.</p>

<p>This process mirrors exactly how humans pick up on patterns from past experiences to make predictions, a crucial skill for survival.</p>

<h2><strong>What does it mean?</strong>&nbsp;</h2>

<p>The study sheds light on the role of the hippocampus in encoding the meaning of new scenes, allowing it to focus on unique features that the neocortex cannot reproduce. This dynamic interaction explains how the neocortex gradually acquires conceptual knowledge and collaborates with the hippocampus to reconstruct events in our minds, facilitating the ability to "re-experience" past events.</p>

<p>Furthermore, the research unveils insights into how the brain generates new events during imagination and planning for the future. It shows why existing memories often exhibit "gist-like" distortions, wherein unique features are generalised and remembered as more similar to features in previous events.</p>

<h2><strong>What is the bottom line?</strong>&nbsp;</h2>

<p>This groundbreaking study not only deepens our understanding of the intricate interplay between memory and imagination but also highlights the potential of generative AI to unravel the mysteries of cognitive processes in the human brain.</p>

Researchers at University College London’s Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience have shown how Artificial Intelligence can help explain the way memories enable humans to learn about the world, re-live old experiences, and construct new experiences for imagination and planning. The study was published in Nature Human Behaviour journal. "Recent advances in the generative networks used in AI show how information can be extracted from experience so that we can both recollect a specific experience and also flexibly imagine what new experiences might be like," the lead author Eleanor Spens, a doctoral student at University College London’s (UCL) Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience said in an official statement. Also watch | Gravitas: Is AI going to replace your brain? × "We think of remembering as imagining the past based on concepts, combining some stored details with our expectations about what might have happened,” Spens said. What the study is about? The study focussed on networks representing the hippocampus and neocortex, crucial components of the brain that collaborate in memory, imagination, and planning. Spens highlighted the parallel between remembering and imagining the past based on concepts, a cognitive process that combines stored details in the brain with expectations about what event might have occurred. Also read | Brainoware: This happened when scientists combined real human brain tissue with electronics The AI model was exposed to 10,000 images of simple scenes, with the activity in the hippocampus region of the brain rapidly encoding each scene as it was experienced. This encoded information was then replayed to train the generative neural network in the neocortex. The neocortical network learned to efficiently represent scenes conceptually. This process mirrors exactly how humans pick up on patterns from past experiences to make predictions, a crucial skill for survival. What does it mean? The study sheds light on the role of the hippocampus in encoding the meaning of new scenes, allowing it to focus on unique features that the neocortex cannot reproduce. This dynamic interaction explains how the neocortex gradually acquires conceptual knowledge and collaborates with the hippocampus to reconstruct events in our minds, facilitating the ability to "re-experience" past events. Furthermore, the research unveils insights into how the brain generates new events during imagination and planning for the future. It shows why existing memories often exhibit "gist-like" distortions, wherein unique features are generalised and remembered as more similar to features in previous events. What is the bottom line? This groundbreaking study not only deepens our understanding of the intricate interplay between memory and imagination but also highlights the potential of generative AI to unravel the mysteries of cognitive processes in the human brain. Modern Family: Colombia Through Gloria’s Lens

Yes, crime and drugs make the cocktail you would have associated Colombia with. But Gloria had us believe, for all that and more, “Colombia is actually a pretty normal place.”

You could be any age and your husband could be much old either. Gloria normalised such kind of relationships.

That’s what Colombia looks like from Gloria’s lens. Remember the great fight she put on, for the sauce made from her grandmother’s recipe?

Colombians Can Shoot Like Nobody’s Business

Gloria constantly talks about goats, war and crime. But guess who’s the greatest sitcom shooter out there if not Gloria.

PM Modi at Tamil Nadu’s Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple

Dedicated to the god Ranganatha, a form of Lord Vishnu, the temple is the first among the 108 Divya Desams.

Ranganathaswamy is among the largest temple complexes in India and the biggest functioning Hindu temple in the world.

The Sirtfood Diet focuses on foods rich in sirtuin-activating compounds, believed to boost metabolism and promote cellular health.

The DASH diet (The Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) emphasises consuming fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products to reduce hypertension.
