Delhi Police nab India's most wanted ISIS terror suspect Shahnawaz alias Uzzama

Journalist Tavleen Singh reveals how a cozy and influential set of Delhi’s society remains unaffected by India’s state of affairs. A remarkable memoir, Durbar is coloured with political campaigns and society dinners and consists of more than a few rewarding truths.

How Prime Ministers Decide, by Neerja Chowdhury

The book is topping the bestsellers’ chart already. Journalist Neerja Chowdhury describes the decision-making at the top of Indian politics by authoring revealing chapters on Indian prime ministers since Indira Gandhi to Dr Manmohan Singh.

Author and investor Ruchir Sharma delves into a number of election trails he had for 25 years till 2019, describing the festive moorings and often dismal reflections of Indian polity during elections.

The book has held on as classic since it was first published in 2007 and has been updated with multiple editions. An acclaimed account of the pains and gains of the world’s largest democracy, the book is one of the finest accounts of contemporary Indian politics since 1947.

The Accidental Prime Minister, by Sanjaya Baru

Critics, especially journalists, have said that this book should not have been written. Because, they say, the sheer impact of the book on public opinion dwindled the ability of a politician to trust a journalist. A media adviser to PM Dr Manmohan Singh, Baru’s book contains explosive details of the functioning of Prime Minister’s Office under Dr Singh.

The driving alley of democracy goes through the road of politics. Here are the books that take you through the milestones of world's largest democracy

A senior officer of central India's Madhya Pradesh police said that those people who did not help the 12-year-old girl when she went door-to-door crying for help after she was sexually assaulted and left naked and bleeding, might face charges under child sex abuse laws. They might face charges under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 for failing to report or register the commission of a crime, reports said. He should be hanged: Rape accused's father Bharat Soni, an auto rickshaw driver, was arrested in the case on Thursday (Sept 28). The Madhya Pradesh police said it took an extraordinary effort to crack the case. The effort consisted of interrogating hundreds of people, and scanning footage from over 700 CCTV cameras before they found links to the main accused.
