What Makes PM Modi Most Popular Indian Leader

.Welfare programs related to LPG connections and rural household toilets have been targeted at women. This, Modi has successively captilised upon, election-after-election

From X to Meta Platforms, tens of millions are just a tap away for the leader of the world's biggest democracy.

Modi has harnessed India's growing geopolitical clout to assert a kind of statesmanship unique to him. Psephologists say it appeals to urban voters.

From Yoga to Ram Mandir to visits to religious shrines, Modi's cultural rootedness — often described as Hindutva belligerence in the West — has catapulted voters towards him.

Under Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party has expanded to add tens of millions new members. His hold as sole face of the party fails to slip through the moments of few electoral lows that the BJP has seen in past few years.

With an ability to connect with women voters, massive social media outreach and more, Modi remains most popular Indian leader

Citizens of the climate-threatened Pacific nation Tuvalu will get "special rights" to live and work in Australia under a landmark treaty unveiled by the two countries on Friday.

Unveiling a compact that includes freedom of movement and defence guarantees, prime ministers Anthony Albanese and Kausea Natano said the two nations would work to tackle climate change, while preparing for the worst.

The treaty would also commit Australia to defend Tuvalu in the case of foreign invasion or natural disaster.

Tuvalu, with a population of just 11,000 people, is among the world's most vulnerable nations due to rising sea levels.

"We were going to Rath town in Uttar Pradesh for Diwali. My wife was carrying Deepali and I was holding our son. My eldest daughter Alka (7) was sitting beside us. Suddenly, smoke filled the bus, and we could feel the heat. Within a few seconds, I saw people trying to break windows. I broke the windowpane with our tiffin box. I called out to people outside to catch my son and threw him out of the window," said Dinesh, who managed to run out of the bus with Alka, according to The Times of India.
