<p>“Any actor that steps into that role knows they have big shoes to fill. Based on the trailer alone, it looks like Ana was a great casting choice as she captures Marilyn’s glamour, humanity and vulnerability. We can’t wait to see the film in its entirety!” he added.</p>

<p>Most of the complaints about de Armas’ casting noted that she maintained her Cuban accent, which is not how Monroe sounded. It is to be noted that, ‘Blonde’ is not a biopic of Monroe but a fictionalised portrait and that the film was not completed with the cooperation of Monroe’s estate.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After a decade’s attempt, director Dominik selected Armas for the lead part in ‘Blonde’. The movie, which has been in development since 2010, reportedly had Jessica Chastain and Naomi Watts attached to its name, and in 2019, de Armas was selected.<br />

Dominik previously revealed that after just one audition, he was certain that Cuban actress de Armas would be “the one” to play Monroe. Later, De Armas admitted to Vanity Fair that the chance to portray the legendary actress was a challenge.&nbsp;</p>

<p>She continued, “The producers. The money people. I always have people I needed to convince. But I knew I could do it. Playing Marilyn was groundbreaking. A Cuban playing Marilyn Monroe. I wanted it so badly. You see that famous photo of her and she is smiling in the moment, but that’s just a slice of what she was really going through at the time.”</p>

<p>Notably, the IT department conducted major raids at the residences and offices of prominent financiers in the Tamil film industry on February 5, 2020. The tax department had raided around 38 prominent producers and actors in the search operation of 2020 which included Super Star Vijay.</p>

<p>Hardik Pandya was also under the scanner for his controversial tweet about&nbsp;Dr BR Ambedkar. The cricketer had once tweeted, “Which Ambedkar? The one who drafted a cross law and constitution or the one who spread the disease called reservation in the country.”</p>

<p>Coming back to the 'Koffee with Karan' episode,&nbsp;Hardik Pandya's comments on women left many outraged and as snippets of the episode started doing rounds on social media, many bashed the cricketer for his comments. He later&nbsp;issued an apology on Twitter.&nbsp;</p>

Court grants KJo relief for controversial 2018 'Koffee With Karan' episode along with Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul

<p>South star Chiranjeevi, who has been actively promoting Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in Hyderabad and also unveiled the film’s Telugu trailer, recently sat down to talk about the movie with its lead star, along with Naga Chaitanya and Nagarjuna. A promo clip from the promotional interview for the film recently surfaced online.</p>

<p>In it, when Aamir is questioned by Nagarjuna about how he managed to get into the various looks of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, Aamir replied, "This transformation has been done by the VFX people."</p>

<p>However, when Aamir made the statement, Chiranjeevi did not believe him and playfully asked that this part of the interview should be edited out. He said, "Edit this part out. I won’t believe."</p>

<p>A few days ago, the film’s lead star, Aamir, organised a special screening for Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Sukumar, and SS Rajamouli in Hyderabad.</p>

<p>'Aquaman' actress Amber Heard, who lost the six-week-long defamation trial against her ex-husband Johnny Depp in June, has reportedly sold her Yucca Valley, California home for a whopping amount of $1.05 million.&nbsp;Heard bought the property through an anonymous trust for $570,000 in 2019, according to Zillow property records.</p>

<p>If reports are anything to go by then Heard profited by 75 per cent in 3 years by selling her&nbsp;Southern California property.</p>

<p>The news was first reported by TMZ. The portal claimed to have spoken to the new&nbsp;owner of the house. According to them,&nbsp;the new owner was in touch with Heard’s team but never spoke to her directly.</p>

<p>Heard has already filed the notice to appeal the jury's decision in the defamation case.&nbsp;The actress' legal team submitted a two-page document to the Virginia Court of Appeals in Fairfax, Virginia on 21st July, Thursday.</p>

<p>After a six-week-long dramatic trial, Johnny Depp was awarded $10.35 million in damages while Heard won one of her three countersuits claims. She was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages.</p>

<p>After losing the case, Heard penned a long note on social media to talk about the judgement. "The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I'm heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband," she wrote.</p>

<p>"I’m even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women. It is a setback. It sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated. It sets back the idea that violence against women is to be taken seriously," Heard added.</p>

<p>Channel 5 owner recently shared that the viewing figures on the finale night were their highest since its first episode went live in 2008. And, said that it is "the end of an era".</p>

<p>Ben Frow, who controls Channel 5, told the Guardian, "I suspect there wasn’t a dry eye from the viewers as Neighbours bowed out on a high last night. We wanted to give it a fitting, respectful ending and I hope our night devoted to Neighbours achieved that."</p>

<p>"Last night truly is the end of an era. The response from viewers overnight has been very moving, even if they wished the ending didn’t have to come."</p>
