<p>Sacheen Littlefeather, the Native American actress and civil rights activist who famously declined Marlon Brando's 1973 Best Actor Academy Award, has died. Littlefeather, 75, breathed her last on Sunday at her home in the Northern California city of Novato surrounded by her loved ones, said a statement from her caretaker.</p>

<p>In March 2018, Littlefeather had been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, and according to reports, it had metastasized in recent years.</p>

<p>The sad news of the former actress' demise was also shared by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Sunday night via a social media post. The Academy had reconciled with Littlefeather in June and had even hosted a celebration in her honour just two weeks ago.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was last seen in 'Laal Singh Chaddha', recently took a flight to London to begin filming for her next film with renowned director Hansal Mehta. Her second child, Jeh, and a nanny accompanied her to the new city.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The untitled film, helmed by the&nbsp;'Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story' fame, will be shot entirely in London in two schedules. According to reports, Kareena will return to India for a few days to celebrate Diwali with her family, before taking off again for the second schedule.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Hansal Mehta directorial is being bankrolled&nbsp;by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures and will mark Kareena's second collaboration with the production house.</p>

We’ve been shunned and silenced, but thanks to the scarifies and tenacity of so many selfless women, we are in a place today where we can come together and work collectively to right the wrongs. This was a key take away from the conversation I had the honour to moderate with @vp, Kamala Harris at the Women’s Leadership Forum conference in Washington DC last night." Encouraging Americans to step out of their homes and cast their votes from November 8th, Chopra wrote, "Over the last two years, humanity has experienced some of the biggest challenges that we will see in our lifetime. We are faced with an urgent need for stability and progress, and for America that starts at the polls on November 8th. Everyone has a role to play towards that… to be part of the civic process and to exercise the right to vote, especially women because we need to be actively involved in ensuring our rights are being taken care of."
