Trump to enact extreme immigration crackdown with large-scale detention camps, mass deportations

<p>A tunnel collapsed in the Uttarkashi district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand on Saturday (Nov 11) night leaving at least 36&nbsp;people trapped. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of the dozens of workers who are believed to be inside the under-construction structure.</p>

<p>However, no casualties have been reported as of now.&nbsp;</p>

<p>At approximately 4 am, the 150-metre portion of the four-and-a-half-kilometre tunnel collapsed.&nbsp;The tunnel links Silkyara to Dandalgaon on the Brahmakhal-Yamunotri National Highway.&nbsp;Emergency response teams from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) have been swiftly deployed to the site upon the direction of SDRF Commander Manikant Mishra&nbsp;under the leadership of Inspector Jagdamba Vijalwan.&nbsp;</p>

Emergency response teams from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) have been swiftly deployed to the site upon the direction of SDRF Commander Manikant Mishra under the leadership of Inspector Jagdamba Vijalwan. The rescue efforts are currently in progress. The rescue work is undergoing in coordination with other rescue units. DM and SP of Uttarkashi district also reached the spot along with police, revenue teams. Reports citing authorities indicated there is a necessity to clear about 200 metres of the slab for the tunnel's reopening and rescue of the trapped workers inside it. The tunnel intended to link Silkyara to Dandalgaon in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. It is part of the Char Dham Road Project, the foundation stone of which was laid by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2016. The project was initially slated for completion by March 2020, but the deadline has been extended to December 2024. <p>The satellite plays a crucial role as methane is an invisible greenhouse gas challenging to detect. It is because of its leakage from various small sources like pipelines, farms, and&nbsp;drill sites.&nbsp;</p>

<p>With the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, the earth's atmosphere traps heat and contributes to the greenhouse effect, which leads to global warming and climate change.</p>

<p>Existing satellites monitoring carbon dioxide in the atmosphere do not focus on facility-level emissions, according to GHGSat.</p>

<p>Stephane Germain, CEO of Montreal-based GHGSat, highlighted that the data collected by Vanguard will validate common practices of monitoring and measuring carbon dioxide emissions.</p>

<p>"Often what we find is a mix of direct measurements and estimates - therefore having a direct measurement of the entire facility from a satellite will act as a validation," Germain reportedly said during an interview.</p>

<p>Leading global healthcare firm Novo Nordisk on Saturday (Nov 12) said that the cardiovascular benefits of its immensely popular obesity treatment, Wegovy, were not solely attributable to the process of its weight loss process.</p>

<p>The study was presented at the American Heart Association annual scientific meeting in Philadelphia which saw the presence of many experts from the medical field.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Published in the New England Journal of Medicine, the findings revealed that Wegovy, recognised chemically as semaglutide, has additional positive cardiovascular effects that emerged before the patients even began to shed weight.</p>

<p>Novo said that this implied that the heart benefits were not just associated with weight loss.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Dr. Chad Weldy, a cardiologist at Stanford University, said that the trial focused on how semaglutide might prevent heart disease from worsening and not how it can be prevented.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Considering the extensive 17,604-patient trial, the study should make doctors contemplate about who can be prescribed Wegovy.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Anyone who has had a heart attack or obstructive coronary disease and has a body mass index of more than 27 fits in with this study, which is a very large patient population,” he said.</p>

<p>Examining overweight and obese patients with preexisting heart disease but without diabetes, the study revealed that Wegovy led to a 28 per cent reduction in non-fatal heart attacks, a 7 per cent decrease in non-fatal strokes, and a 15 percent drop in heart-related deaths compared to the placebo.&nbsp;</p>

<p>There are however several risk factors associated with the obesity treatment which include inflammation, blood sugar control, and blood pressure.&nbsp;</p>
