Additionally, between 51 and 100 is&nbsp;"satisfactory", 101 and 200 "moderate", 201 and 300 "poor", 301 and 400 "very poor", 401 and 450 "severe", and above 450 is "severe-plus" category, representing the highest level of pollution on the measuring scale.&nbsp;</p>

<p>With winter temperatures continuing to soar, the pollution levels are also rising. After the rains on December 3, there was a brief improvement in pollution levels in parts of Delhi. However, since then the AQI has remained in the "very poor" or "severe" category.&nbsp;</p>

<p>December 13 was the 7th straight day when the AQI was on the&nbsp;"very poor" scale. It was 355, which is "very poor", on Tuesday (December 12).&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Chilling temperatures and calm winds</strong></h2>

<p>The temperatures in Delhi have been gradually decreasing. Cold temperatures compounded with calm winds have been a contributing factor in the deteriorating air quality in the capital city.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 6.5°C on December 11. This was a further drop from the 8.3 degrees Celsius which was recorded on Sunday (Dec 10). The temperature was 9.2°C on Saturday (Dec 9).&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per Met officials quoted by media reports, the wind speeds are expected to pick up on Thursday (Dec 14) to 20km/hour. This, according to the officials, will help in containing the deteriorating air quality.</p>

<p>Impact craters are scars on the surfaces of celestial bodies and they come in diverse shapes throughout the solar system. However, the craters on Jupiter's moon and those on our planet Earth are not similar as many have different shapes and sizes.</p>

<p>The study focused on Earth's craters and highlighted the variability in shapes, including Barringer Crater, which is around 49,000 years old. Meteor Crater, the other name for Barringer Crater located in Arizona, is about 37 miles (or 60 kilometres) east of Flagstaff city in the US state. It resembles a bowl embedded in the ground.</p>

<p>According to a study published in the journal Physical Review E on November&nbsp;22, loosely bound clumpy asteroids, exhibiting curveball-like spins, could be responsible for creating some of Earth's uniquely shaped craters. The research suggested that craters formed by rapidly spinning asteroids tend to be wider and shallower compared to those formed by their slower-spinning counterparts.&nbsp;</p>

Security Breach in Indian Parliament: Chaos Erupts in Lok Sabha

Two individuals entered the Indian Parliament's lower house and disrupted proceedings by hurling tear gas canisters, leading to an abrupt adjournment of the ongoing session on December 13. The act caused chaos as everyone ran and left the house.

The incident, occurring on the anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attack on Parliament, stirred memories of that fateful day when perpetrators, armed with guns and explosives, infiltrated the Parliament complex in the capital of New Delhi.

Initial unconfirmed reports suggest that the two who breached the Parliament security chanted slogans, saying dictatorship will not be tolerated. The motivation of the individuals is yet not clear.

Congress leaders Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and Karti Chidambaram provided firsthand accounts, describing the chaos and the immediate response to apprehend the two individuals. "The smoke could have been poisonous," said Chidambaram.

Near Transport Bhavan, located near the Parliament complex, two additional protesters were apprehended. The individuals, identified as Amol from Maharashtra and Neelam from Hisar (Haryana), were taken into custody. Security agencies have not yet disclosed the identities of the two individuals who entered the Lok Sabha.

<p>The Chargé d'Affaires was urged to promptly communicate to the Afghan Interim Government the imperative need for a thorough investigation and decisive action against the perpetrators of this terrorist act.</p>

Response from security forces was initiated to regain control of the situation in the aftermath of the attack.</p>
