The first flight will land in Kerala&nbsp;around 9:40pm. The Kochi flight is bringing back 175 Indian nationals from Abu Dhabi.&nbsp;The second flight will also bring 175 stranded Indians from Dubai to Kozhikode, and will land around 10:30pm.

Air India will continue the rescue operation for Indians stranded in&nbsp;Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait, Muscat, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Malaysia, Philippines, UAE, Bangladesh, the US and the UK.

However, the focus remains on the Gulf countries, where around 3 lakh people are stranded, according to reports.

Delhi's Education Ministry, too, declared summer vacations from May 11 to June 30 for all schools and colleges. The statement, issued by the education department on Wednesday, directed the schools and colleges to not call the students to the campuses for any kind of work.

The HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has announced that no exams for&nbsp;class 10 will be conducted nationwide, except for students of&nbsp;Northeast Delhi. The datesheet for class 12's remaining exams is also expected to be announced soon.

However, Goa, being a green zone, has decided to resume the state-board examinations. Class 10's exams will resume from May 20, and class 12's will resume from May 21 under the supervision of&nbsp;Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

The state government has granted permission for resuming the examinations, on the condition that all precautions for social distancing are followed.

Students seeking Prime Minister's Research Fellowship can also take a sigh of relief as the required GATE score has been decreased, as announced on Thursday.

As Karnataka denied entry to the migrant workers, a group of almost 150 migrant labourers arrived at the Campal area of Panaji on Wednesday night.&nbsp;

The chaos happened as the workers apparently failed to prove their identity as a Karnataka resident. The workers claim to have proper permission from the Goa government to travel back to their hometowns in Karnataka. However, they were denied entry to the state and had to return back to Goa.

Deputy Collector Vivek HP, along with a team of senior officials went to the Campal area to meet the stranded labourers on Wednesday night. He has assured the labourers that he will talk to Karnataka government and help them migrate back to their hometowns.

Migrant workers denied entry into Karnataka; Goa offers help

According to the consultancy Edelman’s Trust Barometer report, individuals have started putting more trust in their government than any other institution for the first time in 20 years.

Governments are now more trusted than businesses, non-profits and the media. It was the only institution trusted by more than 62 per cent&nbsp;of the population.

Edelman has surveyed more than 13,000 people in 11 countries including the U., U., India and China.. The latest report contrasts with their January survey.

The January survey showed businesses as the most trusted institution while government and media tied as the least trusted. As per the new results, &nbsp;trust in government jumped nearly 11 per cent from 54 per cent&nbsp;in January to 65 per cent&nbsp;in April.

Public trust in government was highest in China, India and Saudi Arabia. In India, there has been a 6 per cent&nbsp;rise in people's trust in the government.

The countries where the trust was found lowest are France, the US and Japan.

The countries which witnessed a massive shift in public's trust were the UK, Canada, Germany and South Korea. These countries witnessed a double digit rise in public trust.

In the United States, 46 per cent respondents said that they trusted the federal government. While 66 per cent&nbsp;said they had trust in local or state government. Globally, a large majority of people even said that they wanted government to lead in multiple areas of the pandemic response. This includes containing the pandemic, informing the public and providing economic relief.

Since 2011, mistrust in governments has been on a rise. For the first time in years, the public is relying on the government to protect them in a manner not seen since World War II.

This kind of rise of trust is a classic example of what experts call "rallying around the flag".

The report seems to indicate that people trust strong and decisive leadership - may be even leaning towards authoritarianism. However, this could end up to be a dangerous precedent for the world.

Governments are now more trusted than businesses, non-profits and the media. It was the only institution trusted by more than 62 per cent of the population. Edelman has surveyed more than 13,000 people in 11 countries including the U., U., India and China.. The latest report contrasts with their January survey. The January survey showed businesses as the most trusted institution while government and media tied as the least trusted. As per the new results, trust in government jumped nearly 11 per cent from 54 per cent in January to 65 per cent in April. Public trust in government was highest in China, India and Saudi Arabia. In India, there has been a 6 per cent rise in people's trust in the government. The countries where the trust was found lowest are France, the US and Japan. The countries which witnessed a massive shift in public's trust were the UK, Canada, Germany and South Korea. These countries witnessed a double digit rise in public trust. In the United States, 46 per cent respondents said that they trusted the federal government. While 66 per cent said they had trust in local or state government. Globally, a large majority of people even said that they wanted government to lead in multiple areas of the pandemic response. This includes containing the pandemic, informing the public and providing economic relief. Since 2011, mistrust in governments has been on a rise. For the first time in years, the public is relying on the government to protect them in a manner not seen since World War II. This kind of rise of trust is a classic example of what experts call "rallying around the flag". The report seems to indicate that people trust strong and decisive leadership - may be even leaning towards authoritarianism. However, this could end up to be a dangerous precedent for the world.

Out of 99 cases, 22 patients have recovered and have been discharged. Nepal hasn't reported any coronavirus-related death, till now.

In the last couple of days, 16 cases were registered in a day, out of which, 15 were already quarantined as they had been in contact with a person who had attended the Tablighi Jamaat in March.

These 15 people,&nbsp;eight men and seven women, belong to the western region of Nepal and are under treatment now.

Punjab Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla`s campaign -- Ambassadors of Hope -- which was launched for the students to share their creativity during lockdown -- has created a world record as close to 1,05,898 school going children have shared their videos.

"The campaign created a world record as never in the past so many students participated in an online video competition concluded in eight days. Currently, Cebu City Commission, a government body of the Philippines, holds the record of the highest participation as they had got 43,157 participants in eight day-long online competition," said Singla on Wednesday.

"The primary objective of engaging the students in constructive activity in the atmosphere of abject negativity has been achieved," an official statement quoted Singla as saying "It is heartening to see the response we have got from the children.

For me, every child is a winner as they have kept the Punjabi Virsa alive. Most of the entries are deeply-rooted in Punjabi ethos and culture. I am grateful to all the students, who shared innovative ideas through videos on just one call," added Singla.

The Minister said that they appreciate the spirit of students and efforts put in by their parents, teachers and school principals in guiding and motivating them.

"I and my team will go through every video and prepare a detailed report to announce the results in the next 20 days," he said.

The SCAI has picked up from the recent long queues spotted for alcohol shops and has thus told the governments that they can assure better and more hygienic environment for the shoppers. They have also assured that social distancing norms will be implemented and followed, in addition to making masks compulsory,&nbsp;if the malls get the permission to open.

They have emphasised on the importance of better&nbsp;standard operating procedures (SOPs).

The SCAI has requested&nbsp;intervention of the governments to protect the industry that feeds 12 million people. The group has said in a statement that the organised markets will be able to provide equally safe, if not more, environment to the customers.

The retail industry contributes over 10 per cent to India's GDP, the second largest after agriculture,&nbsp;the SCAI release said, adding it employs over 8 per cent of the overall workforce making it the third largest in the country.

The organised markets have been badly hit financially due to the lockdown. While some standalone shops have been allowed to operate in lockdown 3.0, organised markets still face the blunt of economy crisis.

TASMAC shops will be allowed to sell only one bottle of liquor per person, and each consumer can buy only once in three days. Online customers will be allowed to buy two bottles, and the online customers can buy only twice a week.

Timings have also been allotted according to age groups. Healthy individuals above 50yrs can visit the shops between 10am to 1pm,&nbsp;below 50 to 40 yrs can visit 1pm to 3pm and people below 40 years can visit from 3pm to 5pm only.

Face masks will be compulsory for everyone stepping outside their homes.

Officials have said that Aadhar cards will be checked to make sure none of the customers are from containment zones. The customers will be divided into smaller groups to avoid spread of virus.

All the bars related to TASMAC remain closed; only stand-alone shops have been allowed to open in certain areas. Police will be closely monitoring the situation.

Ghaziabad, which falls under the category of Delhi-NCR, has decided to extend the lockdown and impose Section 144 till May 31, fearing the sudden increase and hoping to contain the spread of coronavirus.
