A Facebook News section that debuted late last year in the US will be expanded in the next six months or so to more countries, with top contenders said to be Brazil, Britain, France, Germany, and India.

"In each country, we'll pay news publishers to ensure their content is available in the new product," Facebook global news partnerships vice president Campbell Brown said in a blog post.

Facebook News is off to a "strong start" in the US, driving a significant amount of online traffic to publishers, according to Brown.

"Based on this progress, we are accelerating our plans to expand internationally," Brown said.

News agencies have struggled to make money as ad revenue and people's attention have shifted online, where stories are available free of charge in a dynamic criticized by publishers.

"I'm not going to ... speculate about what I would do," in such a situation, he said. "But what I can tell you is that I will not participate in a decision at FDA that`s made upon anything other than data and science. That I can assure you," he said.

Trump hailed the FDA "emergency use authorization" for convalescent plasma on Sunday, shortly before the beginning of this week's Republican National Convention.

Hahn said the decision was made by the agency's scientists and that he concurred with it after looking at the data.

The UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has applauded the local authorities and schools for the arrangements made for reopening of the schools amid the pandemic.

The Prime Minister has said he is "really impressed" and is looking forward to children returning back to schools from next week,&nbsp;a test of his government after it failed to return all children to schools earlier this year.

"I'm really pleased by the work that teachers, schools, parents, pupils have done to get ready," he said while on a visit.

Johnson has claimed it is extremely important for children to return back to schools and resume their day-to-day lives in the 'new normal' circumstances.

He has also said taht the government will keep a close check on the circumstances and will uodate the COVID-19 guidelines for school-goers as time passes by.&nbsp;"You know, we`ll look at the changing medical evidence as we go on. If we need to change the advice, then of course we will."

Earlier this years, the Johnson government tried to reopen schools but was unable to due to incomplete preparations and protests from parents, school teachers and the opposition leaders.

The opposition leader,&nbsp;Keir Starmer, had labelled the government as "incompetent" this month after the PM's administration failed to use an effective algorithm to determine exam results.

While some parents are still hesitant about sending children back to schools, some have supported the decision. The PM has urged everyone to maintain social distance and carry out regular sanitisation to avoid infection from the novel coronavirus.

A resport in a Southern French city, also known as the 'Nudist City', has become the recent COVID-19 hotspot in the country after hundreds of people tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The resort,&nbsp;Cap d'Agde Naturist Village, is famous as it is world's largest resort to follow the 'clothing optional' guidelines. Due to it popularity, the resort, located on the Nudist Beach, attracts nearly 40,000 people on any given day.

However, now the resort has gained name for being a COVID-19 hotspot as more than 150 people tested positive for coronavirus.&nbsp;

The resort, located near the Mediterranean coast of France's Occitanie region, will be going through COVID-19 testing by the&nbsp;Occitanie Regional Health Authorities in three parts. Around 490 people were tested on the first day, out of which 95 people staying there tested positive, while 50 visitors who were enroite home also tested positive.

In addition these test results, 310 additional tests are being analysed by the local authorities.&nbsp;

The authorities conducted tests after some people had raised concerns about poor COVID-19 management in the area as people were seen sunbathing without wearing face masks, and were spotted in large groups without social distancing.

"Unfortunately, many of the sunbathing citizens were gathered in large groups, and some were not wearing face masks.," a police statement said. "Upon the arrival of the police, everyone agreed to respect the government regulation [that face shields are compulsory outside the home].

"Citizens are allowed to be without clothes in designated locations, but they still must cover their mouths, and only gather in appropriate numbers."

The authorities are urging people to follow the COVID-19 guidelines.

"There are infections everywhere, including among people who are not libertines. The message is the same for everyone: wear a mask, wash your hands and practise social distancing, whether you are a libertine or not a libertine," Pierre Ricordeau, the local health authority's director-general said.

Few volunteers in Israel have discovered a treasure thta may be thousands year old, said the Irael Antiquities Authority late on Monday.

The treasure consists of a stash of hundreds of gold coins that were buried deep in the ground by someone thousands of years ago. It was found by few teenager volunteers who were working at an excavation in Central Israel.

The excavation was a part of the pre-building process of a new neighbourhood that is being planned in the area.

The authorities revealed that according to initial investigation, the coins were buried around 1,100 years ago and the owner had even secured the utensil holding the coins to make sure it does not move, which points towards the fact that the owner hoped to come back for the vessel.

The area earlier housed workshops when the coins were placed in that area, as per old records. While the experts are studying the coins and hoping to reach some conclusion, the identity of the owner or the reason why the owner buried or never retrieved the treasure will probably remain a mystery forever.

However, the experience was "amazing" for the young volunteers.&nbsp;“I dug in the ground and when I excavated the soil, saw what looked like very thin leaves. When I looked again I saw these were gold coins. It was really exciting to find such a special and ancient treasure,”&nbsp;said Oz Cohen, one of the volunteers who found the treasure.

South Korean authorities reported the highest daily rise in novel coronavirus cases since early March on Sunday, saying tougher social distancing rules may be needed as outbreaks continued to spread from a Seoul church and other gatherings.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) reported 397 new infections as of midnight Saturday, up from the previous day’s 332 and marking more than a week of daily three-digit rises.
