In the ongoing Pakistan Cup, Haris has already scored 219 runs in seven matches at an average of just under 44 for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Asif has picked up eight wickets in seven matches for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with an economy-rate of 4.39.

Haris was named in the Pakistan squad for the home series against New Zealand but the series couldn't be played at the time as the Kiwis returned home on the day of the series opener. 
 
"Australia are an equally outstanding team in the shorter formats of the game and, as such, we have decided to go with the best available and most experienced players. The four white-ball matches have significant context as the 50-over games count towards the 2023 World Cup qualification and the 20-over will be a repeat of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 semi-final. So, a lot to look-out for when the two sides will compete in coloured kits," added Wasim.

I would say find out from the curators in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai etc how they prepare the turners on which Indian spinners dominate. I am surprised until now Pakistan has not been able to produce pure turning tracks, which will help our spinners."

Ahead of the third and final Test, former Pakistan cricketer Aquib Javed has slammed the Ramiz Raja-led Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the pitches it has produced and asked them to take a leaf from the curators in India. In this regard, he said on his Youtube channel, "Why go anywhere else? I would say find out from the curators in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai etc how they prepare the turners on which Indian spinners dominate. I am surprised until now Pakistan has not been able to produce pure turning tracks, which will help our spinners." Thus, Javed has asked PCB to learn from the Indian curators in preparing turning pitches which would benefit the hosts. In the recently-concluded India-Sri Lanka Test series, in India, Rohit Sharma & Co. whitewashed the Lankans despite not playing on rank-turners but on pitches which did offer adequete help for the spinners and also led to pacers chipping in with regular scalps. Thus, it will be interesting to see what kind of a surface is prepared for the Pakistan-Australia Test series finale.
