The European country is now mulling plans to reduce its dependence on Chinese raw materials by chalking up a new trade deal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Reportedly, Economy Minister Robert Habeck stated that Germany couldn't be allowed to be blackmailed by other countries.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We cannot allow ourselves to be blackmailed. If [the Chinese market] were to close, which is not likely at the moment...we would have extreme sales problems," said Habeck.</p>

<p>The minister also noted that 'there is no more naivety' regarding the country's policy while dealing with trade partners. Habeck added that he was against&nbsp;China’s Cosco buying a stake in a container operator at Germany’s Hafen Hamburg port.</p>

While German imports to China have only increased by 12.4 per cent in the first half of 2022 compared to 3.4 per cent in 2000, the German imports of Chinese goods have leapt an astronomical 45.7 per cent on a year-on-year basis.</p>

<p>A report by an organisation founded by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt has sounded the warning bell for the US tech space. The report warns that the US could lose the tech competition to China if it does not take action on 5G, AI, and microchip core fronts.&nbsp;</p>

<p>An Indian-origin man was sentenced to six weeks' jail on Tuesday for stealing three cans of Coca-Cola worth a little more than $2 (SGD3) from a minimart at a local housing estate.</p>

At the moment, Hughes has 1 Gbps of capacity on HTS but expects to grow it to 10 Gbps to 100 Gbps in the future.&nbsp;</p>

So far Reliance Jio, the entire system, the outdoor modem etc. are made in India. The antenna and the dishes you see are completely made by the company in India.&nbsp;The Indian Oil and SD-WAN project are also made in India," Chatterjee told <strong>WION</strong>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, the September 27 launch can only take place if NASA's engineering team can successfully carry out a test to fuel the Space Launch System (SLS). <p>In addition to reinstating the annual tradition of trimming down the employee count, Goldman Sachs is also expected to bring back its&nbsp;annual performance review policy for employees at the end of the year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier this month, it was announced that the private sector will soon be manufacturing and realising the country's most reliable rocket, the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). On Monday, on the sidelines of the launch of India's first satellite broadband service, ISRO Chairman Dr S Somnath added that private consortiums will soon be manufacturing India's heavy rockets viz. the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) rockets as well.</p>

<p>Quizzed whether ISRO will be collaborating with the private sector for the heavy&nbsp;launch vehicles, the ISRO chief replied in affirmative.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"In due course time, we will be handing over the manufacturing of GSLV-MK&nbsp;III and SSLV&nbsp;to industrial consortiums. That is our plan for the long term to hand over all operational launches...to be rebuilt, relaunched and operated on a commercial basis by NSIL (New Space India Limited) [ISRO's commercial arm]." Dr Somnath told WION.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The ISRO chief further added, "We are also looking at how in the future rockets can be built, designed and built by consortiums, industries and NSIL for a better, cost-effective structure. Instead of government spending money. This model will be changing in due course of time,"</p>

<p>It is pertinent to note that GSLV series is the largest launch vehicle developed by India, which is currently in operation. ISRO chief added that the private space industry in India was growing.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We believe that the satellites which are coming up in the private ecosystem which is definitely going to happen. That's the market we are looking at. We are also seeing the growth of the industry significantly in India. Not only small satellites but bigger satellites are also being built here in India. Maybe the ones that are being built outside will also be built here in India. We hope that it will happen and NSIL will move towards that market." said Dr Somnath.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As reported by WION, a consortium of the government-run Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and private entity L&amp;T won the bid for building five PSLV rockets, over a period of four years.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The contract for the same was exchanged between HAL and ISRO's commercial arm NSIL (New Space India Limited) during the inaugural session of the seventh Bengaluru Space Expo 2022.&nbsp;Based on competitive bidding, the HAL-led consortium emerged as the successful one with their $109&nbsp;million (Rs 860 crore)&nbsp;bid.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Russian news agencies, the clashes broke out on Tuesday over hostilities related to the decades-old Nagorno-Karabakh territory dispute.&nbsp;Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that 49&nbsp;service personnel died during the attack while the&nbsp;Azerbaijan side was yet to release a figure.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"At 00:05 am (2005 GMT) on Tuesday, Azerbaijan launched intensive shelling, with artillery and large-calibre firearms, against Armenian military positions in the direction of the cities of Goris, Sotk, and Jermuk," Armenia's defence ministry said in a statement released.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Azerbaijani forces continue using artillery, trench mortars, and drones...striking military and civilian infrastructure. The enemy is trying to advance (into Armenian territory)," the statement further read.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Scientists from Seoul National University and the Korea Institute of Fusion Energy have made a major breakthrough in their pursuit of clean nuclear energy by creating an 'artificial sun' at the Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) reactor.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Reportedly, the reactor reached temperatures upward of 100 million degree Celsius for 30 seconds. Comparatively, the core of the sun hits temperatures around 15 million degrees.</p>

<p>It is pertinent to note that nuclear fusion is considered the holy grail of energy and it is what powers our sun. It merges atomic nuclei to create massive amounts of energy, which is the opposite of the fission process used in atomic weapons and nuclear power plants, which splits them into fragments.</p>

<p>By mimicking the natural reaction of the sun, scientists are hoping that the technology may help humanity harness vast amounts of energy and help battle the energy crisis.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“We usually say that fusion energy is a dream energy source – it is almost limitless, with low emission of greenhouse gases and no high-level radioactive waste – [but the latest breakthrough] means fusion is not a dream,” said Yoo Suk-jae, president, Korea Institute of Fusion Energy.</p>

<p>Unlike fission, fusion emits no greenhouse gases and carries less risk of accidents or the theft of atomic material. The scientists at KSTAR are not sitting on their laurels and have already put their sights on operating the reactor for five minutes or 300 seconds.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“This is not the end of the story, we must move on to 300 seconds – 300 is the minimum time frame to demonstrate steady-state operations, then this plasma can work forever,”</p>

<p>However, this is not the first time that an artificial sun has been created in laboratories. As reported by WION, Chinese scientists have been working on developing smaller versions of the nuclear fusion reactor since 2006.</p>

<p>Reportedly, last year in December, the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) fusion energy reactor created an artificial sun, reaching temperatures of 70 million degrees Celsius&nbsp;for 1,056 seconds, which is five times hotter than the sun.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Prior to that in May, the same reactor ran for 101 seconds at a temperature of 20 million degrees Celsius.&nbsp;</p>
