But our world is smarter than what China perceives it to be and not many countries signed up for Chinese vaccines.

So the dragon began pushing its vaccines by distributing them as donations, especially to low and middle-income countries.

In July 2020, China promised a billion-dollar vaccine loan for Latin American and Caribbean countries.

We don't know if it was ever delivered.

As of March 2021, here's where China stands in the vaccine race.

Our world has over 195 sovereign states and only 28 are inoculating its people with Chinese vaccines.

According to local reports, so far, China has administered more than 52 million doses of vaccines at home.

It has committed ten times the amount abroad.

In January, Sinovac reached only half of its daily manufacturing capacity.

The countries that ordered Chinese jabs were disappointed with its delayed deliveries.

Brazil, Turkey have raised concerns.

If Brazil was protesting Chinese vaccines, the mood was not too different back home.

In Beijing, health workers were scared to get themselves inoculated.

How China lost vaccine race to India?

An Indianapolis man was accused of fatally shooting four people over the weekend after arguing with his girlfriend because he wanted a portion of her federal coronavirus stimulus check, police officials said.

The man, Malik Halfacre, 25, was arrested Sunday, a day after the shootings, and is expected to face murder, robbery and attempted-murder charges, according to the police and Indiana jail records.

Just after 9:30 p.m. local time Saturday, the police received a report of a person shot in a home on North Randolph Street. There, the police said, officers found a woman who was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds. That victim told the police that there were additional victims at another home, also on North Randolph Street.

At the second home, the police found four gunshot victims whom they identified as Eve Moore, 7; Daquan Moore, 23; Anthony Johnson, 35; and Tomeeka Brown, 44. They were all pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical workers, the police said.

The woman who was shot at the first house was identified by the police in a probable cause affidavit as J.M. She told the police that Halfacre was her boyfriend and that after the shooting, he had taken the couple’s 6-month-old child, Malia Halfacre. It was not clear how Halfacre knew the people in the second house.

Halfacre dropped off the child, unharmed, at the home of his sister, who told the police that her brother had confessed to her to killing four people, according to the police affidavit. Halfacre then went to the home of a friend, where members of a SWAT team later found him hiding in the attic. He “gave up without incident,” Officer Genae Cook of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department told reporters.

After his arrest, Halfacre spoke to detectives, according to the affidavit. “Mr. Halfacre said he and J.M. were arguing because he wanted some of her stimulus check,” it said. He also admitted to shooting the four people in the second home and taking money, it said.

Michael Leffler, communications director for the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, said Halfacre was not expected to be formally charged before Thursday and that the episode was still under investigation.

According to the research paper published earlier this month in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the researchers at the University of Science and Technology set up a laster emitter 
at their campus in Urban Shanghai and hid a mannequin behind a flat-screen inside a flat 1.43 km away.&nbsp;

A pulse laser was thrown onto a wall inside the flat, which scattered the light in different directions.&nbsp;

Some of the photons were reflected on to the mannequin, while others travelled to a sensor placed next to the laser emitter.

The photons that struck the hidden object were then reflected back onto the wall and bounced back a third time to hit the sensor.

The researchers then calculated how far each part of the mannequin was placed and recreate a three-dimensional image through an algorithm.&nbsp;

"This range is about three orders of magnitude longer than previous experiments," the scientists said in the article.&nbsp;

"The results will open avenues for the development of NLOS imaging techniques and relevant applications to real-world conditions."
