A Pennsylvania woman looking for her pet cat is believed to have fallen into a large sinkhole, police said. The 64-year-old was a resident of Unity Township and went missing after the evening of Dec 2. Elizabeth Pollard went looking for her cat, Pepper, at around 5 pm and was not seen since then.&nbsp;

Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Steve Limani said that a relative reached out to the police on the night of Dec 3 when she did not return.&nbsp;

The 64-year-old had been looking for her cat with her five-year-old granddaughter. According to the New York Times, when they went searching for her, they found the little girl still in the car. Since it was parked near the sinkhole, it led officials to believe that the woman had fallen into the sinkhole.

Limani told reporters that the girl was fine. She told the police that her grandmother left looking for the cat. While she was out the girl fell asleep in the car and when she woke up, she found that her grandma had not returned. This led police to fear the worst. "At that point in time, we realized this could be a very bad situation," Limani said at another press conference.

Rescue teams are on the site, digging up and lowering cameras to find the grandmother. Excavators are digging up dirl to let rescuers access the sinkhole. The state's Bureau of Mine Safety is also helping with the operation.&nbsp;

Limani is hoping that the operation turns out to be a rescue mission.

“We’re hoping everyone keeps their family in their prayers, that this ends up being a rescue mission, and that’s how we’re going to continue to conduct ourselves.”

As per the Associated Press, the teams have found a shoe "about 30 feet below the surface". Limani said, “It almost feels like it opened up with her standing on top of it."

In a bizarre incident, a Russian woman managed to board a Delta flight from New York’s JFK International Airport that was bound for Paris after sneaking through multiple security checkpoints.

The stowaway woman identified as Svetlana Dali, 57, allegedly bypassed several layers of security on November 26 to get onto Delta Flight 264 bound for Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. However, she was caught by a flight attendant before landing when she was hiding in the bathroom.

Dali was detained by French authorities after landing in Paris. She had boarded the flight at the Queens airport without any identification or boarding pass. The woman is attempting to claim asylum in France, CBS reported citing a source.

According to a Transportation Security Administration spokesperson, the woman first breached an airport official who was in charge of the Known Crewmember checkpoint at terminal 4 of the John F. Kennedy International Airport, as per a CNN report. She then bypassed the TSA screening station, where her boarding pass and ID were supposed to be checked. It is still unclear how she was able to board the flight after TSA checkpoints.

While proceeding to the gate, Deli stood in the middle of a family, who were travelling together, according to the authorities. The investigators believe that she may have been able to go past all these layers amid the massive holiday crowds at the airport on the weekend. According to TSA, nearly 2.7 million passengers were screened at the US airport.

Before that, another Trump attorney Lindsey Halligan was targeted in a separate Iranian hacking attack, reported CNN.

The president-elect's son, Donald Trump Jr, has also revealed that he was notified by the FBI that he was one of Iran's "top targets".

As per the Trump transition team, prominent cabinet nominees and appointees of the incoming president have even received bomb threats and "swatting attacks." The FBI is carrying out an investigation into the matter.

Members of Trump's first administration also faced similar attacks from Iran.

During the 2024 US election campaigning, they also sent information from Trump's campaign to rival Joe Biden's campaign, according to reports. At the time, the Iranian government denied allegations of election meddling.
