The poll found that Republicans are now less likely to believe that Jan 6 rioters were "mostly violent."

This, as per the report, is a "baseless conspiracy theory" that Trump himself has made mention of in his speeches. Furthermore, it has also been promoted by right-wing media.

However, Democrats still, for a large part, continue to believe that the Riot was "a violent threat to democracy for which Trump bears responsibility."

Only 55 per cent of the poll participants said that the Jan 6 riot threatened democracy, others, most of them Republicans, disagree.

More than 7 in 10 Republicans said it was "time to move on".

Thirty-year-old Kyler Efinger, who lived in Park City, was found lying unconscious inside an engine - which had been mounted to the wing of a commercial aircraft filled with passengers - by the police officers on Monday night (Jan 1), announced the Salt Lake City Police Department on Tuesday (Jan 2). The plane was standing on a de-icing pad and its engines were rotating.&nbsp;

The airport said that the man got onto the airport's secure ramp area through a terminal emergency exit and, “ran to the south end of the airport’s west runway where deicing operations were underway and crawled into an aircraft engine that was not running.”

Delta Air Lines said that their Flight 2348 was about to depart for San Francisco, but it returned to the gate and all 95 passengers were deplaned. Finally, the flight was cancelled.&nbsp;

The police officials reached the airport around 10 pm (local time) after a store manager called 911 from the airport and reported a disturbance which involved a passenger inside a terminal, said the police in a press release. US prosecutors unveiled new criminal charges against Senator Robert Menendez on Tuesday, alleging he took bribes to help a businessman secure investment from a fund with ties to Qatar's government.

Senator Menendez already faces corruption-related charges in the same case, which he has denied, including conspiring to act as an agent of Egypt and taking bribes and influence peddling for Cairo.

Menendez has rejected calls for his resignation, but in September relinquished his chairmanship of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Menendez allegedly received bribes to assist a businessman, Fred Daibes, who was "seeking millions of dollars in investment from a fund with ties to... Qatar by performing acts" beneficial to Doha, according to the indictment.

An urgent court application was submitted by the woman after the death of her 61-year-old husband late last year. The dead body of her husband was taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, however, the court was informed that the woman was forced to apply for an order after the hospital promptly failed to make a “designated officer” available who could look into the woman's request of removing the sperm from the dead body of her husband and storing it, while the sperm still remained viable.

While hearing the application, the court got to know that the couple - whose names were not published due to legal reasons - had two children, however, both of them tragically died in separate accidents.

After the deaths of their children, the couple had discussed having another child, however, the woman was advised by a fertility expert that she could not conceive because of her age. When the man's sperm were tested, it was found that it remained viable.

The court was also informed that a 20-year-old cousin had volunteered to go through the IVF procedure and become a surrogate for the couple. However, the couple was living in a different country, and the woman thought the couple was required to legally live in the country for a particular period of time before going ahead with the surrogacy.

<h2>Couple failed to go for surrogacy</h2>

However, the couple missed the opportunity to move because of the pandemic, work commitments and the death of the woman's mother-in-law. While giving a verdict on the application, Judge Fiona Seaward permitted the woman to remove the sperm, however, not use it because that would need a separate court order.

“These orders are limited to permitting the removal of the spermatozoa and do not constitute authorisation for the spermatozoa to be used by the applicant, and do not in any way consider whether the applicant can or could meet any statutory criteria in that regard,” the judge said.&nbsp;

Currently, Western Australia does not permit posthumous fertilisation. The woman for taking the next step and using the sperm needs to apply for the case to get transferred to another jurisdiction which allows the procedure.

Seaward, in her decision, also reprimanded the hospital for not being able to make a “designated officer” available in a timely manner to the woman, which would have stopped the woman from filing a hasty court application.

“It is disappointing that it appears that, once again, an applicant has been required to attend court on an urgent basis and in traumatic circumstances to obtain an order that may, if the designated officer considered all criteria to be met, be granted in a faster and more streamlined manner,” she said.

In a statement, the California-based organisation devoted to helping the poor said it was driven to bankruptcy by a California state law that has enabled sexual abuse victims to file complaints over decade-old incidents. Previously, such complaints were time-barred under the state's statute of limitations, reports Reuters.

The Franciscan Friars of California faces 94 lawsuits, most of which have been filed in the western US state of California.&nbsp;

All these lawsuits, as per the group, are based on abuse that allegedly dates back at least 27 years. On Tuesday, the Franciscan Friars of California said that most of the friars accused in these lawsuits are deceased and the six who are still alive are no longer associated with the organisation.
