The deaths were confirmed by Tehsil Headquarters&nbsp;(THQ) Hospital Alizai official, Dr Ghayuur Hussain. Meanwhile, several others were also injured, including three women.&nbsp;

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. This comes as&nbsp;Pakistan has witnessed&nbsp;a surge in terrorist attacks in the past months, mainly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.&nbsp;

Media reports earlier this week said that the victim was identified as Brandon Durham. Durham and his 15-year-old daughter were at their home when the shooting happened on November 12. A report by The Guardian on Thursday (Nov. 21) said that Durham's family has called for the officer's arrest. What happened on November 12? According to the police, Durham called the emergency line on the morning of November 12 to report that two people were shooting outside of his house and were trying to break in. In a statement, the police said Durham stated that someone had entered through the front and back doors of the house, and he was locking himself in the bathroom. "Simultaneously, officers arrived in the area, including Officer Alexander Bookman. They observed damage to the house and could hear screaming coming from inside the residence. Based on the circumstances, Officer Bookman kicked in the front door," the statement said. As the cops entered the residence, they located Durham and a woman named Alejandra Boudreaux struggling over a knife. Bookman yelled to drop the knife and then fired at Durham. Footage showed that both Durham and Boudreaux fell to the ground, and Bookman advanced and fired his gun five more times. "Officers took Boudreaux into custody and provided medical attention to Durham. Medical personnel were summoned and pronounced Durham deceased at the scene," the police statement said. Boudreaux, meanwhile, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Centre. According to the police, Boudreaux appeared to have had some relationship with Durham. Family, lawyers call for accountability Earlier this week, civil rights attorney Lee Merritt, who is representing Durham's family, said he believed that an arrest warrant (against Bookman) should be issued immediately. “Brandon was found in his hallway to his bedroom, in his underwear, asking for help while an assailant attempted to stab him using a large knife,” Merritt added. The arrangement was signed during Australia-India Air Staff Talks in New Delhi earlier on Thursday.

Australia's Deputy Chief of Air Force, Air Vice-Marshal Harvey Reynolds, said in a statement, "This arrangement is a significant step forward in our relationship with India, and will provide valuable opportunities for our personnel to work closely together, share knowledge and expertise, and build trust and understanding."

This is the first such known arrangement India has with any country regarding air-to-air refuelling. There have been cases of mid-air refuelling involving foreign forces, but that is usually during air exercises. The development increases the range and endurance of Indian, and Australian militaries, enhances the shared picture of the Indian Ocean, and supports each other’s deployments and exercises across the Indo-Pacific.&nbsp;

The plaintiff, George Abrahams, a United States Army veteran and Philadelphia painting contractor, said the gun discharged while it was holstered in his pocket. Abrahams had placed the holstered pistol in the pocket of his pants, zipped it shut, and began walking downstairs when the gun fired. The bullet passed through his thigh and exited above his knee, leaving him with permanent injuries, court documents state.

This follows another case where earlier this year a federal jury awarded $2.35 million to a man from the US state of Georgia. The man was injured by his P320 after it discharged while holstered.&nbsp;

Both cases were handled by the law firm Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky, which is pursuing additional claims against Sig Sauer.

Ryan Hurd, Zimmerman’s co-counsel, said in a statement, “We have said it before, and juries are now speaking loud and clear with their verdicts: this gun is a danger to gun owners and anyone within the vicinity of this gun.”

Lawyers estimate around 500,000 of these pistols are currently in circulation in the US. The lawsuit also claimed that the P320 “is the most dangerous pistol for its users sold in the United States market.”&nbsp;

They also highlighted that the military version of the P320 includes an external safety to prevent accidental discharges, but this feature is not included in the civilian and law enforcement versions.

Arrest warrants have been issued in the U.S. for Adani and his nephew Sagar and prosecutors plan to hand those warrants to foreign law enforcement, court records show. Sagar is an executive director at Adani Green and currently oversees its "strategic and financial matters".

Adani Group said in a statement that the allegations were "baseless and denied", adding that it would seek "all possible legal recourse".

US&nbsp;federal prosecutors said the defendants agreed to pay the bribes to Indian government officials to obtain power supply contracts expected to yield $2 billion of profit over 20 years, and develop India's largest solar power plant project.

They also said the Adanis and another executive at Adani Green Energy, former CEO Vneet Jaain, raised more than $3 billion in loans and bonds by hiding their corruption from lenders and investors.

The three were charged with securities fraud, securities fraud conspiracy and wire fraud conspiracy. The Adanis were also charged in a parallel US&nbsp;Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) civil case.

"Gautam and Sagar Adani were engaged in the bribery scheme during a September 2021 note offering by Adani Green that raised $750 million, including approximately $175 million from US&nbsp;investors," the SEC said in a press statement, opens new tab, adding that a company central to the scheme, Azure Power, use to trade on the New York Stock Exchange.

"The Adani Green offering materials included statements about its anti-corruption and anti-bribery efforts that were materially false or misleading in light of Gautam and Sagar Adani's conduct," it added.

Indian authorities, including the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), did not respond to requests for comment on the US&nbsp;charges. Azure Power also did not respond to a request for comment.

Debopriyo Moulik, a criminal lawyer based in New Delhi, said he expected the Adani Group to seek a dismissal of the indictment. 
"Since (an) arrest warrant has been issued, the US&nbsp;authorities will have to approach the Indian government through the Indian embassy to execute such warrant in India," he added. India and the US&nbsp;have an extradition treaty.

Shares in Adani Green Energy plunged 16% and stocks for many other firms in the conglomerate, including flagship firm Adani Enterprises (ADEL.NS), opens new tab, lost more than 10%. The group lost $20 billion in value in Thursday's trade in India, putting its firms' combined market capitalisation at $148 billion. Before last year's Hindenburg report, the group's market value was $235 billion.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration has been accused by political opponents of favouritism toward Adani in government decisions. Modi and Adani, who both are from the western state of Gujarat, have denied impropriety.

Adani bribery case: Arrest warrants issued against Indian billionaire, nephew in US

Britain's former deputy prime minister John Prescott, who served under Tony Blair and with him helped transform the country's Labour Party, has died aged 86, his family said on Thursday.

"We are deeply saddened to inform you that our beloved husband, father and grandfather, John Prescott, passed away yesterday (Wednesday) at the age of 86," a statement read.

Blair, the privately educated lawyer who appointed working-class Prescott to help appease the Labour left as he moved the party to the centre ground, said he was "devastated" at Prescott's death.&nbsp;

"There was no one quite like him in British politics," he told BBC radio.

As well as being a prominent figure on the domestic stage, Prescott led negotiations for Britain for the 1997 international Kyoto Protocol on climate change.&nbsp;

Former US vice president and leading environmentalist Al Gore paid tribute to a "dear friend" and said he would be "forever grateful for his commitment to solving the climate crisis".

Prescott, a former merchant seaman and trade union activist who served as a member of parliament for Hull in northern England for four decades, died "peacefully" at a care home, his wife Pauline, and two sons said.
