American Airlines Boeing jet 737-800, which was flying from Chicago to Las Vegas, had to forcefully divert back to O'Hare airport after a mid-air emergency on Sunday (Dec 1).

The Boeing jet flew back to its origin airport after the indicators of multiple door warning lights went off, as per the data collected by FlightRadar24.

American Airlines said the short flight duration of Flight AA1047 happened probably because of a “possible maintenance issue.”

The flight had earlier departed just after 8 am local time and came back to Chicago by 10 am, as per FlightAware.&nbsp;

The flight took off for the second time for Harry Reid International Airport after noon and it landed at the destination at around 2 pm local time, as per the flight tracking website.&nbsp;

“Flight 1047 returned to ORD for a possible maintenance issue,” said an&nbsp;American spokesperson, while speaking to Fox Business.

“The flight landed safely and taxied to the gate," the spokesperson said.

The aircraft involved in the emergency is a 15-year-old Boeing 737-800.

It was manufactured at Boeing's plant in Renton, Washington and was delivered on March 29, 2010.&nbsp;

The aircraft is mostly used as a domestic flight and connects Chicago to other places.

This also comes after the governing Georgian Dream party claimed victory in the parliamentary elections held on October 26, which, according to the pro-European opposition, were&nbsp;fraudulent.

Georgia's opposition is boycotting the new parliament, citing concerns over the legitimacy of the recent elections, meanwhile, pro-EU President Salome Zurabishvili has asked the constitutional court to nullify the election results, declaring the newly formed government and the new legislature "illegitimate".

As per Eka Beselia, the lawyer representing Zurabishvili in the court, the president wants the court to cancel the results "over widespread violations of voting universality and ballot secrecy".

Her office said in a statement that on Tuesday, she "filed a lawsuit at the Constitutional Court of Georgia, requesting the annulment of the election results as unconstitutional."

According to the interior ministry, over 150 protesters have been arrested; however, the Georgian Young Lawyers' Association claims the number to be 200.

That ballot was won by Calin Georgescu, a little-known far-right admirer of Russian President Vladimir Putin. A run-off is slated for December 8.

The far right's surprise success has raised fears in the West that it could potentially herald a shift in the foreign policy of the NATO country and EU member, which borders Ukraine.

But political analyst Cristian Pirvulescu said the vote failed to provide "clear" answers.

"It's really an extraordinarily fragmented parliament, with a lot of risks," he told AFP, as the outcome could make negotiations to form a government difficult.&nbsp;

"It is an important signal that Romanians have sent to the political class," said Social Democrat Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.&nbsp;

Ciolacu said the country should continue on its European path, while stressing that "protecting our identity, national values and faith" was equally important.

Voter turnout reached its highest level in 20 years at more than 52 percent.

- 'Beginning of a new era' - 
Romania's far-right parties -- which oppose sending aid to Ukraine -- welcomed the results.

"Today the Romanian people voted for the pro-sovereignty forces," said George Simion, leader of the far-right AUR party, which was on 17.9 percent of the vote.

"It is the beginning of a new era in which the Romanian people reclaim the right to decide their own destiny," he added.

The extreme-right SOS Romania party, led by firebrand Diana Sosoaca, and the recently founded Party of Young People (POT), each had more than five percent of the vote and were expected to enter parliament.

Since the fall of Communism in 1989, the country of 19 million has never seen such a breakthrough by the far right. But anger over soaring inflation and fears of being dragged into Russia's war in neighbouring Ukraine have mounted.

"The sharp rise of the far right, (grabbing) up to a third of the votes" mirrors the accumulated frustrations in society as well as "economic discontent", said political commentator Radu Magdin.
