'Varanasi' to release in 50 languages across 120 countries
SS Rajamouli’s upcoming epic adventure film Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is targeting a historic global rollout by releasing across more than 120 countries. In an ambitious move to preserve the raw emotional depth and intent of the performances, the director has decided to bypass synthetic tools, opting instead to sample over 1,500 real voice artists to dub the movie in approximately 50 different languages—ranging from major Indian languages to French, Spanish, Japanese, and Arabic.
