The UK Ministry of Defence says a drone that targeted the RAF Akrotiri base in Cyprus did not originate from Iran, though the launch point remains unclear.
British officials said the drone was aimed at the Royal Air Force installation at Akrotiri, a strategic UK base in the eastern Mediterranean. Authorities did not specify where the drone was launched from as investigations continue.
The incident comes after the United Kingdom pledged support for the United States during the ongoing conflict involving Iran.
