US-Iran War: Iran Withdraws From Winter Paralympics As Sole Athlete Pulls Out Over Travel Fears

Iran will not be represented at the Winter Paralympics after the country’s only athlete withdrew from the competition citing travel safety concerns.
Officials said the athlete decided to pull out due to fears related to travel amid the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel. The withdrawal means Iran will have no participants at the Winter Paralympic Games.
The development comes as tensions in the region continue to affect travel and participation in international events.
