US government shutdown: Millions of Americans could lose food aid next month
Millions of low-income Americans could lose access to food aid starting November 1 as the federal government shutdown continues. The USDA announced it will not use contingency funds to cover Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, benefits next month.
