The United Nations Security Council has adopted a resolution demanding that Iran immediately halt its attacks on Gulf states, declaring the actions a breach of international law and a serious threat to international peace and security. The resolution, backed by a large majority of member states, condemns recent Iranian missile and drone strikes against Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan. Security Council members Russia and China abstained from the vote, allowing the resolution to pass with broad support.
